Team Match #4: Tina & Maelstrom vs. Brakt & Josep

I rolled all the randomness for you guys. Couldn't use dice for the teams so I used Random.org. If you guys wanted to roll, you should've decided as to how to go about that beforehand and put it in your extras.

Tinny Tina:
Tinny Tina challenges Brakt, Josep Gavinho, and Maelstrom

   Match Type: 2v2
BP/Hero Limit: No Limit BP / No Limit Hero Points
      Referee: Boadicea
Participant 1: Tinny Tina, Wyrwood, Alchemist 10
Participant 2: Brakt, Ogre, Fighter 9
Participant 3: Josep Gavinho, Drow Noble, Sorcerer 11
Participant 4: Maelstrom, Human, Monk 9
Map: Random - Small King of the Hill
     Lighting: Standard Light
      Terrain: Dungeon
Walls: Wood, Weak walls, low ceiling (25 ft.)
         Prep: 1
Extras: No hero point interruptions; random teams; if a player misses their turn, their teammate can control their turn

OOC: I hope this is fine for everyone. If you have a problem, well, you should've said something.

All adjacent numbers have stairs connecting them making transition between them only difficult terrain rather than a necessary Climb. Note it costs 3 squares of movement to move up stairs and 2 squares to move down.

Josep I do not see a private line with either character sheet or
quote:
DECLARATIONS
You declare your character's race, class(es), mythic tier, level, total BP used and equipment (max 20 items regardless of carrying capacity). You don't have to list what magic or alchemy is on your items, just the items ("longsword", "heavy shield", "vial", "scroll"). You PM the details to the referee during your initiative roll, along with your spells, extracts, feats, archetype, and so forth ("+1 flaming longsword", "+2 heavy mithral shield", "potion of healing", "scroll of explosive fists").
it was talked about in OOC changing it to character sheet but guess it never made it to rules.

OOC: You don't have to list the whole character sheet FORMAT, but you DO have to list all your characters' details. (Ability scores, AC, Hp, CMD, feats, spells, gear, skills, minion, etc.) If you miss any detail, the referee could penalize you (or the GM if he just feels like intervening). If you don't know what details you need, you should play it safe and put EVERYTHING. Doing anything else is unwise.

OOC: Just to throw my two cents in, in my previous post, I listed my class, level, total BP used, items, feats, archetype, and Ki Powers. I'll also list the usual disclosures (AC, CMD, HP, etc.) in the prep round.

But, I'm rather not list much more details to a potential foe. Yes, we can edit our characters via the bp system, but if we find a build we like, most of us aren't editing are sheets too much. Simply by being a ref, Boadicea would have the edge if I were to fight him, and believe Boadicea, we will cross fists one day.

But back on topic! I would rather not disclose too much detail to a potential foe. I preferred when it was just the usual declarations plus our specific equipment. That seemed to work out well.

Can we get a vote on this? Maybe, how much info we think we should list to the ref? I could very well be alone in my belief, but I want to be sure.

OOC: The reason for listing this info is because if anyone contests anything, you have a PM that proves what you had.

If you're SUPER paranoid, you can specifically request the GM to be your ref instead of another player during the challenge. But trust me, I have my hands full right now. If you want a "GM only ref, 0% conflict of interest" then you'll have to get in line...and that line is much much longer wait. However, if you're willing to wait, yes, you can do that. But you probably should've said so before agreeing to a match. That's why made all those picky rules for challenges.

I would prefer we had ONLY GMs instead of gladiator refs, but nobody wants to run an arena game without being allowed to participate. I seem to be the only crazy person who does. But c'est la vie.

For now, you guys can work it out. I leave it to the ref to decide whether they want the info or not and how to resolve it in case a problem occurs.

If anyone comes up with any bright ideas for getting around this issue, I am ALL EARS. Solutions, suggestions, new tools and stuff like that, PLEASE let me know by PM or in OOC. Special exceptions for that stuff (just don't PM me the same suggestions over and over after I've said no or "give me time to think about" or stuff like that).

OOC: Maelstrom the info that you provided fits with the required info and that info should be enough to answer any questions.
