Day 4: Prophecies
The walk back to town was a short one, but Zhalis seemed lost in thought for most of it. Her eyes wandered, in search of the best pool to leave the finger in for her patron. Khorth stopped at one to clean the blood from his scales, but Zhalis thought that pool tainted the essence of Leviathan and kept searching for another. A short while later, she found one she deemed adequate for her purposes and broke off from the group to complete her task. First, she pulled the wrapped finger from within her pack and unraveled the dressings she had placed around it to keep any blood from soaking into the rest of her things. She dropped the cloth on the ground next to the pool, finding it beneath her to keep it now, and walked into the center of the pool to drop the finger into the deepest point.
Zhalis hurried back to the group and whispered to Lady Chlora, [Language unknown: "T lente i foanreas. O artiur io ivestaome saplwa me mo iveicaandwasica a trou ateeveman. Thu wawhe nd onsol il en ek onnipa."]
Khorth addressed the sisters and Lady Chlora did not hesitate to answer. Zhalis had the notion he expected a response from both the yuan-ti, replied with, "I travel with Lady Chlora most of the places she ventures, whether I have a reason to go there or not. Her skin is softer than mine and it is my duty to keep it in one piece."
Upon arriving in town, part of the group made for the temple, whereas Zhalis followed Lady Chlora to the inn. After they paid and received their rooms, she went up to change into dry clothes. After she freshened up, Zhalis made sure to do a little maintenance to her armor and other weapons before she joined her sister to thoroughly inspect the necromancer's bag.
