Re: OOC Discussion 9

Downloaded reading threw the rule book now.  Actions and feats definitely changed, I like the race feats.

Re: OOC Discussion 9

In reply to Boadicea (msg # 28):

I know right? I'm conflicted about the whole "you don't start with all your racial feats but you get them as you level up" but I love the customization and goblins are now a base race and half-orcs and half-elves are no longer races at all but human racial feats (that don't stack).

I always hated that hybrids were a race. They shouldn't be and I've always wanted goblins and orcs to be base races. So, overall, great improvement so far on races.

Dislike PROFICIENCY though. Well-balanced but weird. I dislike that my level 20 barbarian with 8 Intelligence has +17 Arcana for some reason and my level 20 wizard with 8 Strength has +17 Athletics while in an anti-magic field. If you can suspend your belief around that it's okay but I really dislike it. Same reason I criticized D&D 4e's skills.

Submit your characters by replying to your RTJ PM. We have only 1 so far. 2nd-5th place XP is still waiting to be claimed.

Re: OOC Discussion 9

I’ve been reading PF2 a lot. Very excited.
Spellcasters have been nerfed down (finally!)
Even nerfed down though, I’ll still play the resident wizard ;)

Who’s getting ready for the first PF2 duel?

Re: OOC Discussion 9

Josep Gavinho:
We should do this again some time.

Maybe when i have enough achievements to keep my current build and enough BP to pay for it. At the very least, i'll need three source books to stay an antipaladin, be a grave knight, and have my source severance scroll ready for you so even at lvl 13, i'll need to pay BP as though i'm lvl 18. (cause three source books and a +2 CL).
Granted we can just waive that fee if we wanted and i also don't see anything on the official rules site stating that's what you need to do but i doubt it will remain that way for long.

Re: OOC Discussion 9

oh my go, we're finally free.

so anyways, i need more achievements so Latro will now be reffing any and all matches he can. Please start trying to kill each other again so can become a sensei and keep using my monster templates.

now excuse me while i delve back through every match ever to see if i was a ref or not so i can take a proper catalogue of things.

I wonder if PF2 reffing counts towards it if so once that elf spell thrower and I are ready we will need a ref.

Re: OOC Discussion 9

Quick question whoever wants to answer directed more towards GM:

We going to use symbols to show what our actions are?

<>, >}, ]]

Seems like a nice and clean way to identify which of your three actions you are using.

Boa, I didn’t use 2 HP in the duel with Latro. Juste the one. I actually had only one in store. And yes, we managed to finish well within the 48h timeframe.

Re: OOC Discussion 9

Ok, so with the new 3 action system if I am reading the symbols right I can Sudden Charge (pretty much Charge) and spend my last action on another attack?

Am I reading that right?

Round 1 wasn’t a hero point, it was from the champion belt.

Still a hero point used, guess I could have specified it was a temporary hero point.

GM Arkrim:
All requests and reports go into the reports thread, not the OOC.

I'm deleting and ignoring all requests and reports that show up in the OOC.

The reports thread has been around for months now. No excuses folks.

my apologize, i thought for certain I was posting those in the reports thread. i guess i was super tired when i was posting.
I'll get those in the proper thread when i have a moment.

Hi ! It's been a while and I still haven't taken the proper time to fill out my sheet.
I need to do a bit more reading through the magic section still. Getting there though.

Re: OOC Discussion 9

I like what they did with magic items.
And conditions generally.
And TAC, and the shield action.
And perception and initiative.

I’m not sure they’ve simplified the game though...
I probably wouldn’t introduce my non-gamer friends to RP with PF2
But I would certainly petition my already gaming friends to switch to it.
