Chinilaya-Main House

The guards were taken down on the deck (concrete overlaid with redwood) without ever getting a chance to fire their M14's. Nicholas Temper quickly zipties those still breathing. There was some patio furniture on the deck, but it has been tossed to the right of the stairway and lies in a small pile.
The living/recreation room, inside the door, has modern furniture in silvered metal and black.Throw pillows and large cushions litter the floor. There is also a pool table, a wet bar, and a projection screen. The entrance is lower than the rest of the living room, and there is a step up at the dashed line.
There is a framed picture of Chinilayan Presidernt Carlos Calvione being inaugurated on the wall. Attached to the screen on the wall is a sophisticated signal descrambling unit.

"I believe what you have there is a high-speed signal decoder with rotating keys. They're usually used for hard-wired communications between permanent installations. It's probably for military transmissions between the president and the nearest base installation."

Nick Temper looks confused, pointing to Spymaster and Señor Garcia he says, "Huh. I just got a text from Flagg. He says to tell you guys Major Harris is at the electrostatic cannon. That can't be Oliver Harris, I thought they kicked him a long time ago."

Paragon:
"Okay. Anything you guys want to look at or do we move on?"

As Senior Garcia pulled 4 of the 20 round M-14 magazines from the dead bodies he had shot and deposited them in his drop pouch he responded to Paragon. "See what you can get without compromising our position, anybody using seven point six-two NATO should grab a few of these M-14 mags as reloads." Although the M-14 magazines were not compatible with his Mk 20 SSR Battle/Sniper Rifle, the ammunition carried within them was.

Veteran Grunt:
"Huh. I just got a text from Flagg. He says to tell you guys Major Harris is at the electrostatic cannon. That can't be Oliver Harris, I thought they kicked him a long time ago."

Seeing that one of the men he had shot still had life in him, Senor Garcia drew his knife and plunged it in the man's heart. Better to give the man a quick death then dying slowing from a mortal wound, he responded to Nick. "Our comms may have been compromised, don't respond."

Spymaster:
"you should go. We both know he's on the list."
Senor Garcia contemplated what Spymaster says. "It's a dammed if we do and a dammed if we don't situation. If we respond on comms, we give away our existence. If we send two people that direction to warn the others verbally it could reduce our ability to accomplish our mission."

Upon hearing something over the radio, Senor Garcia responds.

“Flying the nuke straight up into the air won’t help when or if it goes off. If you’re going to try and move it away take it out to sea and drop it into the ocean .”

Before saying the last part of his radio transmission he looks to the others, it wouldn’t matter if they were a mile away or right next to the bomb if it went off.

“Or bring it to me. I can probably disarm it.”

As they move through the house, carefully sweeping through the rooms before passing the rooms by, the most obvious thing is the lack of any people. There's evidence that there were people. A fresh cup of coffee on a nightstand beside an unmade bed. Glasses of ice water with ice that is partially melted.

Room 14, which turned out to be a library/study, wasn't locked. In addition to its odd locking mechanism, the door is also discovered to weigh quite a bit more than it should.
here are a number of books on various subjects in various languages in the bookcases. On the desk is a computer terminal; its single obvious connection is to a device that looks suspiciously like a satellite uplink. Underneath the desk is a small, hand-held ultrasonic digital transmitter.

Senor Garcia looks at Paragon, and Spymaster: "I hope playing with computers is within your skill set. All I used to do was plug in and let a support guy back at Langley do the hacking. Or I'd just yank the hard drives and go."

Still, he looks around for any camera, or microphones within the room, as well as any hidden compartments/doors, and last maybe determine what nation manufactured the expensive computer equipment and digital transmitter.

16:11, Today: Secret Roll: Senor Garcia rolled 5 using 1d100 with rolls of 5.  Surveillance Systems 113% anything in room 14. – 5
Pretty much a critical PASS

16:13, Today: Secret Roll: Senor Garcia rolled 13 using 1d100 with rolls of 13.  Detect Concealment 110% (any concealed compartments room 14). – 13
PASS, any concealed compartments in room 14?

16:14, Today: Secret Roll: Senor Garcia rolled 11 using 1d100 with rolls of 11.  Military Intelligence 101% room 14 CPU & transmitter. – 11
PASS, anything noteworthy about the equipment, and possibly its origin/manufacturer?

After some examination, Spymaster says, "nothing can be done with this machine. I suspect this is a dumb client that becomes fully operational only when the server is online. I suspect this would be used for scheduled status reports from military installations."
Spymaster begins checking the books, at which he shrugs, "there's too much variety here. To have collected these books someone would need to be a polyglot studying medicine, physics, spiritualism, and psychology. There's no order to it, as well. These books are shelved with no regard for dewey decimals."
"I think these bookcases are just hiding something."

As Senor Garcia walked over to the bookcases, he tells the others "There are probably camera's in the ceiling corners of this room." As he inspected the bookcases he looks for any disguised switches or levelers.
