Photon got away.   Amok is unable to move.  Primus is on their way.

Professor Rodor looks shaken up.  April has 4 dozen donuts.  Robert Boone looks scared still.   Charge heads off with Abigail (until she posts again) and Redacted can assist with containing Amok.

Once Amok is contained and again in the custody of Primus, the woman on the purple and black motorcycle with a matching racing suit and helmet speaks with the remaining members of the Watch.

“People, I have repeatedly attempted to set up a meeting with all of you because I need your help and I think you might be interested in what information I have to offer.” she says in an exasperated voice. “I have given Flicker the location for our meeting, and he should have also given you each a business card. Please feel free to call if you need directions to the meeting, and I'll see you there in about 45 minutes.”

While mounting her motorcycle she quickly adds, “Also food and drinks will be provided but those who have unusual dietary needs or wants are encouraged to bring their own. And to be clear, this is a private meeting no media or other outsiders are welcome.” With that said she guns the engine of her bike and speeds off.

OOC: Note that the colors on the business card for Nightshade Investigations also match the motorcycle and riding gear Tarina wears.

Sharpshooter calls a cab for Boone and any of the other people without an intact vehicle. He puts it on the government's tab (the Platinum Mastercard possessed by many old-school government operatives). He looks over the card, noting the design scheme. He tells PRIMUS that he'll try to dig up background on this Photon character. Then he heads for this impromptu meeting, grapple lines extended.

Flicker rushes from one civilian to the next, asking if they're alright. He spends an extra few moments at the elderly man caught up in the altercation, and helps the gentleman on his way. Even so, he isn't late for the meeting.

Without warning,  a new speedster races to the scene and takes off 3 of the 4 dozen donuts April is carrying and scarfs them down.

He is wearing a mask to hide his features,  but still looks like he’s only 15, maybe 14.  He has a red shirt with a purple blotch in the corner, The letter "R" is drawn on with a magic marker, signifying it was shop lifted and customized without style .  He is wearing 2 different colors and styles of shoes,  both well worn.

Seeing April about to throw a fit, Ava looks over and cocks an eyebrow.

"It's not worth it, pick your battles, dear.  Can you grab the van?  I'm gonna need a ride..."

Turning to the kid:

"Lemme guess, you just started and got your powers from a mutant Belly Buster 2000?"  She asks, smiling.

"What's your name?"

Flicker stares, open-mouthed, at the brash youngster. Then he disappears and re-appears in front of the kid, already shaking his finger at the lad. "Did you even ask? How do you know those weren't poison jelly donuts sent by the Evil Baker to finish off his greatest rivals? I know what it's like to be faster than the world you live in, and I'll tell you now it'll make you crazy if you don't learn patience!"

In reply to Flicker (msg # 7):

"Good, you're still here, that'll save me the trouble..."

Ava points a thumb at Flicker while talking to the kid.

"You could learn a lot from him, especially if you are just adjusting to your powers.  Plus he could give you a place to live at his Stately Manor."

Turning to both of them and making the sign of the cross:

"By the power invested in me by the City of San Angelo, I now pronounce you Hero and Sidekick."

"You may now slide down your respective poles..."

Turning to April:

"Let's go before he changes his mind..."

Gathering April up on her board, she leaves for the van.

"See you at the meet!"

  wait! Wait ! Wait!  I am Reflex and a brand new villain.

He races in front of Sharpshooter.    And you are my ticket out of my crappy life.  I take you out and I'm good with that Photon dude.   Meet me alone at high noon, at the ballpark in Memorial Park!"

Before even Flicker can utter another word,  he raced off.

A sonic boom can be heard about a mile away. (Plenty of time for your meeting)

April sighed.  Great,  now I have to go back for more donuts.

In the corner of Ava's eye she sees a woman she has wronged in the other dimension.   Emily Warden.  But she goes around the corner before she can yell out.

Ava holds up a hand.

"Hold that thought..."  She says distractedly.

Ava then surfs over to the corner and looks down the alley...

Ultimately the directions guide the participants to a motel meeting room. Eight comfortable chairs (with space to accommodate four more) are arranged around a sturdy oval metal and plastic table. Near the center of the table are a stack of blank letter sized notepads next to a box of basic black ballpoint pens.

On a banquet table behind the main table are: two large platters containing a variety of deli style sandwiches, a vegetable platter, a self serve coffee station with both regular and decaffeinated pots, a medium-sized ice chest with a variety of chilled soft drinks and juices, and finally paper plates and napkins with plastic utensils and cups.

As people enter Tarina sits in a stand-alone chair just in front of the main table still in her riding apparel and helmet. “Please come in and take a seat at the table. I have provided paper and pens for those who wish to take notes. As I promised there are food and drinks, please help yourselves.” After allowing a few more minutes for everyone to arrive she asks, “Excuse me for just a moment.” Getting up swiftly she closes and locks the twin doors to the meeting room. Quickly rejoining everyone else she explains, “I don't want any uninvited guests and I want as much privacy as possible. I think we can all agree on that.”
