Brannexx patted X2-D9 on top of its flat head. " That is an inspired idea, droid. Have an extra can of oil on me. Let's get started."

Edited post:

[Private to Brannexx Dragenn; not Jett; Jubjub; X2-D9; not Zenna Kern: After a few hours, some elbow grease and some paint Brannexx, X2, and Jubjub step back to admire their handywork. Now off to one side of the cargo hold the roof is a little lower and there is a tank labeled "Engine Coolant" and with "Emergency flush system" stencilled in still drying plaint on the sides of it. The tank looks like it is plumbed in and there is even a control valve and broken pressure gauge stuck at 1000psi and a small board of blinking LED's stuck to the side of it. All in all a job well done, to celebrate you all have a drink (oil for X2) and admire your handiwork.]

[Private to not Brannexx Dragenn; Jett; not Jubjub; not X2-D9; Zenna Kern: Meanwhile in the cockpit Zenna and Jett open the the data stick. The following appears on the data terminal;

It isn't much information but you are just the couriers completely expendable if you know what I mean.
:)

After which you both spend the next couple of hours getting the correct paperwork filed for the run and trolling the spaceport terminals and possible cargo runs to corellia. After putting in a few of tenders for different cargo runs, you go to find the boys (and robot) to visit the cantina and see if there are any passengers available as well. You enter the cargo bay to find Brannexx and Jubjub drinks in hand and X2 with a can of oil all smiling and pleased with them selves, and jabba's precious cargo is nowhere to be seen.

After a few hours, X2 lowers the gravsled and parks it.  He trundles over to look at their handiwork after being lowered to the deck plates.
A part of the ceiling looks a bit lower, what appears to be a freshly painted coolant tank, with pressure gauge next to the appropriate blinking lights on a control panel.  They way the trio placed it, the pipes seem to be connected to it, but it can be easily removed from the metal brackets holding it in place.
The astromech gives a long, low whistle of appreciation at their handiwork.  One of his manipulator appendages comes out in off of a "High Five".

"Gibhub den Skydrag nook doo?"

Jett looks around the cargo bay to see that the new crate is nowhere to be found. She puts her hands on her hips and points at the astromech in mock-accusatory fashion, "X2, you were supposed to scan that crate on the DL and let me know, before stashing it who-knows-where," half-jokingly.

"Man, people are so much easier to sway than droids, I swear," she continues, shaking her head, "And speaking of which: guys, time to rustle up some side hustle, yeah?"

Jett gave X2 the side-eye for a moment, as she shook her head. Then she glanced and gazed about the cargo hold, trying to spy the now-concealed cargo container... to no (apparent) avail. Starships had never been her thing, and so she found she'd not fared too well in this hunt.

As Jubjub chirped something at her, Jett smiled and sighed. She'd been able to suss out the gist of his words most of the time — the Ewok's use of Stardragon for starship, for example, was particularly endearing. Jett often had to resist the urge to squeeze the little murder-bear whenever it spoke.

"It's true, ye olde industrialized, shipbuilding hub — lousy with spacers claiming they're the next Han Solo. And even though somedroid, who shall remain nameless, refused to run a scan just in case the contents didn't match the manifest, the official index we saw isn't anything shocking — if it's true that is, which is all I wanted to know — for our sakes and our own good!" Jett said, before sticking her tongue out at X2.

"Contact's name is Nilo De-Sub," Jett watched the eyes of her comrades as she said the name, just in case a flash of recognition rose to the fore. Toward that end, she thought on her own past travels, both with Preigo's Traveling World of Wonder, and by her lonesome. Did the name set off any alarum bells, either by itself or by association?

While you are all looking at the screen there is a chime of incoming mail. You’re tender for transport of 500 barrels of Dilarium oil has been accepted. This will take up 125metric tonnes of cargo space filling the ship to almost capacity. It will net you 2000 credits after refueling costs or 1500 credits if you take up piracy insurance on the cargo. The supplier can have the barrels to your docking bay by the morning tomorrow.

In reply to Jett (msg # 32):

The only thing that sets off alarm bells for you Jett, is this is a new buyer untested for dubious dealings. Which could mean trouble in collecting the money.

Looking over after hearing the notification of an incoming transmission, Jett tapped her chin as she read. They'd be nearly at capacity already, but...

"Hey, we might be too full a boat already, but... a few extra credits never hurt anyone and I bet a few folks lying low at the cantina might be interested in getting to Corellia, on the sly and in a hurry, or at least somewhere along the Corellian Trade Spine that wouldn't be out of our way."

Her hand fell to her now-empty holster, and she swore under her breath. That was a problem that needed solving too. "So... anyone want to come with?"

Once Jett sees Jubjub volunteer so quickly, it makes her want to squeeze him all the more. And the fresh doubt in her mind re: their contact's inexperience is assuaged... for now.

Jett faux-formally salutes the bartender, before stopping at an edge of the bar where she can at least see trouble coming, whether it's only annoyingly-amorous or actually dangerous, sober, inebriated or somewhere in-between. "Shot of Corellian whiskey, if you please."

Before she downs the drink, Jett says loudly enough so that it's audible to those that might want to make the jump to lightspeed, "Can't wait to get a bottle of the good stuff on Corellia proper." Then she winked at the bartender, "No offense."

Then she lifts the shot-glass to Jubjub, then does a quick sweep of the room, toast raised, "Won't be long now anyway."

Jett you asked around the cantina to no avail. Jubjub you meet a bothan he says his name Gruf Bergin after you strike up a conversation and indicate you’re crew is taking a cargo of oil to corrillia he says,

“Well that’s closer to where I need to be would you be willing to take on a passenger I can pay 500 credits for the journey half now half on arrival?”

He seems like a good chap heading to the core territory’s and he has fur like you.

The Bothan indicates he will meet you at the docking bay first thing in the morning. Then leaves the cantina, as the Ewok goes running back to Jett.

And though the 2 of you search some more you don't find any more passengers for your journey.

Jett wasn't used to coming up empty, but she *was* pleased to return the Ewok's thumbs up when the little guy returned with good news. She was glad to see Jubjub come through, when at first it seemed like the Ewok was just wandering off to snatch up shiny objects. Glad, that is, until she parsed the Ewokese enough to realize it would be a Bothan passenger joining them.

While Jett didn't have any first hand experience dealing with the Bothan Spynet (that she knew of), the fact that their reputation preceded them sort of suggested they weren't great spies, paradoxically enough. Hiding in plain sight was one thing, but this might be another. And that other thing was that she'd specifically heard rumblings of the Bothans' willingness to aid the Rebellion. And suddenly, that convinced Jett to keep her doubts to herself -- for now.

"Nice," she said evenly to Jubjub, scruffing his fur. And with luck, it might still turn out that way.

The next day tucks arrive in the morning carrying barrels of oil. Each barrel has a diameter of 50cm and is 1m tall. The loading goes smoothly under the direction of Brannexx and the droid. The ship is half loaded when the Bothan arrives sporting a blaster on one hip and carrying a duffel bag. He greets you all with a very posh English accent,

“Greetings I am Gruf Bergin I booked travel with the little furry fellow. As agreed here is 250credit as half payment for my journey. Where can I stow my things?”

He asks with a charming smile.
