XP for GP is possible ~ but carrying off everything not nailed down means encumbrance.

If the actual treasure is worthwhile and the other stuff is paltry beside it, then we'd have much less incentive to strip a place bare. But, yeah, encumbrance is part of what is meant to limit that. The rules actually do fit together surprisingly well, if one plays the game as intended.

What rules are we using? The character sheet has a few things I don't recognize, like ability score modifiers to saving throws.

Im not sure what system we are using. Wrote a PM asking but no reply. I came here to play a game, not develop one.

So I await the start when things are figured out.

My PC wont last long with one hitpoint. But I look forward to seeing how far I get.

The BECMI edition was one of the Basic (as opposed to Advanced) editions of D&D, an immediate successor to the BX edition (which had only Basic and Expert Sets). In 1991, the BECMI rules were compiled and edited into a new edition, the Dungeons & Dragons Rules Cyclopedia edition, so named because the core rulebook was the Rules Cyclopedia.

Thanks to Birhu, I updated all character sheets. And thank you for the character sheet. Please add Comeliness as an ability. Please  add a page for equipment, money, possessions, etc.

Starting HP = Max HP + Con bonus.

I will also need racial types. Pictures appear to show many elves. I have no problem with that. Note that elves are a hybrid character to play. When they level up, you must choose to level up as a fighter or as a MU (magic user). They are the only character type that does this. Please clearly note your level in each category.

All characters start at level 1. Elves start with level 1 Fighter and level 1 MU. Elves may cast magic while in armor.

Starting money is 3D6 x 10 in GP. What is not spent on gear is cash in hand.

I see there is a wiki for me to add details. I will also include the initial setting for the adventure in Bascombe. This may help in racial/background choices.

That's not how the Elf class works by the book. If you want to run it that way as a house rule, that's your choice.

Interesting thoughts. I have never played BECMI, nor seen it played. There are very limited game play podcasts to listen too. So a lot of this is outlines & notes from reading thru the books. A learning experience for everyone.

Yes, you get Level 1 max HP + your Con adjustment/modifer. You're adventurers & need every HP you can get. Fighting everything you come across may not be a wise idea.
