"Hold up!"  Mario raises his staff to a horizontal guard position to prevent Brodak from passing.

"I found a hole of some kind."

Once sure Brodak and those behind him have stopped, he probes for the edges of the hole.

Is the water clear, like water that's been standing undisturbed often is, or murky?

OOC:  Hello, not Photographic, just Eidetic, so it's only a +5 not a +10 to memory rolls....  suppose I'll just make a roll then...

Not exactly 'crushing it' but a solid MoS +5.

"That's hazardous -- more so with the standing water.

"Clarence, have you got a spare light that'll sink?  Don't think we'll get this one back.

"Wait, let's see if there's something we can tie it on."

Mario starts scanning the walls and ceiling, looking for hooks or projections a light could be strung from.

"Anyone got some string?"

[Private to GM: 20:33, Today: Mario Crowfoot rolled 11 using 3d6.  Per (11) looking for something to tie a light onto.]

something rises out of the hole with a loud screeching squelch!
It is a dripping dark bundle, an the opening of the drain creats a loud rushing whirlpool, those close make a DX roll to stay upright.

the bundle took some fp to raise, it appears to have been one of those maned rats that went in headfirst and couldn't pull itself out.

Planting his feet wide to let the water pass between, Mario levers his staff under the rising mass, trying to keep the water from sucking it back down.
