The current BP advancement table was designed to use the character WEALTH PER LEVEL system in Pathfinder as a measure of power. However, the more I analyze Pathfinder, the more I see that the wealth accumulation system does not accurately reflect power in the game. So, I am proposing an adjustment to the system that would allow calculations to proceed into greater levels using mythic tiers so that it would be possible to have a Level 20 character Mythic Rank 10 (instead of maxing out at Lvl 14 MR 6).

Here is the proposed changes:

OPTION 1


OPTION 2
Keep BP table as is but change rewards to 100/200/300 instead of 30/60/90. Also come up with a different way of doing mythic tiers once people get to 20th level.

I'm all for the conversion to a BP table if only for the fact that it means i can finally be a higher level and still keep all my awesome gear.

So i vote,

Edit for option 2: I'm still pro option 1. Instant gratification in the form of leveling up and not working for it. :P

While I think the level-to-item power ratio is okay as it is, I definitely like faster level progression, so my vote's for:

I am probably a little biased here in that I don't rely on items as much as others, additionally I don't have much experience with the BP system so I am probably not the best placed to make judgement. But I am definitely not opposed to faster level progression.

I guess I'll be the odd-ball.

I think a better fix would be to have player wealth and mythic tier determined by the level purchased with BP, rather than determined by BP spent on it.  So, all 8th level characters have standard 8th level wealth and if they are veterans "Mythic on" would grant them 4 mythic tiers.

With hopes for maybe working out something better later, I think I need to vote:

Looking at the math. I think I prefer the first option it gives a easier spin for new players.

No opinion on the table thing.
But I'm still firmly oppose to mythic tiers -- they just mess up the game balance so much...
