Day 4: Prophecies

Akyra, with Khorth's help, made a makeshift stretcher for the body of Sakamoto, ignoring the two yuan-ti and their business. She placed her pack on the end of teh stretcher, and grabbed one side, waiting for Khorth to do the other. She looked at Airadne. "Keep an eye out. We will need warning of anything coming."

Looking over her shoulder, she called to the two Yuan-ti. "We go for town now. If you would meet us tonight, I will repay you with that meal..." She looked at Khorth who had devoured the wizard. "....not that Khorth needs a meal ow."

She then set off for town.

<OOC: Plan is to goto town and the nearest cleric to rez Sakamoto (Which i assume will take a day or two), sell the gear we don't need, identify the items we do.

In place for any gold, i suggest we offer the yuan-ti magical items so we can rez sakamoto - Perhaps the staff of defense for Chlora and either the necklace of fireballs or one of the possible rings (even the dragonsword) for Zhalis

We do not sell magic items yet.  Identify the new ones, rest, get Sakamoto and share the magic items and move on>

Day 4: Prophecies

"I don't believe there is anything inside we need to go looking for, is there sister? If not, why don't we just walk with them back to town?" Zhalis asked Lady Chlora before preparing to follow the group. "It's been a few hours since we've eaten and I would like to take them up on their offer for a meal." Zhalis took another step toward her sister and whispered in her ear. Day 4: Prophecies

With their loot in hand, and Sakamoto's body prepared for transport, the group made their way back into town. The journey from the secret entrance wasn't terribly far, maybe 150 yards or so, before they came in through the eastern edge of town, near the inn where Gundren and Don-Jon had taken up residence.

Those who wished to go to the inn were already there. Those who wished to seek aid for Sakamoto could go to the center of town, north of the square, to the Shrine of Luck, in hope that the priestess had returned from her journey east.

Day 4: Prophecies

After making absolutely sure no one would ever resurrect the annoying necromancer, a bloated Khorth helped to bring Sakamoto in town. During the trip, he thought about the Mother and how she had graced him in his life. He felt more confident in his abilities now, his goddess having graced him with more knowledge as he was devouring the glowing liver of their enemy. He washed the blood in pools of water left by the storm and during the trip, he asked one of the new women.

What are you dooooing in the sooooftskin lands, scaled oooones?

In town, he followed Akyra's lead and went strait for the temple.

Day 4: Prophecies

The walk back to town was a short one, but Zhalis seemed lost in thought for most of it. Her eyes wandered, in search of the best pool to leave the finger in for her patron. Khorth stopped at one to clean the blood from his scales, but Zhalis thought that pool tainted the essence of Leviathan and kept searching for another. A short while later, she found one she deemed adequate for her purposes and broke off from the group to complete her task. First, she pulled the wrapped finger from within her pack and unraveled the dressings she had placed around it to keep any blood from soaking into the rest of her things. She dropped the cloth on the ground next to the pool, finding it beneath her to keep it now, and walked into the center of the pool to drop the finger into the deepest point.

Zhalis hurried back to the group and whispered to Lady Chlora, [Language unknown: "T lente i foanreas. O artiur io ivestaome saplwa me mo iveicaandwasica a trou ateeveman. Thu wawhe nd onsol il en ek onnipa."]

Khorth addressed the sisters and Lady Chlora did not hesitate to answer. Zhalis had the notion he expected a response from both the yuan-ti, replied with, "I travel with Lady Chlora most of the places she ventures, whether I have a reason to go there or not. Her skin is softer than mine and it is my duty to keep it in one piece."

Upon arriving in town, part of the group made for the temple, whereas Zhalis followed Lady Chlora to the inn. After they paid and received their rooms, she went up to change into dry clothes. After she freshened up, Zhalis made sure to do a little maintenance to her armor and other weapons before she joined her sister to thoroughly inspect the necromancer's bag.

Day 4: Prophecies

At The Stonehill Inn: Brillik, Lady Chlora, Zhalis

Lady Chlora and her clutch-sister Zhalis secure rooms for themselves. Gundren Rockseeker, the dwarven man behind the majority of our heroes being present here in the first place, speaks to the proprietor, Toblen Stonehill, on your behalf and adds payment of the rooms to his own tab. Gundren raised his eyebrows in anticipation as he asked, "I take it the Thayan necromancer is dead, then? Did you happen to run into the others I told you about?" Don-Jon Raskin listened with interest from a nearby table, nursing an ale and picking roasted meat from the carcass of some type of bird. Next to him sat a dwarf is spiked metal armor.

Day 4: Prophecies

(At The Stonehill Inn)

The Grey skinned dwarf had just upturned a tankard of frothing drink into his mouth and continued gulping loudly as Gundren spoke and Don-Jon ate his fowl.  Yet before anyone could answer he slammed the emptied mug down on the table hard enough to rattle the few bits of eating utensils.  He looked at Gundren and the person he spoke to with a grimace.  And within seconds Brillik’s cheeks ballooned to a cartoonish size and it appeared he was about to vomit the entire tankard of ale back onto the table.  But when he opened his mouth the only thing that escaped was a loud 4-5 second belch.  He then quickly wiped his mouth with the back of his forearm and waited for the next round, or his meal he wasn’t sure which.

To onlookers Brillik looked impoverished, dirty, and smelled like street grime, or end-trails depending on how recently he had been looking for trouble.  His muscular chest and upper torso could be seen under the darkened leather straps that held what looked like a handful of grey wrought-iron patches strategically placed over his body.  Some of them brandished spikes, others were flat, but looked modular almost as though there were pieces missing.  As always his mohawk stood straight up and his braids fell across his chiseled and sinewed back and chest.  Anyone looking for weapons didn’t see any laying near his person.

After setting his tankard down he looked on as Gundren awaited a response.

Day 4: Prophecies

At The Stonehill Inn: Brillik, Lady Chlora, Zhalis

Gundren seemed happy from the news of everything going well, even if he was a bit surprised at the mention of Khorth's belly full of necromancer, "I'm happy to hear those murderers have been dealt with. I know Akyra and Pavel will both be especially proud to have avenged the elven father. We'll have to see about getting word sent to Bharkel, that she and the elven family can return to their home here. BonThot had been working on means for magical communication; perhaps he's worked something out that will let him reach her without making the multiple-days-long trip."

He had cast a few glances about while speak, "Were the others headed back here, or did they still have more to finish up at the manor? I'd like to introduce them to another of my close associates, Brillik there." He pointed to the uncultured dwarf in the spiked armor sitting near Don-Jon. "If you two need to rest up after the encounter, then of course you're welcome to retire to your rooms if you'd like. I can see you were certainly caught out in the storm."

Day 4: Prophecies

Gundren inquired about the people the sisters had joined in coming back to town. "The rest went to the temple. The one they call Tiny Dancer perished in the fight and they are looking into bringing him back. Yes, I would very much like to rest a bit." Zhalis gave a slight not to Brillik, rather unimpressed with his table manners, and felt if she said something, she might be facing a tavern brawl.

Zhalis made her way up the stairs and whispered to her sister, [Language unknown: "Nc oer ssutse n ain ad tho headme atiderout. Ur, man san, fowh arlo i nceineome ca ho rom eiwh he se m Po derpa stlace m. Atioutnti ithus nithwa ni ll linhi."]

Day 4: Prophecies - Round 2

Gundren looked over at Don-Jon, a bit confused, "Tiny Dancer?"

Don-Jon shook his head and shrugged, then recognition crossed Gundren's face, "Sakamoto." Gundren stood and made for the door, "You two get some rest, then. I'll join the others at the shrine until it's done."

Don-Jon watched Gundren rush off, and nodded his greetings to the Zhalis and Chlora. He still wasn't sure what he thought of those two women himself, so if they wanted to head off to rest or wash, that was fine by him. He let them head off to their room before he turned to Brillik, "Once they've got Sakamoto taken care of, I'm sure they'll come back here for a bit of rest too. They fought a small army of mercenaries today, undead, ankhegs and manticores the day before that, and ruined castle full of goblinoids the day before that. If you're looking for a decent combat challenge, they'll be the ones to get you right into the thick of it."

Brillik reached over and picked a small strip of meat off Don Jon’s plate before addressing the human.

“By Bhall’s beard that is a relief,” he let out a long sigh before continuing.

“Though, I do vonder vhy Gundurn even bothered to contact me.  It is well known that I haff been dishonored and am a shame to my family and my tribe.  Tell me Don Jon, whose idea vas it to reach out to me?”  Brillik’s dwarven accent got thicker as he continued to drink the half-watered down ale provided by the establishment.  Luckily he was able to drink it before tasting the room-temperature ale.
