He smirked slightly at seeing Alban again. What was that? Three times in as many days? He refrained from the old and tired "We've got to stop meeting like this. People will talk." trope.

He gave a nod when everyone looked ready or had said they were. "Right then. Keep senses alert, never know what we'll run in to. Wightvane an' I've been attacked by large beasts in the Rimewood several times for no apparent reason."

He then turned and headed off towards the center of the Rimewood.

Malkus falls in step behind Izayah, matching his stride. He unsheaths his greatsword as a measure of caution against aggressive, large beasts, but otherwise remains lighthearted.

I can provide assistance with Survival as needed.

Hexia waved as they headed off out of the village and into the wilds of the Rimewood. The group got to enjoy a tune by Elisar as they trekked through. This deep into the Rimewood the trees had begun thicker and more dense with snow. As they moved the sun slowly moved with them. Then suddenly you start to see the ground ahead move and before you can react feel a blast of snow come from behind and ahead of you. At the source of the snow is one large white wolf at the front and behind the group.

Enialis manages to take minimal damage thanks to being in the middle of the group. But one more hit like that, and he would be knocked out,"Darn, why do we keep on getting ambush every time." he says and waves his hands, as he does so 4 glowing darts appear and starts peppering one of the large wolves.

Izayah let out a grunt as a wave of cold washed over him. He hadn't been expecting that but he weathered as best he could.

He looked at the "wolf", started a bit at the sudden appearance, and then called back over his shoulder. "Hey, Elisar. I hope ya'll won't take this s'a judgement an' all but I'm startin' t'think'at wolves REALLY don't like yer singing'. Or maybe y'shouldn't do it in the Rimewood."

Having been close-up surprise-ambushed multiple times now, he was traveling with a shortsword in hand rather than his bow - he knew it might come back to bite him in the butt sometime, but today was not that day. He quickly drew his other shortsword and attacked with each of them one after the other and stabbing with the first one a second time.

Seeing the mounds of snow travelling towards the group Alban braces himself for what he knows is coming. "Ugh! This can't be good." As the spray of cold washes over him Alban tries to dodge out of the way, but he knows he isn't successful.  He can feel the air in his lungs begin to freeze his body from the inside out.

Gathering all of his focus and magical energy around him Alban visualizes the effect of his spell as it takes shape; a mass of webbing strands between several trees.

Ouch!! Assuming the E1 wolves are still in an enclosed area Alban will try casting a web spell at G3,G4,H3,H4 between the trees(G2,G5,I3) to create a battlefield control obstacle and ensnare as many wolves of that group as he can since he's so low on initiative.

20:10, Today: Alban rolled 5 using 1d20+1 with rolls of 4.  initiative roll.
20:10, Today: Alban rolled 3 using 1d20+1 with rolls of 2.  Dex Save DC 12.

Was my familiar already summoned and patrolling before attack or would Alban need to summon it at this point?

If Alban has any movement left he will try using his broom of flying to move straight up 30ft off the ground out of reach of the wolf’s breath weapon

Staring off into the distance, Malkus is caught off-guard by the blast of frozen air. His metal armor does nothing to insulate him from its ferocity.

Reeling from the assault, he clenches his left fist within his gauntlet as a prayer leaves his lips, and the symbol on the back of his hand begins to shimmer. He raises his fist above his head, and the shimmering extends downward, wrapping around him as a faintly glowing suit of fluted plate armor.

At the same time, he appears to grow large and imposing, with a effect resembling a cinematic dolly zoom. He fixes both wolves in his steely gaze and chastises them in a booming voice.

"Bad dogs!"

22:22, Today: Malkus rolled 10 using 1d20 ((10)). Dex save

Elisar felt the cold wind behind him and just managed to duck and avoid the worst of the icy blast, though it chilled him to the bone. As he moved he stumbled, but managed to retain his footing. He turned quickly, continuing to step away from the threat, then saw them. Wolves! Not more of these hairy buggers! He ignored Izayah’s jibe for now, he had more important things to worry about.

As he reached for his blade he whispered a subtle verse and gestured towards the wolves. “Codladh, deis chun brionglóid a dhéanamh faoin saol go síoraí.”

As he waited for his spell to take effect he warned the others. “Tis a sleep spell. When they fall do not touch lest you wake them in an instant.”

07:59, Today: Elisar Moonraven rolled 16 using 5d8.  Sleep spell.
07:45, Today: Elisar Moonraven rolled 3 using 1d20+2.  Initiative. A crap roll, but means that I should act last which might be a benefit for my spell choice!
07:44, Today: Elisar Moonraven rolled 18 using 1d20+4.  Dex check, DC12.

Edit - just noticed that there are TWO wolves! My focus was on E1 originally so I will stick to that.

21:47, Today: Wightvane rolled 11 using 1d20+3.  Initiative.

Wightvane's blood burned hot as the cold attack hit him, giving him some resistance to its effect. Nonetheless, his protective spell burned away in the blast and his scales felt the stab of the cold air. (Dex 18, 9 damage eats my 6 THP and I take the extra 3)
21:36, Today: Wightvane rolled 18 using 1d20+3.  Dex Save.

He reached out with his will, toward the nearest of the wolves, placing a curse upon the beast. He struck out with his spear, letting the storm magic flow through the weapon as he did so. He had never fought a beast who could breath the elements as well as he could, and that made him hesitate to employ the hit and run tactics he had used in the duel before. Better to size up the opponent first.

Bonus: Hexblade's Curse
Action: cast Booming Blade on E1 (if it's asleep, do E2 instead)
Result: Hit AC 22 for 9 Piercing damage, it takes another 8 Thunder if it willingly moves

17:46, Today: Wightvane rolled 22,9,8 using d20+5,d8+5,d8+2.  Booming Blade, 2H, Cursed.

Having felt the cold, Izayah Hamadrell moves to stab the wolf in front of him. Using both short swords he slashes at it three times. The first two send blood flying in each direction, but the last one misses entirely.
Izayah Hamadrell deals a total of 10 damage to Enemy 2.

Malkus starts to gow and shouts, "Bad dogs!" at the wolves.
Both wolves made the save.

Wightvane strikes with his spear at Enemy 1. The wolf growls as the spear is jabbed into its side sending more blood flying onto the once white snow.
Wightvane deals 9 damage to Enemy 1.

Enemy 2 bites at Izayah Hamadrell. It sinks its teeth into the ranger's side injuring him badly.
Enemy 2 deals 18 damage to Izayah Hamadrell.

Enialis Siannodel waves his hands shooting out 4 glowing darts at Enemy 2.
Enialis Siannodel deals 16 damage to Enemy 2.

Alban creates a 20ft cube of web surrounding Enemy 1.
21:18, Today: The Narrator, on behalf of Alban, rolled 9 using 1d10. And yes I would say you have your familiar summoned at this time, though they still wouldn't have been able to spot the wolves ahead of time.
Alban successfully uses his new broom to fly 30ft off the ground.

Elisar Moonraven casts a sleep spell, but it takes no effect.

Enemy 1 manages to evade the web set by Alban, but not the thunder dealt by Wightvane. Enemy 1 provokes an attack of opportunity by Wightvane. Enemy 1 then goes to bite at Wightvane. It misses catching nothing, but air in between its jaws as it snaps shut.

Izayah let out a surprised yell of pain as the damned wolf nearly bit him in half! "GODS!" He almost fell to his knees, but somehow managed to hold on to his stance, his shortswords and his consciousness - tenuous though that grasp was!

He stabbed out with the twin shortswords, hoping to do enough damage to drop the not-wolf, or at least make it so his companions could do so. He staggered, still barely on his feet and keeping his balance after the thrusts, one missing completely.

OOC: Miss (AC 10) and Hit AC 14 for 6 possible piercing damage.

Elisar stood agog as the wolf shrugged off his magicks. Had he said it wrong? Surely these beasts weren’t immune to his spells? Unless... maybe they weren’t natural at all! The internal debate would have to wait for now.

He stepped neatly beside a tree, and decided to try another spell, a new one he had been practicing. Hopefully this would do the trick. He gestured forward and sang a delicate tune in a strange tongue, “Tine na sióg, las mo namhaid, cuir air ag taitneamh.”

As he finished a delicate dusting of violet lights sprinkled the area where the wolf stood. Hopefully some would settle on the beast and make it stand out for all to see.

Izayah Hamadrell yells, "GODS!" as the wolf bites him and even though it pained him he didn't hesitate to strike back at the beast. He moved swiftly to STRIKE!
Izayah Hamadrell moves to N-5 and deals 6 damage to Enemy 2.

Malkus quickly followed Izayah Hamadrell's lead and got into a flanking position on the other side of the wolf. He struck it cuting downward in a savage arc at the wolf's haunch. The wolf yelps for only a second then growls.
Malkus deals 19 total damage to Enemy 2.

Wightvane struck forward with his spear at the wolf before him. With a mighty blow it hit slashing yet more blood onto the ground around the wolf. This time it was the wolfs side. What would it be next?
Wightvane deals 12 damage to Enemy 1.

Enemy 2 growls and barks ferociously at the two men around him. Then he stops for only a moment. You see his chest swell up then it hits releasing another blast of snow, this time only aimed at Malkus.
Enemy 2 uses cold breath. Malkus must make a Dex Save (DC 12) or take 18 damage. Half that on a success.

Enialis Siannodel moves without hesitation to a spot out of the way of the wolves. Then he releases more missiles aimed at Enemy 2. It yelps and is starting to look rough.
Enialis Siannodel deals 12 damage to Enemy 2.

Alban casts Cloud of Daggers where Enemy 1 is and sends his familiar to lend aid to his comrade, Wightvane.
Wightvane now gets advantage on his attack rolls against Enemy 1. I believe you meant E1 because of where Wightvane was attacking.

Elisar Moonraven spoke his words then a light started to shine around Enemy 2.
All attacks made against Enemy 2 now have advantage as long as the attack can see the wolf.

Enemy 1 yelps in response to getting smacked with the daggers. It moves swiftly triggering thunder to strike it. It bites at Wightvane. It chomps hard puncturing through the scales. It holds hard as flames start to burst around it and engulf it. It releases its grip in response, but doesn't back away.
At the beginning of Enemy 1's turn he takes 13 damage from Cloud of Daggers. It takes another 6 thunder damage from booming blade. Enemy 1 deals 18 damage to Wightvane. Wightvane casts Hellish Rebuke in response to the attack dealing 5 fire damage to Enemy 1.

Izayah Hamadrell didn't waste any time and moved to the next wolf quickly. He stuck with another brilliant blow, but this time only slashing at the other beast's side leaving a sizable gash where it had been struck.

Malkus makes his first death save.

Elisar cheered as both wolves collapsed, apparently dead. As he turned his head his joy was short lived, for he saw Malkus crumpled on the ground. He ran over, checking whether the fellow was still alive. He was breathing, just. A good sign!

He knelt down next to him and prepared a spell. Placing his hand on the man’s forehead he sang a gentle, haunting tune. “Cneasaíonn pian, tochaíonn sicíní coilm, maireann an ghlóir go deo.” He felt the healing energies flow out of his hand and into the recumbent figure, hoping that it would do the trick.
