Dubh will plink away at the zombies. Gotta love multi targeting cantrips!

Re: OOC Chat

So the Ocean's Balm doesn't cost you anything to cast?   I see that you can't do it to any one person more often than every 10 minutes, but I guess that means we are all healed up to full whenever we have down time.

Do you actually want me to roll treat injury or do we simply assume that it goes off without a hitch?

You can if you like, but since Telric has unlimited non-combat healing, it no longer matters.  I didn't realize that when I had posted.

Re: OOC Chat

GM:
He's 15 feet from the ground; out of range for Sophia's sword.

I was going to suggest that if either of you two, Dubh and Telric, have any good ideas for bringing him down into Sophia's range, you should do it.  He's using Gecko Grip to stay up out of her reach, according to GM.  (I'm not sure if we would know that, but at least we can see that he is doing the Spiderman thing on the wall.)  Maybe, Telric, you have something that could make the wall he's attached to a little less solid?

Druid's have great Will saves, so my Command is not likely to help.

Otherwise, Sophia, time to give that returning dagger another try.  :-)

I feel that since GM also mentioned a "summon ability" that Sophia might have plenty to do down here very soon...

Re: OOC Chat

Yeah, although at this rate he might not get to use his summon! You guys have quite the habit of short-circuiting your enemies' tactics by just blasting them way harder than anyone expected. Even Nugrah, who burned one of his 3rd-rank spells JUST to have a few rounds to buff up, is already having things go poorly for him! Maybe I should have let him summon on round 1 even though he didn't quite have the actions for it (even with his unique 2-action summon ability, because it's one to Dismiss one with stone, one to climb the wall, and then... he only had one left). Oh well. It's not like the final result of this encounter was ever seriously in doubt.... probably.

Are we opposed to recruiting Falgrim and the rest to our cause? Seems like we'd need some manpower... And they wouldn't be the first bandits we brought on.

Re: OOC Chat

We get a bounty for turning Falgrim in, so I kind of doubt he's likely to be willing after that.  He's been described as a snake, anyway, so we wouldn't be able to trust him.  I'm willing to give the other guys a chance, with some oversight initially just as we did with Charlie and Venk.

Re: OOC Chat

Yeah, Sergeant Garess is offering a bounty for Falgrim because Falgrim betrayed him and his entire mercenary band. Mercenaries.... don't appreciate being betrayed. The other bandits will also warn you about Jex "the Snitch", for hopefully obvious reasons; he was the Stag Lord's favorite minion, mostly for his tendency to narc on the others. There was a reason Auchs was so willing to pound the tar out of him on a flimsy excuse.

Wow, I don't sign in for the long weekend and you've killed the BBEG. Again!

Seriously starting to wonder about the mild mannered bard over here though. How many people are you going to put in the ground with your words?

Re: OOC Chat

GM and I are both away this long weekend.  GM is at Board Game Geek convention in Dallas, and I am in California visiting my in-laws.  He's probably having a ball playing games round the clock.  So don't think we've forgotten the game, but it is likely to be slow for a few days.

Well, the in-laws was fine.  However, the flight home was / is a nightmare.  Our flight to DFW was cancelled, the replacement delayed and delayed and delayed and then finally cancelled.  After spending the whole day at the airport, we went to a hotel and are stuck here for a whole day until we can get our next replacement flight.  Sigh.

And meanwhile, I'm stuck in a hotel in Dallas, without my work laptop, because I have their car and keys, and if I drive back home, then they'll be REALLY stuck.

Re: OOC Chat

Update on the ongoing saga, if anyone is interested.  Otherwise, skip to the ------ for actual game related stuff.

GM and I both live in Austin, about 5 minutes from each other.  My wife (GM's mother) and I (GM's father) planned to go to Sacramento for the long weekend and GM was going to Dallas for the BGG convention.  Since we could get cheaper flights out of Dallas, and GM was headed there anyway, we decided to fly out of there.  We had planned to come home on Tuesday, but DFW was shut down and our flight was cancelled because of the storms in Texas.  We were rebooked for another flight close to midnight, and GM extended his hotel by a night, forced to hang out an extra day in Dallas with little to do.  (It's 3 hours back to Austin, so the round trip didn't make sense.)

Our rebooked flight, after being delayed several times, was also cancelled.  We were rescheduled for early the next morning.  American Airlines was particularly unhelpful -- I didn't expect any amenities or anything, but my wife is in a wheelchair so the least they could have done is to provide us a list of hotels with shuttles that can transport someone in a wheelchair, and/or cab companies with wheelchair vehicles.  We finally managed to find one of the latter and spent the night at an overpriced airport hotel.

Getting up early to make our new, re-re-booked flight.  We saw that was cancelled, as well, and they had re-booked us through Phoenix, with an EIGHT-HOUR layover.  My wife can barely tolerate a direct flight, so that was a non-starter.  We finally cancelled our flight and booked a very expensive one-way flight directly to Austin on another airline.  We were supposed to be home on Tuesday evening, but didn't actually get home until Thursday night!

---------------------------------

At 4th level Wilkezag gets the ability to have a spellbook and to add one spell from it to his repertoire each day.  Therefore, I'm going to take the four scrolls that we have (scrolls of fear, invisible item, mending, synchronize, and translate) to put them all in my repertoire.  Given a day of warning, I can cast any of these.

---------------------------------

GM, you were going to create a new OOC thread for us.  This seems like a good time.

URGH trip from hell, sorry!

You might be able to get some compensation if there are 'passenger bill of rights' or anything in US?

Yeah, but only if the delays were the airline's fault.  Since this is just weather, they wash their hands of it.

Re: OOC Chat

Even "travel insurance" usually doesn't help with weather-related delays; they're considered "acts of God" despite being 100% completely predictable. ("What the hell does travel insurance cover, then?" I hear you ask. Good question.) Seriously, air travel is basically just a horrifying dystopian dictatorship in the US. If you're somewhere else, lucky you.
