Hello everyone! Welcome to the game. I'm excited to get into things.

As we get started, here's what the first couple of steps look like:

• Feel free to post in the OOC threads.
• Everyone will have their own Backstory/Workshop Thread for hammering out and clarifying your character's concept.
• The Backstory threads will be public, and I encourage you all to read them, but please do not post in anyone else's thread. If you have a great idea for someone, bring it up in the OOC thread and that player can bring back to their thread if they wish.
• Once we've got Backstories worked out, we'll start talking about Relationships and the When The Group First Got Together scene.

Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have, about this game, or Masks in general, or whatever else.

Update!

1. We've got five players confirmed. It's an interesting mix. Two characters with direct ties to villainy. Two characters with a tightly shared backstory. And one character tucked in the middle happy to be involved.

2. Workshop threads are all up. I've updated two with my notes. I'll try to get the others done later today.

3. I'm talking to one additional player in PM. So we might have a late addition, depending.

4. There's been some discussion in the OOC thread about the game's tone and mood and such. Everyone feel free to chime in. I'll update the Setting thread as things are decided.

This is a good group. I think this is going to be fun. I'm excited to get started.

Update!

1. I have added the sixth (and absolutely last) player, who's playing a Protégé. I wouldn't usually have six players in a Masks game, but I thought that with the Joined sharing a space, and the possibility of attrition, we could make it work. Plus I think the character fits right into what it looks like we'll be up to here.

2. So bear with me a bit in these beginning stages, which are work-intensive for me. And once we've started, I'll have to be careful about moving the spotlight around, and I'll ask everyone to please be patient with that as well.

We did it! The pre-work is done! Nice work, everyone.

I've got a busy couple of days ahead and I think I'm getting a head-cold. But I'm really excited to get started, so I'm going to do what I can to get rolling in the next day or two.
