Morin heals Cain of some of Sanvil's spell's effect(+4 HP), but the ropefist manages to knock aside the half-elf's thrusting blade and is only momentarily caught off-guard by Zorden's strange joke.

With a ropefist thug almost literally in her face, Ionaya takes another healthy step back from the thug in front of her
and then uses the wand to attack the ropefist.

A Wilhelm Scream carries through the tunnel as Ionaya sends two bolts of energy square into her assailant's chest, dropping him to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

Cael struggles to attack the drone again, but the netting restricts his movements and spoils his swing.

"Get the big one!" Sanvil calls out to his hired minions--only one still standing to hear--and moves away from Cain to focus on Cael. Touching the caught Barbarian is no challenge and Cael recoils at the shock of cold(-6 HP) but is otherwise unfased by the magic.

The drone and hired ropefist step in to pile attacks onto the barbarian, but each fail to hit.

Zorden took a step back, and tried to shoot the ropefist again.

Seeing Cael take another hit, Morin rushed back to heal the barbarian again.  He didn't make any particular effort to avoid the Ropefist's ropefists as he moved, apparently preferring to let his lack of concern serve as yet another bit of mockery towards the thug.

Cain again slashes at the thug before moving west to help Cael.

Decent hit, I think. After attacking I'm moving two squares west, one north to hopeful get into flanking position next round. A roll to avoid AoO, if one is necessary:

Ionaya moves to the fallen thug, taking a quick glance before passing him by. When she gets by Morin, she puts her back to the wall and uses the wand to attack the remaining ropefist.

Move to Morin's side, then fire two more Magic Missiles into the standing ropefist thug.

Zorden steps back and sends another loud drum-beat at the ropefist, but misses once again. (-1 Grit) Morin dances into the fray with abandon, provoking the ropefist who is unable to land his punch on the small, moving target, and taps Cael with a bit more healing (+4 HP).

Cain, looking more like Cael than Cael at the moment, thrusts two-handed with his dueling blade and sinks the tip deep into the thug's gut. Surprise washes over the kid's face briefly before fading away as he slumps to the ground and begins to bleed out(-12 HP). Leaving the ropefist to get on with dying, the half-elf then circles around to get in position to bring down the drone.

Ionaya steps over the downed ropefist between her and the rest of the party--who as best as she can tell isn't faking--and makes her way to the end of the tunnel she had backed into. Seeing Cain fell the other thug, she sends Khonnir's Magic Missiles at the mirrored Sanvil--the magic bolts ignoring his illusory selves and striking the true Sanvil hard(-7 HP).

Cael, getting fed up with the constraining net, finally wrestles the trailing rope free from the drone and begins to tear away the net with his great blade--but can't quite cut himself free. (-9 HP)

Sanvil steps in to flank Cael with the drone, but both fail to make a mark on the violently twisting barbarian.

"Ha!" Cain shouts as his blade fells the thug before stepping behind the robot to strike at its back. His jubilation is premature though, as the strike is easily deflected by its metal armor.

Zorden took a step back and began reloading his weapon.

"Huzzah!" Morin whooped as the second goon went down. "We got 'em on the ropes now!"

Still, it wasn't quite time for the party to let their guard down.  Morin once again reached out with his wand to patch up Cael and keep him in the fight.

Cael continued to attempt to cut free from the net that vexed him so greatly.

Ionaya stepped up behind Morin, crackles of energy arcing between her electric blue eyes. She demanded in a cold, clear voice, "Surrender or flee Sanvil! You will not win!" before attacking him once more with the wand.

Cain steps up to flank the reborn robot, but it dodges the thrusting blade despite its divided atention. Cael strips the last of the entangling net away as Morin gives him another surge of healing(+4 HP)--the tide of this battle now clearly turning. Zorden steps away to reload his clunky and seemingly mundane musket in light of all the recently encountered advanced weaponry as Ionaya sends another volley of missiles into Sanvil's chest--his mirror images useless against the seeking magic of Khonnir's wand. (-8 HP)

The robot lashes out again at the barbarian with its heavy metal arm--the strike dislodging his humerus from its seat in his shoulder with a loud *pop*(-10 HP). With the distraction of the robot's great blow against the Kellid and his advantages washing away and the tide turning against him, Sanvil breaks away from his attack on Cael and steps away with a growl, "Curse you! You'll pay when my brothers get here!" And with a wave of his hand and another arcane word, the Technologist vanishes.[Private to Cain; Ionaya; Morin Matzylford: Vanish]

Zorden bared his sharp teeth in a snarl when Sanvil disappeared.  Surrender or flee were not the options he would have offered the man.

His tail grabbed his last flask of acid from where it was safely tucked away, and Zorden took the container and tossed it at the ground where Sanvil last stood hoping to ward off the invisible League puppet from trying to get close enough to stab any of them in the back.

"Where you gonna go, dummy?" Morin taunted towards the spot Sanvil had been standing a moment ago, and where he knew the magus was standing still.  "Invisible or not, you're still stuck in a corner!"

As he spoke, the bard once again reached out with the wand, touching it to Cael's wounded shoulder.  There was an uncomfortably wet *pop* as the dislocated joint slid back into it's socket.

As Cain and Cael lay into the surrounded robot(-9 HP, -8 HP), Zorden and Ionaya throw a pair of acid flasks which shatter on the ground where the disappearing technologist last was and spray their yellowish contents about the cavern. "Ah! Ah! _ah.." Sanvil's voice utters in brief panic as small bits of acid burn his invisible flesh, but trails off just before a man-shaped splash comes from the shallow water nearby, leaving an unmoving, man-shaped recession in the surface.

The drone steps out from between the two attackers, over the body of the unconscious ropefist, as it futiley swings at Cael, who is much more nimble when not trapped in a net, and demands, [Language unknown: "Houcon-oreive caseev ouinbe! Ssio oul heweai ekeldi hiar comearvorrut urce asloec!"]

No new map this time, only change is drone stepped 5' south.

Zorden looked at the water where Savnil went, and appeared to still be based on the odd way something made invisible still interacts with the world around them.  Based on the shape it appeared that the so called merchant had tripped and fallen.  Zorden mused he could also be dead, but didn't figure their luck quite that good.  Still, he wasn't moving, so perhaps he was hoping to stay out of the way while the metal man finished them off.

Turning his attention to that particular threat, Zorden leveled his now reloaded weapon in the machine's direction and attempted to put a bullet in it.

Seeing that the fight was winding down, Morin was finally able to take a break from pumping out healing.  He squinted at the invisible imprint where Sanvil had apparently fallen into the water.  Was he dead, or had he just tripped?  Or was this some sort of ruse to put the party off their guard?

"Ah what the hell," Morin exclaimed with a shrug.  "I'll take the bait."  Stepping towards the invisible mage Morin reached out with his free hand to locate his position.  After all, he couldn't just leave Sanvil laying face-down in a pond.  Now that Morin knew that the merchant was Technic League, he had all kinds of questions for the man.  Some of those questions might even be relevant to the party's goal!

STANDARD: Pull Sanvil's head out of water, if relevant.  If it's a trick, full defense action.

Cain follows the drone south, trying to keep it between himself and Cael as he strikes at its back.

Move 10' south to reestablish flanking. Attempting (and failing miserably) to avoid an AoO while doing so:

Morin moves to the downed invisible form of Sanvil and gropes at where his head is displacing the putrid water of the cave, grabbing a fistful of the man's long hair and lifting his head. There is a guttural gurgle as his neck is stretched, but he is otherwise unresponsive, out cold.

Cael swings his great blade wildly at the metal drider, striking a steel plate but glancing off. Zorden unleashes another black power blast at point blank range, the lead bullet bouncing another of the robot's armor platings. Cain has more luck, deftly ducking below the drone's swinging arm as he maneuvers to flank the enemy and thrusting the dueling blade deep into the inner-workings of the construct catching vitals gears and hydraulics as he twists the blade(-9 HP).

Having seen Khonnir's wand have no effect on robots and knowing why he brought her along in the first place, Ionaya casts a spell enveloping her hand in arcing electricity and rushes into the fray. With a mere touch, the bright energy leaps from her hand and into the metal construct, coursing through its form. The drone convulses as the electricity overloads it and causes a number of *pops* and *snaps* to sound out from within, black smoke to rise from its joints, and a pungent spell to waft out. The light fades from the drone's singular eye and it lets out a slow groan and it slumps in place, still standing but seemingly lifeless. (-15 HP)

Cain wipes his brow, slightly surprised that all of them are still alive. "Great. As if this place was not dangerous enough, now we have these Technic bastards to deal with as well. Let's get out of here before... Wait. Where's Khonnir?"

Suddenly remembering the reason they are here for in the first place, he rushes down the tunnel to find Khonnir before someone or something else does.
