[Private to GM: 16:24, Today: Melina rolled 19 using 1d20+1. Grapple. Raiel should be ashamed of hre rself for missing her grab with ++3 bonus for dex and Melina has no bouus--Ah well just the luck of the roll.]

Melina drags Verith along woth her unless the woman actively resists, then she lets the bracelt go and commands the woman to.  grabes at the collar on Nagdas's neck.  "Be still. Magda Sedai, I will releaseyou," she says in the common tougue.  She uses the weave they had all learned to open the collar any remove it.  her hood falls  wiith all her activity  Bright golden red hair tumbles down Melinds shoulders.

Re: Act 1; Falme
A'dam open by touching them in a specific way at specific locations, nto through channeling.  I believe that at a later time in the novels one of the female heroines (I forget which one... and frankly a lot of the characters on those books are interchangeable anyway) invents a new weave designed to release the lock at long range, but that hasn't happened yet.

The woman is not so quick top dodge Melina's efforts, and she grabs a-hold of the line near the collar.

NEXT ROUND: Everybody roll initiative.

Raiel whirls her spear and strikes at the Suldam with her spear.  She is trying to keep the Suldam busy saving her own life and not forceing Magda to attack them.

Re: Act 1; Falme
The Sul'dam cries out in pain as Rai'el's spear sinks into her shoulder.  Magda grunts in pain as well.

Magda Sedai herself grimaces, and turns towards her captor.  She grits her teeth in visible discomfort, and the woman is very suddenly encapsulated head to toe in an opaque block of what /looks/ like granite.  She says to no one in particular, "Remove this thing or she will use it to kill me."

Azara: you're up.

Azara continues to feed the One Power to Darek, unless there is a problem and then she will break and use her own weaves.

Re: Act 1; Falme
The seargeant and his man look momentarillys tunned by this turn of events.  The leader makes  a curt gesture, and 3 of his men turn back to engage Rai'el and Melina, whilst he and the remaining three charge the most obvious threat: the man shooting fireballs out of his hands.

Most of the soldiers miss, but against the press of numbers, the party is not invulnerable.  Darek is struk twice, as the leader and his soldiers move to flank him.  Rai'el is struck once, a luck blow that opens a gash on her upper thigh.

Darek, take 13 points of slashing damage.  Rai'el, take 5.

It is difficult to see what the Sul'dam does, if anything,b eing as she is encased, but Magda Sedai falls to her knees with a look of obvious pain on her face (though she manages, barely, to refrain from screaming).  Those who can see the one power, see the glow of Saidar fade from around her.

The Sul'dam uses the A'dam to force Magda Sedai to release the source (although the False Wall weave remains as it is tied off).  She also uses its ability to incapacitate through pain to deal Magda Sedai nonlethal damage and force her to make will saves to take actions.

Darek and Melina.

Re: Act 1; Falme
One moment, Darek was channeling, the next two sword slashes had ripped into him and sent him into unconsciousness. He did his best to fight it, knowing if any of them went down, it was liekly to be the last time they would this world in this Age.

OOC

13 damage sends Derek to -5 HP and failed stabilize roll, unless I'm missing something. :)

Re: Act 1; Falme

If Azara gets to use her held action as Darek drops, She will weave Healing not taking the time to delve which would take to much time, then she draws her sword and hold it up to protect Darek from further strikes.

Re: Act 1; Falme
I believe that is correct, Darek.  Melina could ahv ehealed you.  Or you could ahve ahd something else up your sleave.  If there is one thing I have learned it is that no matter hwo clever you think you are, you should never underestimate the ability of the players to have something up their sleaves.

Azara, what levle are you casting fireball at?  Take note that Darek is fallen only 1 sqaure away, so an area of effect attack stands a good chance of killing him as well as his attackers unless properly positioned.  The most you could manage would  a third level fireball if you wish to catch Darek's attackers and NOT any member of the party.

Melina unclasps the collar, and and Magda Sedai sighs with relief.

Raiel strikes the nearest Soldier to her.  THe Suldam was down. Melina had released Magda.  Now she had to keep the soldiers away from Melina and the others.

Re: Act 1; Falme

Azara sizes up the situation, if she or Darek are not directly threatened she would take the minute to weave Healing at 2 level, but if danger is close, she will do heal at Level 1
[Private to Fernandes:
20:57, Today: Azara rolled 10+2=12 using 2d8. For a Healing Lvl 2.
20:57, Today: Azara rolled 4+1=5 using 1d8. For a Healing Lvl 1.

Re: Act 1; Falme
There are several enemies bearind donw on you, so it is not really popssible o spend a minute on the higher level healing weave.

Darek regains 5 hit points.

After Rai'el attacks Magda Sedai drags herself to her feat and turns on enemy leader.  he too is suddenly encased in a power-wrote block of simualted granite.

That brings it back, in fact, to Azara's turn again.

Re: Act 1; Falme

If there is a group of the enemy she can get in one blast she will weave the One Power into a Fireball.  If not she will Weave Blade of Fire on her sword and attack the any one close enough to attack Darek or herself.

As before, you can catch 3 enemies in a level 3 fireball (dealing 3d6+2 damge with a save versus reflex for half damage).  Is this the plan?

Re: Act 1; Falme
In the intersts of speeding things along, I will roll damage for her.

Two of the soldiers die on the spot, incinerated.  One of them leaps aside, and dodge the worst fo the blast, but appears badly injured nonetheless.

The remaining one rushes her and attacks, but, hampered by his injuries he fails to land a blow.

Meanwhile, the seargent and two of his surviving underlings sqaure off against Melina and Rai'el.  They attack viciously, hoping to end the battle quickly before the channelers in the party can incinerate or suffocate them all, but alas, luck is not with them, and their attacks are easilly dodged and parried.

<darkgreen>Not a single one of the soldiers hits.  There are 3 soldiers stilla ctive (1 fighting Azara, 2 fighting Rai'el, Melina, and Magda Sedai, plus the leader.  The other ones are dead or encaced in mock-stone.  The Sul'dam, also trapped, does nothing.

It is back to Darek (at 0 hit points if I am not mistaken) and Melina.</green>
