Protect the Watchtower Builders

Adam nodded, "All good, I plan on having a tower to contain books before long but I'll have a tent on the high side of town until then to keep them safe and out of the weather." He smiled wide, "Give me enough time and I will have a turtle tower so I can make arcane house calls." The idea amused him to no end.

"Until then, onwards and upwards."

Adam Tachles:
"I am Adam, the Ink Drinker. Once we are done here we will be heading back to the town. So long as you are not into cooking peoples I think you would fit in just fine."

"Not cook people, cook for people. Only bad things cook people." Says Littlejohn with a look of confusion.

Azucondie:
Jenouise walked over to the very large horned man. "You're a horny fellow ain't ya? I like horny men." Of course she giggled at her own joke.

"Hi pretty lady." Says Littlejohn as her joke sails over his head.

Sai Nightbreeze:
"Well met," Sai intones, smiling at Azu's joke.  Probably it was a joke.  "I am Sai, and this is Screech.  And had our bit of magic not worked, your friends there—" he nods toward the orc's various weapons, "would have seen more use.  As Adam says, we will return to Smith's Gambit shortly.  In the mean time, if you'd like to join us in guard duty, we can accompany you back

"Me can help guard, know how to do that. Then we all go Smith's Gambit?" Says Littlejohn nodding in agreement with a big grin.

Do you all attempt to climb back up the steep side of the hill, or walk around? Climbing would be a DC 10 climb check, since you aren't being threatened.

Littlejohn follows Adam around the hill, looking around interestedly with a smile on his face.
Looking down at Azu he gives her a grin and starts to sing. [Language unknown: "Fi iote erass der nc eianncfo, le meore thain taone ul thaoerectany..."]

Azu stopped and turned to Littlejohn. ”If you go out in the woods today, better go in disguise. If you go out in the woods today, you’re sure to get a surprise, cause every bear that ever there was is gathing there simply because today is the day the Teddybears have their picnic.” Then she turned and followed Adam again.

By the time you get back to the build site at the top of the hill, the watchtower is finished. The foreman notices Littlejohn and says, "Alright youse guys, time to head back to town. Wait a minnit... wasn't there four of youse before? Fuggedaboudit. Nunna my business."

Adam tilted his head side to side, "You win some, you lose some. In the end so long as the lion share gets home all the better. Did you all find anything interesting as you went digging for the foundation? Never know when you may hit paydirt."

A builder grinned at Azu and began to say something, but the foreman elbowed him in the ribs and rolled his eyes before answering Adam. "Thank the gods, no. Treasure troves make the worst foundations, and this is a very good place for a watchtower. Treasure ain't worth nothing if the goblins take us by surprise!"

Skyeye stays behind, opting to finish her lean-to and sleep on the hill. As the rest of you begin to head back toward the town you can clearly see the path the necromancer and her allies took. It runs parallel to the path you took to get to the hill. Would you like to follow it and see if you can track the creature they fled from? It could be a danger to travelers, after all.

Adam looked up from his book. "On one hand it is nice to rid the world of monsters so others can be safe. After all, watchmen will have to travel this way to get to the watchtower. On the other hand we are not actively being paid for it but can likely get a hunters fee, but no promise of payment just yet."

Littlejohn enjoyed listening to Azu even though he didn't understand much of what she said. But he never worried about that. He knew that words were tricky things that told other people secrets he didn't get. And someone always told him what he needed to know.

You find it easy to follow the trail in the snow left by the trio. It runs parallel to the path you took to get where you are, in fact, it is so close to that path that you might well catch the attention of whatever's out there even if you didn't follow the trail. The builder foreman says, "we'll keep our distance, so youse guys can maybe sneak up on whatever it is, and badda-bing, badda-boom, we're at Darla's before dinner. "
