The Dark Tower - Level The Second
While Aurion and Tesseryn exchange meaningful glances and Brindle makes both Halflings vanish, Ishpemo leads the way up the staircase, showing no concernas it sways beneath him, before striding boldly into the Inn in a manner that befits one who has two giants in tow and little hope of subterfuge winning the day.
The smirk upon the face of the handsome man who would be mayor, if not king, does waver slightly as he sees Malicia lounging languidly in a dark corner of the common room, but he elects not to ignore her when she raises her glass, waving a finger in the direction of the barkeep as he heads towards her.
What conversation there was before your entrance becomes muted as all eyes turn your way, but picks up considerably as Goom and Golgant enter, so you only hear snatches of the exchange between Ishpemo, Melkor Stoneteeth and the Succubus, though the outcome seems obvious as the bartender retreats behind the counter in ill-humour, Ishpemo's face revealing mixed feelings and Malicia seeming positively delighted as she accompanies him as he makes his way back to you.
"This good lady ..." Ishpemo begins, through clenched teeth.
"Oh I think that's a little harsh !" the Succubus interjects wickedly, smiling playfully at you all and licking her lips.
"... has kindly agreed to assist us in our enterprise," he finishes.
"Shall we ?"
Three out of four prisoners seem willing to follow Leisha's lead, while the fourth is finally convinced by Valshalla to do what she says. The staircase doesn't prove much of a challenge, and the parchment in Leisha's possession does as advertised and convinces the undead to ignore one and all.
The traverse through the chamber opposite, filled with skeletons and what remains that Tesseryn couldn't easily scoop up, is rather unpleasant, though Leisha does remember to pronounce the password as the group enters the circular room wherein Omphalos dwells. At least he is pleased to see the young woman.
"Prisssonersss, eh ?" the naga inquires, eyeing the four manacled persons accompanying her.
