In reply to Josep Gavinho (msg # 157):
Well, there have been some interesting rulings in the past. I see no reason to add this one to the list of interesting rulings.
So i personally would like to see what the ref says.
Really the only thing i have to go off of is the following from the rules site:
quote:
Auras
Auras are treated as having a duration of 1 round and affect a creature each round they are in the aura or move through it (willingly or not). They allow saving throws to negate every round (unless it deals damage, then its a saving throw for half). Anti-paladin auras, for example, affect a creature immediately upon them entering it (willingly or not) and allow a Will save DC10 + 1/2 antipaladin's level + antipaladin's Charisma modifier to negate the effect each round. A fail means they are affected for 1 round.
Technically speaking, the creature's arms move through the aura to attempt a strike at Latro, which qualifies as the creature entering the aura, if only for a brief moment.
If they were striking with a manufactured weapon i'd write it off as the weapon entering the aura and not the creature itself, but it's the creature's own body that enters into the aura and thus the creature becomes subject to its effects.
