Duel #225: Josep vs. Igar

Boadicea:
Igar-Kruk:
Josep Gavinho:
Josep Gavinho challenges Igar-Kruk to a bizarre duel.
  Match Type: PvP
BP/Hero Limit: No Limit BP / standard 3 hero point limit
      Referee: Boadicea

Participant 1: Josep Gavinho, augmented Human, Wizard (16)
Participant 2: Igar-Kruk, Gnoll, Barbarian/Monk (6)
          Map: Small Colosseum
     Lighting: Standard
      Terrain: Standard
        Walls: Standard
         Prep: 0
       Extras: Hidden on the Map;
Josep cannot attack Igar-Kruk (see invisibility spell for what constitutes an attack)
Only Josep’s Familiar can attack Igar-Kruk.
If Josep’s familiar is killed, Josep will yield (without penalty to either party)
Limitation on crafting items don’t apply (as I’m not changing Josep’s build)

ooc: I wanted to claim a record for weirdest duel, but then I remembered Ugrim once had a who-can-stay-the-longest in a lava jacuzzi duel ;)

Igar-Kruk accept.

OOC : I can think of weirder ideas.

Boadicea accepts referee duty

Duel #225: Josep vs. Igar

Josep appeared in his favourite corner and waved to the crowd.
He also nodded to the ref and commented to her:
« I can’t believe you’re still ahead of me in battle points... and this is not going to improve things for me!! »

Turning to his opponent, a newcomer to the arena and a brave one at that, he
« Some will call you a fool to face me in the arena... some will call you a coward for facing a flightless bird... I personally think you are simply doing a clever debut. Don’t expect me to go easy though. »

Josep looked down on Do the dodo, a pathetic creature indeed, whom he had never used for anything really. He sometimes wished he had a smart familiar like Svog...
« Let’s make something of you, lest you die before it even begins... »

Do kwacked, and Josep cast two powerful spells in sudden succession.

The flightless bird turned into a draconian creature, an otherworldly monstrosity of scales and fangs and teeth, dark as the night and large as an elephant.

Re: Duel #225: Josep vs. Igar

Igar-Kruk did not understand a single word Josep said, but from the tone assumed it was some form of taunting. Probably. Looking over the weird walking dinner turned into a an obscenely large scaly dragon, the Gnoll just sighed. This would suck mightily, but at least the reward for getting pounded into the dirt by Do the Dodo was probably worth his bruised ego. And his bruised everything else.

So with resignation he lept foward, fast like greased lightning and lept at the dragon with a powerful if sloppy flying kick. too bad the Dodoragon didn't seem to register it in the slightest.

Josep looked up to  Do and commanded:

Do wasn’t too sure how to do it, but tried nonetheless. He took a deep breath and spit towards the Gnoll. A mighty thunderbolt hit him with strength.

Re: Duel #225: Josep vs. Igar

The lightning breath envelopped Igar-Kruk, who twitched and yelped as his fur stood on end, making it look like the gnoll was blowing himself up like a puffer fish. As his fists and kicks continued to harmlessly deflect off the DoDoragon's scales, the gnoll longed only for this humiliation to finally end.

Josep knew that he’d be better off with one precise strike.
Somehow though, the bird managed to mess that.
