easily, there is a place to rent horses or pack mules not far from the South Gate.
You can buy them outright, or rent them as if they were hirelings.

"Well, how much do we need the pack animal to carry?  If it's no more than a couple hundred pounds, a burro will work fine; cheaper to feed than a horse or mule, and small enough to pass through a human-sized door if needed."

"How if we travel light instead.  Suleiman, can you create water? Or even better, food as well?  Cast spells of light, so we needn't bring lamps or oil?  If we need only carry our weapons and armor, even a week of rations each, there would be no need to make this a huge expedition."


OOC: I can lighten my load enough to get to full move, no encumbrance, with 6 days of rations and my usual fighting gear (but no ranged attacks).  That would make it more like 2 days to the tower instead of three for me traveling alone -- but only if I don't have to carry water.  Or I could add some water and carry less food, if I could travel that fast.

- Alas, of what you mentioned, I can only help with light. However, this country is plentiful of water, so I think we can rely on finding it by the way. May I suggest that for a three-day round trip we will only need food and warm sleeping bags. One mule - if any at all - to carry our food should suffice.
