Malkus shrugs noncommittally.

"It's just a rope, for me. Not like I'm going to kill someone over it. Maybe just break a couple fingers...," he mutters under his breath.

The illusion looked at Enialis for a moment then dissipated. Out from behind a tree, which Xannan had circled around earlier, a little blue lizard like form with wings crawled towards Enialis. It looks up for a moment then slowly pulls out the stuff it stole and sets them on the ground before him. [Language unknown: "Ngreen arilei ardst n ieort ououad om atunre us us?"]

The miniature dragon looking creature took the scroll happily and rolled itself around the scroll as it laid on the ground. After it cradled the scroll it looked to Chloe.

As Enialis' suggestion of a dance, Xannan begins to play a merry tune on his flute.

Re: [Event] Second Keenbellow Exploratory Expedition

Chloe who sat down patiently during the exchange between Enialis and the trickster gets up and stares at the culprit for a moment. "I did not know you were so small", she remarks with genuine surprise and gets up. Taking a step back so as to not squash the creature by accident, Chloe bows courtly.

08:30, Today: Chloe Nellington rolled 4 using 1d20+3. Performance: Dance!

A crit fail, of course.

Chloe usually dances (if ever) with someone instead of for them. The former is just two people making fools of themselves in front of each other and having a good time because it doesn't really matter. The letter is all about being good at it and that is evidently not the case.

After confidently promising so much, having an actual audience is intimidating. Long story short, after two seconds of awkwardly fumbling around Chloe finds herself with the face in the snow having slipped on some hidden ice. Now utterly embarrassed, she doesn't know whether to continue.

Re: [Event] Second Keenbellow Exploratory Expedition

As Chloe dances the little dragon tilts its head slightly. When she lands in the snow it straightens up slightly in surprise, then turns to Enialis. [Language unknown: "T ofle lllama eenmenlin setsi la at houardera onnepl p und manratenc? Then it begins to twirl its body and twist and leap in a graceful dance of its own. By the end of it the little dragon finished by gliding to the ground and bowing its head towards Chloe.

Enialis winces at Chloe's quickly ended dance routine and turns toward the dragon,"[Language unknown: Illi, oveeveres alck it wh fi urenweec nd trplad wa al tihe derera'sonstrthu reandeandderain. Utne ur setsonnot, me e consanoun readfiroul.]" he says and turns to the embarrassed Chloe,"If it makes you feel any better, this creature wishes to help you dance more gracefully in the snow. If we're ever going with a dance competition plan maybe you could take this advice to heart, by the way Miss Keenbellow," he says to their cartographer,"you wouldn't happen to know what this miniature dragon is, I hope it's not some sort of fiend."

Re: [Event] Second Keenbellow Exploratory Expedition

Not fair! The mini-dragon didn't roll for performance! :D

"Very well, let's try again!" Chloe gets up, takes a deep breath and attempts to imitate the twirling dance of the little creature. After making sure to find a spot with more friction.

10:11, Today: Chloe Nellington rolled 15 using 1d20+3. Performance: Dance again!

The dance is short but much better than before. Chloe imitates the "gliding to the ground" at the end by stretching her arms and fluently kneeling down. "Fiend?", she asks with a wry smirk. "Even so, it would be a fiend to my liking."

Re: [Event] Second Keenbellow Exploratory Expedition

"By point of fact I do" Galenna spoke up as she had just been watching up until now except for when her map was returned to her. "This beautiful little creature is called a Faerie Dragon. It can be quite rare to see one. This part of the Rimewood must be a part of its territory. Like most fae they can be notorious tricksters, but they do like treasure. That scroll of yours worked nicely. Perhaps, as long as we don't attack it, it'll give us safe passage through its territory." The entire time Galenna spoke she never took her eyes from the dragon even for a moment. She just stared with a small smile.

The dragon nodded its head while it spoke,[Language unknown: "Itheennteted."] The dragon then approached Galenna as she laid the map out on the ground and gave the little dragon a quill to write with. The little dragon went to work and mapped out a path that led back to Smith's Gambit. Then it laid down the quill next to the map and went back to its scroll. Re: [Event] Second Keenbellow Exploratory Expedition

As the group followed the little dragon they didn't encounter any hostile beasts or plants. They did, however, notice that there was more greenery even if it was covered in snow as well. The group soon sees a familiar sight through the trees, although it looks bigger, Smith's Gambit is off in the distance. The little dragon comes to a stop and hovers in one spot while turning to look at Enialis. [Language unknown: "Moha m ev intle i Pl u. Wisa whst re diai pr mi k u hatha."]

Malkus gives a nod of appreciation in the direction the faerie dragon headed, and looks towards the settlement in the distance.
"Nice little fellow. Glad we don't have to deal with another of those vines."
Hoping Enialis isn't tempting fate, Malkus heads back with the others.

Re: [Event] Second Keenbellow Exploratory Expedition

The trip back to the settlement from here was a short one. The group's final task was to seek out Smith and so they did. Once he sees the group he greets them all with a loud and clear, "Welcome back!" Galenna then shows him the map. "You all found quite a bit while you were gone, I see." He spoke as he finished looking at the map. "I hope things weren't too hard out there. Here's your reward as promised."
To everyone who is still here please add 150gp to your sheets and 500xp as well. Also for dealing with the Faerie Dragon add 150xp too. Totaling out to 650xp. And 5 units of downtime. Well done!
