Character Creation Summary

REQUEST TO JOIN
You must complete the Request to Join, build a character, and get approved by a GM before you can compete in the arena.

If your RTJ is accepted, you will be given a character sheet and can use the materials provided here to build your character and then request a GM's approval.

Never start a new PM with the GM. Instead, merely respond to your original RTJ PM to message them.

If a GM approves your character, they will also award you bonus build points based on how well you did following all the rules and guidelines.

If they deny your character, they will also explain why and give you tips and tricks on how to make the corrections before you try again.



BUILD POINTS (BP)
The Arena does not use XP or GP. We use a Build Points (BP) system. Your ability points cost BP, your level costs BP, even your race and equipment cost BP. You can customize a character using these points with a lot of flexibility, but you can still only use official Paizo-published Pathfinder materials unless noted otherwise by our site. You start with 2,000 build points, but if you do a good job submitting your character and follow ALL the instructions given, you could get up to 1,000 bonus points to start with. ABILITY POINTS
Your first 25 BP are automatically spent on abilities, giving you 25 ability points to generate your ability scores. You cannot lower ability scores for extra points.



HIT DICE
Player characters, monsters, and permanent minions (cohorts, companions, eidolons, familiars, special mounts) automaximize all their Hit Dice. Only temporarily summoned or conjured creatures do not.



RACES

CLASSES
You can have only up to 2 base classes and only 1 prestige class.



TRAITS
No traits or flaws unless you're willing to take the Additional Traits feat.



HOUSE RULES
There are a few house rules on the arena to keep things simple. For example, all stats reset after each fight (no permanent ability drain or level drain and resurrections are free and so forth) and automatic death effects are suspended while you have 50% HP or more (see Arena Immunities). Some feats may also be affected. Make sure you review the site.
