Re: OOC Discussion

Did anyone watch the Cypher Unlimited crew interview Shanna Germain?  It was maybe 2 weeks ago. Great interview, she is such a sweet heart. Her original name for Predation was Fucking Dinosaurs!

I haven't seen the interview, but I follow her on Twitter.  They bought her a shirt with that on it.

I am on their discord page. Lots of good stuff floating around. They just did an interview with Dominique Dickey that among other things wrote the Heist On Miracle IV adventure.

Re: OOC Discussion

I am enjoying (as a player) Roam's complete sabotaging of Coralian's manipulations of Cole.  She's doing everything she can to wheedle information out of him with honey, and Roam just comes in and pours vinegar on the whole situation.

I was really hoping we could avoid having to murder him to protect ourselves, but I don't think that's gonna work now.  Thought perhaps that's presumptuous of me.  We'll see what tales are yet spun.

Re: OOC Discussion

Hey, I’m sorry.  I saw the honey and wasn’t trying to pour vinegar.  I was just saying that I do like what he’s done and I’m sorry I threatened his life.  Let’s sit down and talk.

Haha.

Re: OOC Discussion

It's totally in character for Roam, that's why I like it.  We'll see if there's a way we can spin this so it doesn't inspire him to set off some alarm or something.

Roam can stab him.  Plus we do have an official SATI scientist with us.

Quick video on the Dust channel on YouTube.  Interesting film.  Perhaps the origins of SATI?

Re: OOC Discussion

I now in a position do to an update on what happened in my neck of the woods.  Search for "Iowa derecho" if you want to see exactly what happened, but what basically was going on was that on Monday, August 10th a massive windstorm hit my area around 1:30pm (I was asleep due to my nocturnal schedule, but I woke up in a hurry).  It was a derecho, a straight-line windstorm with winds up to 100mph, though it was about 80mph in my area.  Is sounded like a freight train and looked like a hurricane, with branches and bits of roofing flying by our front windows.  We lost power shortly after the storm and didn't get it back until late evening on Friday the 15th.  We didn't get Internet back until Saturday the 16th, and spent most of Sunday and Monday replacing the food we'd lost from our fridge and ice chest and doing chores we couldn't do with the power out.  We were very lucky in that we (or my parents in the same area) didn't have any house damage and very minimal tree damage. Some folks weren't so lucky. There were trees across roads, trees on houses, and some cities had very massive property damage to a huge amount of homes and businesses (one city to the west of us has people camping in their front yards as they have no place else to stay). There are still roads shut with trees and light poles across them, and we've lost an immense amount of trees everywhere.  Every day for a week the air is alive with the sounds of generators, chainsaws, and woodchippers.  It's going to take weeks to get the branches and trees cleared that fell down during the storm, more to remove the trees that are damaged but still upright, and every third house is sporting a tarp to cover lost shingles, roof damage, or worse. We're one of the lucky ones and I am very grateful right now.

I will hopefully be able to update the game tonight or tomorrow.

So glad you made it through safe.  That was an awful storm and the damage is vast.  Take care and thanks for the update.

Re: OOC Discussion

Wow, that sucks a lot. We are not really used to this kind of phenomenons in France and they sound really impressive. Glad you made it without too much damage.
And as the other said, we can wait patiently while you fix what has to be fixed. IRL first. :)

Re: OOC Discussion

I just want to make sure I understand Cole's latest statements.  This is what I understand him to mean/believe:

1) He understands that we killed some significant portion of his raptors.
2) He's not really upset about this, just disappointed that his research failed/is set back a bit.
3) He doesn't want a link to Xanadu even though he earlier stated the outposts planned to be linked via the transponders.
4) He wants us to set up the transponders exactly where we suggested they shouldn't go.  He wants to test them where they will show effectiveness (or fatal non-effectiveness).
5) He still believes we are full-on, legit SATI reps.

Please let me know if I understand correctly, or need to roll to do so.

Re: OOC Discussion

Ok, first thought is to hand the tablet to Rebekah!  Yikes!

Also, is the mapping and the imprint input on the same device?  Like, can I distract him with reviewing the mapping while someone tries to ... something ... the imprint receiver?

Re: OOC Discussion

Maps seem to be on a different machine at the moment, but I'm certain you could come up with an excuse to view them from the data tablet!

Handing it to Rebekah's not a bad notion, though it might give back some funny results if she puts her imprint in!  :D

Re: OOC Discussion

Well, I was thinking that she'd hack it to ensure that our imprints read as valid.  (If we need a legit imprint, it goes to Dr. Lewis.)

Otherwise, Xanadu's gonna come hunt us down.  Whether they'd kills us or offer us a job is an open question.

Re: OOC Discussion

I feel stupid for fixing the Piski's nest now. That could have make a good diversion if they had broke free.
If we need a diversion, I have an equipment cache cypher. I could summon a smoke emitter or something like that and cry a big "Fire!". But I fear the Teslasaurus would overreact something like that and we might need something more subtle. :P

Roam, Dr. Cole is the guy we're bluffing.

Dr. Lewis is our charge.

Unless you're some sort of sleeper agent?  ... something you'd like to tell us, Roam?
