At first I thought you were going along with his comment about the magic swords, and I was trying to figure out how he rolled that high of a Deception check.

I liked the cartoon when I was a kid. Never saw the movies.

In reply to Wightvane (msg # 449):

My kids just discovered the new Scoob! movie. They love it and have started watching the cartoons too. We resisted when they were younger as I thought they might be a bit scary, but now they are old enough to enjoy.

Re: [OOC] Strange Magick

Alban, I am not trying to put you on the spot, you just have literally twice the INT I do. If you'd like to explain to Hexia about the fountain and the elemental plane of water, I'm happy to let you

If you'd rather not, I'm willing to handle it... Just keep your expectations at an appropriate level ;)

Thank you.  Sorry for the lack of posting lately.  Real life was very busy these past few weeks.  Alban should be all caught up now.

No apology needed.

I just figured this was a quest to investigate magic, and you're a wizard, so I didn't want to butt in on your opportunity for the lime light if you were interested

Re: [OOC] Strange Magick

Erret Smith:
Smith's Gambit Needs You!
Under a painting of Erret Smith pointing as if to the viewer of the notice, is printed:

Adventurers!

The Rimewood is teeming with unknown threats and valuable secrets! I will pay a minimum of 25g to each member of a party who brings new information brought in that helps ensure the safety and prosperity of the town!

I will also pay 200g for each 1-day section of map a party fills in, to be split among the party as you choose.

Once we finish with Hexia, I think we also checked some of these boxes too =)
*Presence of Ogres?
*Orcs as allies, along with some more Goblins, and possible location of another Red Foot staging ground?
*We traveled three days north in our journey, so perhaps we opened some map sections?

Re: [OOC] Strange Magick

So team, two obvious options for our next mission.

1 - go find the lost hunting party.

2 - explore the dwarven ruins deeper.

Any preferences? We don’t have to all stick together, and it might be fun to mix up with other groups. Thoughts?

Re: [OOC] Strange Magick

In reply to Elisar Moonraven (msg # 457):

I believe there is a group (Carmen, Victor, Chelsie, Wendel) already looking for the missing hunters.

Personally, I'm interested in heading back to the ruins, although it may lack the NPC-sponsorship of an official mission. I don't know whether the DMs want to take on this kind of sandbox environment or not.

Regardless of all that, I need to get back to the Gambit in order to start some plans in motion.

As far as mixing with other groups, that's fine by me. I mean, after my initial patrol, two members disappeared altogether, and the other two stopped posting after Strange Magic started. Where I am going with that is each mission I've had has been with different people, so shuffling the group members isn't unusual from my perspective.

Aside from Brohm, I am not sure if anyone else is LFG.

Re: [OOC] Strange Magick

In reply to Malkus (msg # 458):

Ah, I didn’t know that as the job is still listed as open.

I’ve done two missions so far, the first was with Wightvane and Izayah plus others who dropped out.

I’m happy with this group, four good players for me to interact with and a good balance of PCs. Curious to see where we go next. If the GMs are happy for us to explore the ruins further, even without a sponsor, then I’m up for it.

Re: [OOC] Strange Magick

In reply to Elisar Moonraven (msg # 459):

I agree; I feel we have a solid, fun, and diverse cast.

Also, while it isn't tactful to whisper out of earshot of friends, it's rude to discuss my business dealings with Alban in Hexia's shop too openly. On the off-chance I can avoid some back-and-forth portalling to utilize my credit, I find it prudent to hash out the details before we leave.

Re: [OOC] Strange Magick

We didn't have an personality conflicts in this group, so I'm happy to stick together, and unoffended by anyone who needs/wants to go.

I would also like to explore the ruins further. I need to head to town and then stop back by Hexia's shop again to pick up my spear after she's done with it anyway.

There are also the Swift Tusks and the White Worgs to mention, in case Erret is unaware of their existence or apparent alliance.

I'm happy to speak to it, although a certain Warlock played a pretty important role in obtaining that info.

Re: [OOC] Strange Magick

I haven't done the crafting and downtime stuff before. ARe we free to move on over to Smith now, or do we need to wrap some of that other stuff up first?

I'm in a bit of shit mood this evening, so I'm fine if someone else takes care of it. I wouldn't do it justice.
