Hmmmm... now that my brain will brain a little bit, which is as much as it will ever brain, perhaps a good old fashioned "I disbelieve!" tactic would work here?

Because the only other obvious route I see is if the defenders won the fight, but that doesn't seen practicable.

The only thing I can think of right now is that Harry wants to try and transmit the information he's gleaned (what little of it he's puzzled out) somehow so that he can remember it or have someone relay it back. Is that something I'd be able to do while dreaming? Use Harry's datalink to somehow write a "message in a bottle" to himself or broadcast something to The Driver?

Kelly! - I will give you options based on those thoughts!

Option 1 - HARD NO - Straight up nope, not playin'.  Spirit -2 is your roll.  Oddly easier to not participate than joining in a seemingly hopeless cause.

Option 2 - BIG DAMN HERO - You are a heroic Templar.  Real or not, you fight the fight!  Roll at -4 but you get a chip for your Heroics.

Harry! - I dig it!  You get a chip for noting that cyborgs don't have to play by the same rules!  Hell with this syker crap!

Option 1 - Have the AI record for playback.  It's all in your brain anyhow.

Option 2 - Link to the Driver and try to tell him!

Option 3 - The Dog is rigged with this nifty Spirit Radio and Harry is linked to the Dog...

Smarts roll to do any of these things as your action, still at -4 for having to still deal with all the distractions of IMPENDING DOOM!

Well, per the setting rules I started with, I do not have the Crit Fail can't be rerolled rule.

If you /want/ to take it though, I'll run with it =). Otherwise, feel free to spend a chip and try again!

Harry!  My Ruling!  The data link gives a +2 to access other computer systems and computerized vehicle systems.

If you wanted to access the vehicle's Spirit Radio and contact Fletcher OR maybe save a weird short message in the contacts list in the Infotainment system OR something else reasonably using the vehicle systems...

I just can't bring myself to enforce that using the data link can +2 you to work with the truck but not with your own head.

In the episode, The Doctor discovers that he's not real...he's actually part of a simulation created by the aliens of the week, who are running a simulation of the whole of earth history to figure out how best to conquer the REAL planet. Sim!Doctor, however, works out that because he's part of the simulation, he can hack the system and send the real version of himself a warning, which is what that clip shows.

I didn't recall the Dr. Who one...but I was reminded of an episode of ST:NG where they were caught in a timeloop and Data pulled a similar trick.

With getting people moved around, travel down the road, etc I'm not entirely sure.

Thought it best to offer a bit of OOC explanation for what you guys could piece together.

Basically, I broke the ride down into two halves.  The half where Harry was driving and Fletcher would be resting/sleeping.  And then the half where Fletcher would be driving and Harry would be "sleeping".  Also, during the Harry's half, Crowboy and Mateo got the "rest" shift in the camper while Prudence and Dean were on Watch.

When the drivers change over, Dean and Prudence got the camper for rest and that puts Crowboy and Mateo on watch for the second half.

I drew cards for Kelly and Syb to see what half their sleep overlapped.

Thus:

Harry's Drive Shift:
-Crowboy, Mateo, and Fletcher got some shut eye.

Fletcher's Drive Shift:
-Harry, Kelly, Syb, Prudence, and Dean tried to get some shuteye but were interrupted....

That feels like easily deducible information.

I think we figured out that it had something to do with the number of us that had Arcane Backgrounds that were asleep at the time, & we were just waiting to see how Fletcher's power affected Dean, as well as if Kelly has gotten any help from the other drivers.
