Re: OOC Discussion 8

If Brakt the Ogre was still around, he could take the T-Rex Lord template. Or Mammoth Lord.

I start to understand why Arkrim was reluctant to templates ;)

T-Rex are Gargantuan. If you want something like a T-Rex but "only" Huge, you've got the Allosaurus, though - the main alternative to the Dire Tiger for Wildshape druids.

Re: OOC Discussion 8

In my opinion the emanation off of Latro would need to touching the origin point. Point of the spell the magic springs from. And this is only if we are going to say AF, or any emanation, that seeps into an AoE  could affect the entire AoE.

Example:

Fireball shot in center of ring.

I'm on the outside of the fireball with 5ft or 10ft aura. What my aura touches it affects such that the CL is reduced by 11. But nothing outside of what my aura/emanation touches.

Fireball CL 17-11 = CL6
Fireball still works at 6d6 damage.

Fireball shot in center of ring.

I'm in the center of the fireball(origin point). My AF affects the entire area of the spell because where the magic is pinpointed and shooting out from, I'm affecting with my effect.

Otherwise it would not make sense really.

Grunyar, you posted a PM to me in your fight. I imagine it was meant for Jayce.
Not that there was anything really interesting in that PM, mind you ;)

I really can't duel you. I tell you all of my build ideas as I make them. But that could be my handicap. I'll fight you after igar if igar wants to accept my duel.

Yeah, I'd be happy to fight you after Grunyar. Assuming I manage to avoid fucking up monumentally on the way.

Re: OOC Discussion 8

question for the community:
Because a paladin can use Lay on Hands on themselves as a swift action, would it not be unreasonable to say an Anti-Paladin could do the same with their touch of corruption.

Granted this would have next to no use before they became undead, but does it seem fair? If an living Paladin can heals themselves as a swift action should an undead anti-paladin also have this same function?

Re: OOC Discussion 8

I would almost be willing to say yes. Almost, except Dhampir already heal from negative energy and with the release of the race there was not an errata on ToC.

So, only due to that I would say no. ToC can harm living creatures and Lay on Hands cannot. It can harm undead sure, how useful would you say that would be in this arena? And in most games I've played not really many undead. The two remain balanced.

Re: OOC Discussion 8

Well, RAW the answer is no. And for the reasons mentionned by Jayce, I am uncertain just giving antipaladins the ability to touch themselves as a swift action is balanced.

I'd be okay with a feat that would allow Antipaladins to touch themselves as a swift action, though.

LOL well I miss understood how Beast form worked (wishful thinking) so Rex is way under powered than what I had in my head so he needs all the help he can get and seems like all the creatures with more than one helpful spell is a good alignment.  Dang goody two shoes get all the nice buffs :)

There is an "and/or" on there so no leaderboard just Race.

All the cool kids are Humans I want to as well (pay BP for feats what's not to love and I may even move my alignment)

Re: OOC Discussion 8

Humans are arguably the best option in pathfinder for most builds, but they’re unequivocally the absolute best if not only viable option for any build in the arena, with the BP for traits rule.

They way I read it, you don’t lose HP for resetting just race.

Re: OOC Discussion 8

Oh, that's neat. *takes note*

There is a hidden achievement for a hundred defeats in a row, right?

Anyway, do you guys know whether Androids are allowed? The Inner Sea Bestiary does add RP costs for the new android racial traits, meaning you can build it using the Race Guide rules. However those RP costs are not in the Advanced Race Guide itself, so I'm not certain.

I can of course always ask on the inquiry thread, but it'd be a waste to do so if you already know the answer.
