@SOMATRA

Welcome Somatra! Always good to see new faces! Yes, you guys should do a monster hunt. As long as you're not in the top 25% ranking or BP totals, monster hunts are FREE.

@BRAKT

It's been a long time since we had a new guild. Great job, Brakt. You've come a long way from a grunt to a guildmaster and competitor in the championship. Even competing in there is impressive, win or lose.

@GRUNYAR

Can you believe this guy? He hasn't fought in forever and he's the highest BP. Not even a veteran. He's just be refereeing. Soon he'll be powerful enough to crush the new champion but not allowed to challenge them for the belt. XD

Re: OOC Discussion 8

I'm not going to be doing anything for a while, so I'm up for a monster hunt, or.

Lyn tells me she's up for a Juggernaut if a couple of you newbies want to try your luck :)

That includes you vets who want to make a new alt as well >_>

Lol I will get there some day only three more left, one with possibly the new champ (I have faith in Latro his bag of tricks may not be as large as it should be but the antipaladin is still in the fight)

Maybe the refereeing job is too well paid ?
In the juggernaut, the highest earner is the ref.

Yeah, but we want to leave an incentive for reffing too. If we lower the pay below or equal to "losing" BP, why would anyone be interested?

Plus juggernauts and FFA are difficult to ref, especially if people start rules debates.

Re: OOC Discussion 8

Incentive is important, it’s tough when you find a good duel but can’t get a ref for months. Also having just recently started rules lawyering for real I’m glad the ref gets a reward for putting up with it :p

Maybe we should be able to ref whilst playing?

Re: OOC Discussion 8

Would be nice! But it might get complicated with the rewards from one game affecting those from another. Although we do declare level when we challenge, we could declare BPs and then that would be saved in the first post.

One important benefit with that: one wouldn't have to be afraid of being locked reffing a game for two months when one could've done several duels.

You can.

Just use one of your alts.

You just can't ref and compete in the same game nor have one character be in multiple places at once.

I’ve got the outlines of a new build done, so if anyone wants to go for a duel I’m about ready :)

Re: OOC Discussion 8

The problem with focusing all your effort on one character means that at some point you reach the top and your options for duels runs thin. If you can't find anyone, I recommend switching to a lower BP alt for a while. Just so all you 3,000+ BPers (all 3 of you) are aware that you can do that.

In reply to GM Arkrim (msg # 248):

I’d very much like to make an alt, didn’t think I could before I was veteran though!
Another option is that I play with a build of lower BP, around 2500, if anyone would accept that :)

So for the Monster Hunt:

Vry has volunteered to be the monster.
Haran Madar showed interest in joining before.  If anyone else wants to join Somatra then jump on in.
And we still need a ref.

Anyone want to volunteer?  I'm pretty ready to try out this build.
