The Underground

Once you are trusted, you will be introduced to contacts in the Underground.  These contacts may belong to various groups plotting to overthrow the Orc empire, though each group has its own motivations and plans, which may not always coincide with your character's desires.

Keeglor is an old gnome who spends almost all his days drowning himself in drink at the Crusader's Lounge.  He claims to be a Neutral, meaning that he does not represent any of the Underground groups but often acts as liaison.  He knows a great deal of information and will sometimes share it with you...though he has been known to charge for information.

He tells you for a mere ale about the following Underground Groups:

THE SHADOW DAWN
Even the orcs have heard of “Shadow Dawn” (known as Tel'Sindavathar or “Shadow Alliance” in Elvish).  The Shadow Dawn is a cadre of rebels from various human and demihuman races forming an elite force to sabotage the orc rule and return the three kings to their thrones, the human, elf, and dwarf kings who had to flee at the insurrection.

Keeglor tells you that the Shadow Dawn is worried about traitors in its midst.  It recently lost a high level official in its group, known only as the Chronicler.  His decapitated head was found along the roadside.

Though the Shadow Dawn's internal motivations are not clearly known, it is clearly the most powerful group vying for power.  However, it is said that you do not go looking for the Shadow Dawn; it comes looking for you.

The primary enemy group of the Shadow Dawn is the Black Eucharist, one of the members of the Brotherhood (also known as the "Allevian Alliance").
