Elisar grabbed a potion of healing and stashed it in his pack. Hopefully he wouldn't need it later, but it was always handy to have.

"I have a plan," he announced to the assembled assortment of assaulters. "Whatever is in there knows we are out here, but we don't know what is in there. I'm going to try to find out. I'm going to scout ahead, on my own. I have some tricks that will keep me safe. Can I suggest you stay here for the moment. I will be back shortly, but if you hear me shouting, or if anything comes through those doors, please feel free to ignore everything I just said and start killing things!"

With that he looked around the mass of faces, gave a cheeky smile and a wink, then clicked his fingers. As the sound echoed across the hallway he disappeared from view, vanishing into thin air!

A few seconds later an empty potion vial appeared from nowhere and rolled across the floor, tinkling on the hard grey flagstones.

The darkness fades away and the man does not notice for a moment with his eyes closed. His face is a mixture of teeth clenching tension and possibly something more, but there is also a serene smile on his face. That is, until he opens his eyes and can see once more. He flinches slightly and his eyes narrow. He takes in a deep breath and restores calm to himself.

He hesitates but then walks slowly over to take one healing potion. He knows he has not fully recovered from his time elsewhere and thus might be easy to damage at the moment. He tucks it away for safekeeping.

He slowly walks behind the others as they begin to move towards the fort building itself. He is fine with waiting a bit longer. The next battle is likely to be fierce and brutal.

The warforged smith moved up to the others and looked down at the healing potions. Helping himself to a few he looked around the assembled strike force, seemingly counting out in his mind who might need the assist later on.

"I can draw some attention and hope my sturdy metal and shield might protect me, and I can offer healing to others."

Guyver took two potions, he had done his share to end the previous battle though he was not wounded.
"So the goblin is an ally of yours but the hobgoblins are not? Curious ..". He glanced at the big doors to the throne room.
"So your enemy is behind those doors and it's the only way out? Unless they have hostages might I suggest we get some haybales, stack them against the doors and set them on fire?", he offered.
"The smoke will fill the room, slowly suffocating the enemy unless they make a break for the burning doors and hay, leaving us the advantage".

The little green man wandered around with wide eyes and mouth agape staring at all the awesome people getting ready for the boss fight. Walter was entranced by the pirouetting ballerina and the woman with fiery hair and her pet.

Seeing that all the others were advancing, Golun went with them. It seemed all of the action was going to be ahead of them, they could worry about stragglers later.

Seeing the supplies brought by the odd-looking goblin he claimed a potion and stashed it in his bag. Once done he hefted his hammer and shield, preparing for battle and whispering a prayer to Selune.

Suddenly Elisar's voice rang out in the hallway around the group, though the strange fellow could not be seen. "My friends," rang the disembodied voice. "I can give you a brief idea of the scene before you. The room opens into a great hall. Straight in front are a horde of well armed hobs, maybe twenty by my reckoning though numbers was never my strength. They are tightly packed in three rows. To their sides are two large statues, and there is something behind each though I know not what. And on the left I think there is someone inside the statue. At the rear of the chamber is a throne. Largath sits there, alone save his mage. The wizard holds a large crystal, I think it may be like the teleporting crystal some of you own. He is chanting, and I suspect he is preparing to activate the device, though I know not if he means to escape or summon reinforcements, but either way we need to attack now!"

"Does anyone here have the means to disable a large group all at once? By the grace of Helm I have one shot to keep that mage busy, but otherwise my worth is here, at the gate.

If we open the doors and fall back a pace or two, we can create a situation whereby only a couple of them will be forced to reckon with the lot of us, reducing their worth while increasing ours."

"At best I have an acid spell that spits it in a line in front of me, but I have to be right up on them for it to be the most effective. But afterwards it will continue to burn and corrode them for a short time."

She took a look around at the assemblage of combatants. The hobgoblins were definitely going to be a problem with their training and numbers. "Hey, can the sapient ball of darkness rush in and cause discord?"

Izayah stopped moving towards the wall after Elisar spoke. He gave a thoughtful look but shrugged and stepped back. As talk continued, he frowned. "I don't got but one spell that can get hit multiple enemies, but it's a very small area."

He dug a potion out of his pack and held it. "Welp. I got this. It'll make it harder for 'em t'put me down. I guess this counts as a special occasion t'be...invulnerable."

"If only Wendel were here. He had the ability to cast spike growth, which would have been devastating in this context." said Carmen. "My only area effect ability is my darkness, which will surely hinders as much as benefit us."

She does react to the announcement of what is going on by heading to the double doors herself so that she can get this fight kicked off.

The man most certainly does not want to be up in the front or too near the doors. He is not a warrior like some of the others. He is not used to fighting in close quarters. And the foe they are facing is very good at hurting and killing, from what he has seen.

He stayed near the back a bit, readying himself to provide the ranged support that he can. He has only recently arrived in the rimewood and is not as well-trained, or ready for war, as some of the others seem to be.

He stays silent and holds his quarterstaff.

Nuts gestured towards Izayah and nodded. "one spell that can get hit multiple enemies," came the same voice.

When it was time to line up for the door, however, the ranger was more towards the rear and checking his bowstring. No need to chance another round of halberd-kenku-golf.

OOC: Also have Hail of Thorns.
Definitely standing far back, but enough to see through the doors once opened.

Alright everybody, lets get this show on the road! Initiative, and first actions, if you please? And don't worry about the door, initiative won't start until after its open (note, readied actions can only be used during combat, if you declare the action before initiative, it takes place on your initiative. You wouldn't want all 18 hobgoblins throwing readied javelins at the first person they see, before anyone could react, now would you!) I'll go ahead and show you all what Elisar saw. You may each pick any space from the bottom five rows to begin.

From the entrance, you first see three rows of hobgoblin warriors, each outfitted with greatswords and half-plate, like the captains fought outside. On each side of the room, are two 15' high bronze statues of an impressively built, heavily armored hobgoblin, standing atop piles of bodies, shield at his side, sword raised to the sky. You hear creatures hiding behind  each statue, and strangely, one within the statue on the left. On the throne at the far end of the room, sits what can only be Largath, the spitting image of the statues. At his left hand, a lightly armored hobgoblin holds a quarterstaff at arm's length, and holds aloft a greater-been there-crystal! It is glowing gently as he chants.
