  Shadow  wanted the Cap ships , a slow  , deadly  dance.. moving  ahead,  turned  the  starboard side , then  rolling to the port side... as of  yet, no torpedoes   were sent yet..they would save those  for  the  bunkers  and the estate.

  The verians   in Bunkers and scattered  around the Mountain  and even in the  estate watched  this   odd occurance.Some of  Adem's offciers  talked about it  as if  it was something they  saw in a Vid screen, never having   seen any thing like this in The Black

 streaks of   reddish Yellow  or  blinding  white.. and the  eruption of   Dirt trees  and  rock...Like some  hideous tidal  wave the    'dirt' seemed to be    rolling towards them...

Smaller   explosions  Joined the bigge rones  as   an out post   or a bit of amor  where hit, nor  the impact was close  enough to 'kill' the target... there was  rippling  Movement, as they  noticed  Verians  troops  turning to  run towards   the estate.. Adem looked at the screen.

 ..But  Adem?... there is  no shelter from a  Cap ship  sized  round?... and.. thsoe   hard  rounds  the Humans use?

 from behind,  an officer  said,we are not getting  any readingns?..why aren't we getting  readings?

 the sounds  were getting louder now.. the  ground was starting to shake.. Dust  and bits of   concrete   were  shaking loose.and  behind that was a noise, an  odd  noise. It sounded like   water?...or..perhaps  wind in trees?... then, they realized.. the sound  was that  of the verian troops  screaming and shouting as they tried  to out  run the  death that chased them.

 Lizzy got out into the Black and stayed with Nikki as her wing. She would line up with Fitz their Flight leader, she watched as the streaks went down to the planet, if they only turned over Adem this wouldn't be happening. Lizzy then listened to the Music and it got her ready and she was itching for a fight. Lizzy was ready and she slew next to Nikki as they waited for their orders.

After leaving the Hangar dec Harry would take a minute to form up with the rest of her flight as the swarm of fighters jockeyed for position around the Hermes before vectoring in on the target, the silent flashes of the Hermes' broadsides signalling that the barrage had begun.

Upon learning that Bille was to be her wing today, Harry would feel a slight pang of sadness as she missed the connection she'd had with her previous wing lady; Teela who was still on long term sick and consequently unable to fly, meaning that once again Harry was to play babysitter for the latest FNG "Roger that LC, Billie form up on my port, stay close and do exactly what I tell you and you may just live to see your next battle" Harry spoke her comms to Billie before turning her attention to Raven "Hey Raven, you take care of Higgins alright, I didn't go to the trouble nursing him through his first battle just so you could get him killed on his second!" she said half-jokingly as she waited for Billie to arrive.

In the black, nothing seemed to matter save what was being asked of her along with that instinct that took hold of her. Even if her mind couldn’t fathom the names of the buttons, her body knew and she trusted in that. “Affirmative,” Billie responded to Harry moving to her port side. She wrinkled her nose and rolled her eyes at the claims that if she did exactly as Harry said then she would live. Yes it was teamwork but it also had a lot to do with the skills of a pilot as well.

She would wait until Billie had formed on her port side before accelerating towards the planet with the rest of B Flight ”Hey Billie have you ever flown in atmo before? Only your Mantis will handle very differently than in the Black” Harry asked, not wanting her new wing to plough head first into the ground because she misjudged how sharply she could turn.

 Then  came  Two  waves  of  Fighters  from    the Mouth   a long  'hanger Dec '  under the Mountain.. the Front Line  was thin.. the  Back line was thick with Fighters..

 Right!... Hermes Wing!.. do not  engage the  first  flight.. we are goign past them the  the big flight  ..

But the   time  we climn and break back, there should be a hell of a lot less  Verians in the air, then there  should be.

 to  say the first wave  was   surprsied  as they  shot  but     ESN fighters  evaded  them...only to dive  down to  start tearing Up fighters  coming  from the  overly long hanger   mouth..

  Hard ammo   fired in Blowing  up fighters     that   were  a merel 10 feet off the  ground, trying to climb,  other were  Hit inside the  Hanger  entrance, with  alot more  explosions  behind them

  SHadow  hit  two for  sure,, another  one lost  awing  as it hit one of the  'dead ones".. Frans  torched   a couple  , along the whole entrance     flashes of yellow , red  and orange   marked the dead of  a Verian   and his fighters... other  explosions  inside   told of a domino effect on the inside..

 Mean while the Cross talk chatter  was filled   with shouts  of victory and Glee  , as   the Achilles wing  were knocking  down fighters  from the first   wave..  ESN  aircraft   shot  straight up as they  reached  the  Mountain, to  climb  and   reform, before breaking into their areas of  responsibility..

  way at the  end of the  smoking , burning plain...  the Drops  ships  were  setting   down.... Yellow smoke  that would continue  until the end of this operation , marked    the   outposts for Med Tech evac  and ammo   and food.  what was   Impressive, for the pilots   who took the time to loo  , was the  sea  of ESN troops     swarming across the  plain.. weapons fired  here and there  as    , survivors  of the  barrage  tried to  reform..  , the small stuart   tanks   churning up fish tails  of  blown up earth  as the    fired  towards  the  hanger  Dec.. as the slow   Panzers   fired  over  top the   troops...  the  mountain side   began to  shoot  fountains of  rock and debris..in and other  2 minutes the  Stuarts  37MM  would be able  to fire into the hanger

 Lizzy listened and when Shadow gave out the orders Lizzy smiled, and sent over," Confirm that LC lets chew up some bad guys shall we." Lizzy looks over at Nikki hits their private comm and says," Nikki you ready lets hit them hard, together we kick ass."

 Lizzy flew right at the first wave and then didn't fire she evaded and followed LC, and her Flight Leader Fitz, she would fire at any fighters trying to take off, and any ground targets she saw, she would stay with Nikki and evade any fighters that get up and any AA guns, then she would form up with E Flight with Nikki and await further orders.

There would be little time for them to dwell on whether or not Billie had flown in an atmosphere before as the entire Hermes fighter wing continued to descend towards the planets surface, looking every bit like a meteor shower to those currently on the ground as the underbellies of the fighters glowed as they broke through Vera's atmosphere and then soared towards the mountains where Adem's hideout was located. Through out this time Harry would keep half an eye on Billie, though it quickly became apparent that she at least appeared to know what she was doing.

Harry was just a little surprised to learn that they were going to bypass the first wave of Verian fighters in order to engage the second before it had chance to take off, though she had to admit it did make a certain amount of sense. And so kicking her Mantis into it's top speed she would shoot over the top of the stunned Verian fighters, that had been moving to engage them, and open fire upon the hangar entrance with her pulse cannons before sharply pulling up and reforming so as to make a second pass if one was needed.

“That would be a negative but pointers are always appreciated,” Billie answered, a smile coming to her lips as she accelerated, following Harry’s lead. The thrill was taking over, the adrenaline blocking out any pain that she would normally experience.

  Lizzy    chewed up a few  figthers.. two  went  down, under control  another one  blew up as a  round hit its  powerCell.

  Abby    shots few  up, she  cheered for herself  as  she  hit one  the   Flipped over  and   crashed

  Harry's  weapons    did a bit of a sweep.. at least one she   hit made it into the air, while another Nosed   down , diving into the ground  to explode..

  Nikki   was certain she  got   one  as it  tried to  climb.. another one    hugged the   terrian..so she wasn't sure

 all around, the Hermes  wing was taking a good account of the hapless   fighters  trying to take off.

   As  the   circled  aroudn and saw the Achilles wing fill in  for them , Shadow got on the ALL COMs

  WC Shadow here.... I want Ground  troops  to call us in.. its  dark, can't  see  anyone unless you're blowing them up!!..use   Flares  Or  Pulse Lights  and toss them.... Untils then..    all fighters   clean the skies.....NO ONE goes in the Black.. we have people handling things up there....do your  job..and  we  win this!

 with the ALL COMs   still open , Wendy..who almost lost her  sandwich  when  Shadow   did a 90  climbed and then   curled out on the top. ..do you have to make them madder!

 Shadow  laughed, the fleet is turning the world into the Biggest Cat Box  in The Black.... we're knocking  down  fighters    before  their heaters   come on. And you are worried  about be teasing them?...

Nikki gave her guns a test after hitting the black as per norms.  "Damn right I am going to kick butt.  I gotta reason to live.  Rather make them debris" she grinned behind her helmet.  getting in formation she listened to the chatter then to the comm between her and Lizzy.  On the run she responded to Lizzy "Fire and Fury coming at ya!" and along With Lizzy began chewing up the enemy.

 Lizzy stayed with Nikki as they went and tried to chew up as many fighters and look for ground targets.They would strafe until given other orders and look for ground targets with smoke, or coordinates. " Yes we are Fire and Fury aren't we Nikki." Lizzy will watch for bad guys, and make sure Nikki is safe as well, they where wing mates and they watched after each other.

 They will form up with E-Flight after their strafing run, she hopes Nikki stays with her.

Billie made note of Harry’s position, making it a point to keep nearby. She had to make sure the she had her back if it was needed. It was almost as if she slipped into autopilot, only the coms keeping her from completely giving in while picking off any that escaped the initial attack. There was a dark glint in her eyes, a smirk on her lips.

  the Bunkers   came to life... they fired  down range, whether they wanted the troops to get closer..or they wanted to make sure no cap ships   were targeting them.. they Opened Up.. a   Stuart   tank blew up like party popper..  Geysers of   fire  send ESN troops into the  air..  Mitch's  torpedo  Planes  let thier  fish go.. 1/3  of them into the hangers..  the rest at block houses .. #   torpedo  planed     were blown to bits  by  surviving enemy fighters..., whether the devastation in the hanger  was too much..or they had  orders, none of the fighters seemed to  be  worried  bout the masses  of  troops    falling  from the  sky in drop shuttles..and  adding more enemy to the fray.

 ..OK  LC.. were going up for  another load.. I lost 3... and one   isn't going to be coming back down...

 ..do what you need to  do... when you come back down.. hit the hangers  and the   palace itself..

 Karl looked at his   screens  on his  side of the  mountain..14  Bunkers looked  active.  on the other plain 22.. but thier  Torpedo ships were making   runs  now

 Billie lit    a  Fighter  up  the  twisted  across the   field  as it burned..her  first kill..  as the  formed  up  the  saw   the other fighter  win  engaged  with   the  fighters that made it out..maybe?  100.. there were at least that many scattered on the    plain.. gods only know how  many died inside the HAnger..

 shells were  flying   from both directions  now  as the  Bungers  and  troops  comign out of the  hanger   prepared to meet the    flood of ESN  troops and armor
