Moyrah's Home
The stubborn insistence Gam had in making himself a nuisance the entire trip was of no concern to Mallory. If he wished to bludgeon his own feet just to prove a point, he'd surely accomplish little more than shortening Rhydd's patience and getting far rougher handling as a result. The question of diminished patience, however, was a lot more pressing when it came to Captain Skath.
"I'd certainly agree we'd be much better off retiring to the Inn, but local unrest demanded otherwise of us, Captain." she gestured to the bound drunkard. "Soon after our earlier parting, we discovered that this man and a gaggle of accomplices set fire to Miss Moyrah's home - a crime fomented in hate for her and her father, personally. We extinguished the fires, all while this idiot was screaming slurs and obscenities, attacking us with a knife, and claiming both you and the gods themselves encouraged his mayhem. He also confessed to burgling Miss Moyrah's home before setting it ablaze as well."
To that point, Mallory produced the knife she'd taken from Gam prior and offered it over hilt-first to Skath. Her other hand, meanwhile, gave a twirl of her fingers to conjure an illusory image of Gam's accomplices - Birger, Orm, and Njal - stood in her palm to show him. "These three accompanied him in the initial assault, but lost their nerve and abandoned him before the worst of it. There were many witnesses to the attack as well, so I'm certain you'll have no trouble finding support for our claims." the noblewoman gave Gam another disgusted glower. "This cretin is a menace; had the fires spread, he very well could have set half of Targos to flame just for the sake of his bigotry."
