Re: OOC4

I found a copy of the Osprey V-150 guide book which is a great help. The Turret is a T-50 and was also used on Australian and New Zealand M113's so I have a good idea of what Andrew's is dealing with. Cheers.

Definitely looks like it! My memories are about 4 years old now. Not much use, I'm afraid.

That they were. Not just tooling around in the V-100 but riding in the T-54.

Is Andrews's head out the turret hatch? As a note, the vehicle is south of the creek, so if he's looking for "squirters" he's looking north.

In reply to helbent4 (msg # 102):

Yes he would have his head out of the turret and also be using his field glasses. He was trying to look in the direction the merc's come from to try and see any enemy on foot or in vehicles retreating. If he is hemmed in on all sides by trees they would probably return to the main road.

The yard is mostly hemmed in by trees and greenery. The stream is directly north, he figures he's in as good a place as any to intercept any runners fleeing south.

Re: OOC4

Hi team,

I'd like to clarify the V-100 is not an APC in the normal sense.

It's an armoured car, really. It will hold 2 in the front seats, 1 in the turret, and, say, 4 more people crammed in in the passenger compartment. But everyone will be sitting cheek-to-jowl as they say.

Re: OOC4

Well, is armoured and carries personnel!

Jokes apart, the reference came from Taras as in the Red Army the BTR series would be the closes match for Taras to refer to.

In reply to Taras Vladimirovich Shevchenko (msg # 106):

Having been inside both, I'd say the BRDM would be the closest equivalent, although the V-100's interior compartment is a little more open (if lower-roofed) and there are side doors.

Kel's men:

Andrews
Tremblay
Abbot

Tyler and Koldan are not in her unit, but they're willing to help. Hawke is, but's he's not there. It may or may not be important who you send, but I don't want you to be surprised at how few personnel you have to work with!

Further, the Humvee you arrived in is stuck halfway in a septic tank. Andrews and Tremblay did capture another one, it's parked by Hawke at the market. Droz and Wayne are there, but they are guarding 3 mercs that surrendered back there.

These colors really are horrible.

Right, might be time to consolidate the prisoners, we will need anither vehicle to pull ours out.  Also, kel should probably accompany so she can get to her base radios.  Meanwhile she needs to contact hq on radio.

Re: OOC4

Maximum crew for a V-100 is 12. Obviously in the pure APC config as the turret add-on takes its fair share of space. We are going to need another vehicle in any case.

I could see 12 passengers if you really cramed them in there! This would take up every square centimetre of floor space.

Here is my understanding of the layout:

There is seating for 6. This vehicle is a little stripped-down as gear has broken off, been removed, modified. For additional personnel could easily fit 1 in the rear passage beside the motor and under the hatch, another sitting against the rear bulkhead, 2 more sitting right behind the driver/assistant driver, maybe another each on the side benches.

Meh. I've been driving literally piles of Military Police relief of guards on the back of a Nissan Ml-6. It is doable but not advisable, etc, etc...

We are just moving up a couple of blocks, anyways. Again, Taras has addressed this on game calling an extra humvee.

The infamous "Duck" or "V"...That was the hell of a funny ride in Chiliwack!

True.  I could see the beginnings of something for Droz and Abbot.   He doesn't know Kel's back story, but that's ok as she is part of his CoC.

Also, I was disappointed to read that Kel doesn't have the French-Canadian accent when she speaks. Imagine if she had when she said, "Who's in charge of this gong show!?!?"

To be clear, the "Safari's End" thread was for April Fool's Day. Although I will be opening a new thread to deal with the aftermath of the firefight, it will be a different thread. If you all want to post something for the sake of RP, then I appreciate it, but don't worry, that's not a serious thread.

Why not make a post about Mac getting swarmed and eaten by zombies? In fact, why doesn't everyone consider this? It would be a cool ending for a non-canon storyline.
