Great news!
At the moment the playing characters for this adventure are two droids, one Jedi, one soldier and one noble. I suggest you pick the class that gives you more fun - hopefully that character will play many more adventures... :)

The droids, if you're curious, are a medic (not sure what class 2-1BZ is) and a pilot (who's also sneaky)

I'm planning him to go, eventually, the gunslinger/bounty hunter PC route. I was thinking about bounty hunter, but I'm less inclined with that now give certain RP happenings.

I was thinking it would be fun to play a bounty hunter who didn't kill their prey, but instead stunned them and used poisons to capture and subdue. I may still try to go the nonlethal route, but it depends on what happens going forward.

On a personal note, I broke the cap off my tooth and didn't get home til late last night. At least I was able to take today off and got an appt. I wanted to have it done when I'm taking next week Friday off for my DOT physical, but they don't do those kinds of visits on Fridays, sigh. . . I wish I wasn't an organic. ;)

Saga Edition has some pretty good stuff for bounty hunters who try to capture alive; all kinds of stuff to knock targets down the condition track without doing much damage, and if you can get them to the bottom without killing them, then you've got them.

Ops.... we just reached the 6,000th post... This goes well beyond my expectations.

I'm curious if many of my fellow players have gone through the adventures before and, thus, already know the broad strokes of what will happen. I have no doubt in their ability to avoid metagaming, I'm just curious.

I have not gone through any of the adventures before. So all I know is what the little summaries say and whatever I can guess from the title (and series, if I went through a prior one). :D My guesses are often wildly inaccurate... often the little summaries are blatantly misleading.

Yeah. Figuring out what is going on is a fun process. TBH if game mastering wasn't so much work, I would prefer that role. I enjoy surprising my players.

But, then again, tropes are fun too. Sometimes if my party walks into a huge round room with dozens of knight statues around the wall, the players are absolutely right to expect the door to shut locked behind them and for the statues to come to life.

I like playing as much as game mastering (I also like writing adventures, but that takes too much time to me to do it routinely when I run games, and for this reason I usually stick to scripted adventures...) and I think that an healthy balance between them (also with the same game companions that routinely change roles) is a good option. For this reason I created these threads in my games: link to a message in this game so that you can "return the favour" and keep playing with the same group of (trusted) game companions. Finding a group of people that is reasonably dependable (i.e. not ghosting) on RPoL is important, in the long run.

Damn it Zerk...that sounds like a challenge :P

Now I might need to build a Jedi...ROFL

It's not that Jedi can't be pretty much OP and be all paladin-ish and whatever... it's just that in the adventures that Zerk's been in they have been impressive in mostly just the wrong ways. :D

Agr (my other character) is much more impressed with them.
