Ankou rolled 31,27 using D20+19,d20+19 with rolls of 12,8.  Spellcraft identify 1 & 2 .

Does Ankou recognise the first spell?

Lyn, can you check the legality of the aerial template on the squid?

Summon nature's ally doesn't add templates. Furthermore neither does his archetype. If using versatile summon monster feat, that is illegal as it only works with summon monster and those that Mimic it. It also requires selections that are able to be used with celestial and fiendish which summon nature's ally cannot be.

If it is all legal, fine. If not, just a regular giant squid.

Ok, just checking. When ever I find a round to use it my AC will be 40 vs you because you hit hard.

Can we get a ruling on the amount of tentacles a giant squid has? Just says tentacles. An octopus entry specifically states 8. This just says tentacles. Is this on purpose and the tentacles are 1 attack for the increased damage?

The way I read it, each arm is one attack, and the rest of the tentacles are a third attack together.

 The Ankou enters the arena with his pet tyrannosaurus Titus.
  "What now Jayce?! No summons? No giant birds? No angels?"

 "Let me then!"


 With a flick of the wrist and a sprinkle of diamond dust, he summons a giant sea monster: the huge squid sprints towards Jayce's island, and observes.

 The big druid then turns into a huge giant, and dives into the waters.

 Titus follows.

OOC: Well, I thought I had this wrapped up in one turn. Guess not. Swift spells do not provoke AoO. If Ankou is evil he takes an extra 12 damage per hit that landed. 15 attacks would be 180 total. If you are not evil, and using +5 weapon you bypass their DR.

PLed lyn but 20ft aoo with tentacles, will take that vs Titus if it moves. Ankou must act first though before minions. The GOs have combat reflexes.

Swim:
Success means you may swim at up to half your speed (as a full-round action) or at a quarter of your speed (as a move action).


I don't think you can move, move. I think you can either move or use a full round to go half. I didn't catch that for my turn, so keep your positioning. For future turns though, seems this is what is allowed.


I imagine Giant Squid has to attack closest enemy, O2. Otherwise, if it does not(like you command it), to avoid combat it has to swim under Ankou and then back up. I'm assuming the islands are ground that goes to the floor?

ooc: Re Swim, that is only true if you don't have a swim speed and actually roll swim checks to just move. So yes as far as Titus is concerned (should have left him home...) but not for squid, Ankou, or the octopi. The actions I had in Titus' action line were not correct, I rolled his swim check for a full move at half speed. Note it wouldn't make a difference to take two move actions at quarter speed though.

 The Ankou growls as once again, it seemed that Jayce was one step ahead of him...

 He took the flurry of attacks from the tentacles with a frown, but they seemed unable to get a good grasp on him! He simply evaded their constriction without even trying, swam below one and emerged next to Jayce.
  "You won't get out of here unscratched, I promise that at least..."

 The giant Ankou has drawn a weapon, the lower half of his body is out of the water as he strikes Jayce with divine precision, landing a cruel and precise blow that drains life from the small human, but not nearly enough to drop him...

 Meanwhile the Squid has dived deep and attacks the Octopus closest to Ankou, dragging it far below the surface.

 Titus moves to the island.

OOC: I'm not sure why Squid would need to attack O2; without orders to do anything else, it seems like it would attack the most immediate threat to he who summoned him. If that logic doesn't hold water, I can reroll for a full-attack vs O2

 By my count, Ankou provokes 1 aoo from each octopus, Squid provokes 1 aoo from O2, Titus provokes 1 aoo from O1, that sound correct?

 I need to move on to Josep, but I think I updated everything.

I don't recall you casting freedom of movement. Lol I saw you use quickened summon nature's ally, standared transform, move swim. As far as I can see, this turn failed.

On this turn just shows you move, draw weapon, true strike and attack. So, how did you start with freedom of movement? I don't see a ring in your gear list but, meh, ok. Give me a bit to roll aoo.

Bonus Cap:
Regardless of all other rules, the total accumulative bonus you can have to any d20 roll cannot exceed 10 + twice your level/HD. In addition, any DC you create or have cannot exceed 20 + twice your level/HD. (This includes your AC, CMD, etc.) If you select a combination of feats, spells, magic items, etc. that exceed these numbers, you simply cap out at these bonuses and may want to reconsider your selection.


15x2 +10 = 40. You cannot exceed d20+40 on any roll. Please refrain from doing so in the future. I'll not ask for any foul because even with a 2 you would hit my ac. ;)



AOO Stuff:



16:18, Today: Jayce the Tamer rolled 7 using 1d4+3 with rolls of 4.  Damage vs titus.

16:18, Today: Jayce the Tamer rolled 26,28 using D20+13,d20+21 with rolls of 13,7.  Aoo vs Titus and grapple ch eck.

16:17, Today: Jayce the Tamer rolled 24,5 using D20+13,1d4+3 with rolls of 11,2.  Aoo vs squid.

17:12, Today: Jayce the Tamer rolled 11,9,11 using 1d8+7,1d8+7,1d8+7 with rolls of 4,2,4.  damage from AoOs vs ankou.

17:11, Today: Jayce the Tamer rolled 36,28,34,14,21,20 using d20+17,d20+17,d20+17,d20+11,d20+11,d20+11 with rolls of 19,11,17,3,10,9.  AoO vs Ankou bite, bite, bite, poison, poison, poison...without reroll 1s.

I rolled my AoOs on my phone, not sure how I selected reroll 1s first time, sorry.

Titus 7 damage, Ankou 31 damage, Squid 5 damage.

Minions:
Animal companions, familiars, cohorts, special mounts, eidolons and summoned creatures are allowed but not hirelings, followers or purchased creatures. You begin each battle adjacent to your minions. You must list your minions' locations and stats in your first combat post! You cannot start the match with a creature already summoned (except an eidolon). When a summoned creature enters the match, just post the monster name, location on map, link to their stats in the online SRD bestiary and their current HP, buffs and debuffs right below the link.
     Treat Augment Summoning and similar effects as buffs. Minions mindlessly attack the nearest enemy unless you tell them to do otherwise (must be able to communicate with you somehow by speech, sign language or telepathy). If you lose communication, even for 1 round, they begin attacking once again. Your minions continue the match, even while you're down. If you are downed but your minion wins the match, this is a draw. Minions do not count in reward calculations, as they are part of their master's CR.
     You can have a maximum HD worth of minions on the field equal to your HD * 4, no one of which can have a CR exceed your own - 2 (not even cohorts). If you conjure more, your previous minions are instantly removed from play (utterly destroyed) and replaced by the new ones. This limit supersedes RAW.
     Creatures with 2 or less Int cannot perform complex tactics and can only perform actions based on tricks (see Handle Animal). Assume minions know all tricks but a successful check is needed to command them (otherwise they do default behavior instead). Animals, magical beasts and plants with 2 or less Int require a Handle Animal check while all other creatures require a Use Magic Device check (even if no item was used to summon them). Creatures without hands cannot use complex tools or devices including scrolls, potions, or similar effects unless exclusively noted otherwise in their description.



All my angels have intelligence and can be communicated with as a free action. However, I also only had one opponent before. So I didn't really need to direct my minions in previous matches. As it stands, Squid must attack O2, O1 is going to roll randomly between you(or I'll just split attacks, half titus half ankou?) and titus and O3 is going to attack Ankou.


SO, before I take my turn(so no retcons) lets go ahead and fix your turn. Fixing your turn, negates 5 aoo from Squid unless you do in fact use a Move action to direct it.

 Good call on the bonus cap. Sad thing for True Strike though... We should cap AC/SR in the same way.

 Right again on the Squid's actions. Let's keep the rolls. It stays where it is, attacks O2, fails.
