Re: 5.2 White Tower
Jennor looked to Hadara Sedai, awaiting her reply to Thayna, before adding, "If Master Lee is disinclined to speak with the approaching Whitecloaks, perhaps I ought to do so?  Not that I'm any more partial to their ilk, but perhaps I can hide my distain for them a bit better.

Also both Bren and Alecho, as fully trained & experienced Warders, are more apt to be potentially spotted for what they truly are should they take the lead to speak with the Whitecloaks.

Whereas I am not yet Bonded or fully trained, and thus I should not be at risk of "giving myself away" as I am not in truth a Warder.  Do you agree Mistress Hadara?

Also on that note, I know you are Mistress Hadara Rennkin... but by what names should identify Thayna and Nerissa?  What are the stories you three have settled upon and do I explain that the rest of us are in Lord Draconholt's service assigned to guard the coach?"

... but by what names should identify Thayna and Nerissa?  What are the stories you three have settled upon?..."

Nerissa smiled and responded, "Thayna and I will tell the truth, that we are members of merchant families, looking out for new people and places, with and in which we may expand our business.

We will say little or nothing outside of the basic facts, but can expand upon our ideas for business opportunities!"

Re: 5.2 White Tower
Thayna thought carefully. Hadara, she was sure was testing then yet again.  She had noticed the trend of her questions.  so she thought as the others responded.  then finally they the had finished she spoke up.  of the guards, Alecho stays with you, Bren is senior and knows about lord Draconholt and as leader he would assign am underling to make first contact. So the one to be sent is Talis or Jennor. Of Nerissa and I I would say that I do most likely have the more experience. Thayna finished her summation and resisted stare at Hadara Sedai as if wondering if she had said enough or too much. .

Talis sighs softly and looks towards the group and says softly, "They are heading for us. I suggest you figure out what to do and fast. Won't be long till they are upon us." He then goes back to his post. Watching for other signs of trouble other than whitecloaks.

"You seemed to have worked it out well enough. so Thayna you will speak for us if they get this far,  and Jennor you will go speak to them and ask if they no of any problems ahead on the road to Four Kings. I will be bilious, having eaten something that did not agree with me. I can groan most convincingly."

Jennor nodded his head and then urged his mount to move forward, riding ahead of the coach and its accompanying riders.  As he approached the Whitecloaks, Jennor smiled as he raised a hand palm outward and waved to the approaching Whitecloaks.

In a calm, friendly tone, Jennor called out, {Common (Midlands)} "Greetings good Sirs and well-met under The Light!

My good Sirs, if I may impose upon your valuable time I would beg a word with you regarding the conditions of the road ahead.  I would thank you kindly for taking the time to speak with me."

Talis continues his vigulance as Jennor approaches the whitecloaks. He carefully scans the area closely, taking care to study each detail of the terrain as he looks for anything out of the ordinary.

As Jennor approached the trio at a leisurely pace and again waved (open, empty palm outward) in a non-threatening manner, he repeated his earlier hail in the same calm, friendly tone, {Common (Midlands)} "Greetings good Sirs and well-met under The Light!

My good Sirs, if I may impose upon your valuable time I would beg a word with you regarding the conditions of the road ahead.  I thank you kindly for taking the time to speak with me."

Jennor
Then officer in change look Jennor up and down for a moment as if he was trying to decide if you were worth his notice. One of his under officers speaks quietly to him and then ne seems to take more notice. What do you want to know? Are you escorting] Lord Draconholt," he asks. His tone flat and almost disregarding you as beneath his notice, but his intent star at the distant carriage belies his seeming disinterest.

In the carriage

Hadara Sedai looks at her two charges, a gleam in her eye. Thayna, being Domani, I know you have been trained by your female relatives in captivating men and you, Nerissa, being Ath'an'mere have learned from as early how to command men openly as ell as  behind their backs. If these Whitecloaks decide to come here then I want you to act like two misses too much interested in men.

Nerissa wasn't sure to believe what her ears were telling her, "I beg your pardon, Hadara Sedai.

You wish that we discuss men openly so that the Whitecloaks think that's all we think about?"

She gives a very uncharacteristic grin to Thayna, "I will follow your lead. However, these Whitecloaks can not know much of Atha'an Miere culture. Women in our culture may offer a new perspective to these Whitecloaks."

Jennor smiled pleasantly as he replied in a friendly tone, "Greetings Sir, I was inquiring as to the condition of the road ahead.  My charges are making their way to Four Kings and I thought it prudent to inquire if there were any known problems our party should be aware of?  It often pays to be prepared and I was certain that respected members of the Children of the Light would be able to lend assistance through shared knowledge if there was anything to  be made aware of.

As for His Lordship, he is actually not traveling with this particular party in person.  Rather a small party made up of scions of respected merchant families have been graciously lent the use of one of Lord Draconholt's carriages to make this journey.  His Lordship instructed a small retinue of those of us in his service to provide escort while the remainder of his servants stayed with his lordship."

Hardara Sedai watches as Nerissa and Thayna exchanged glances. W"e use what tools we have. I am sure that you two have discussed men  before. Especially, with Damodred out is the Warder-in-Training yard. I certainly have." Hadara said, then quickly added. "We use what tools we have or whatever is close at hand."

Re: 5.2 White Tower
The White cloak officer in charge of this troop, has had more trouble with teh Queen's forces than any other problems but that would not stop him from telling things he wanted to tell.

"There are always problems with those who do not walk in the Light They are many and dangerous.  However we Whitecloaks are dedicated to p protecting others who do and discovering those who serve the Dark One. You mist  point.  The Queen does not let us patrol as we ought too be allowed to do.  One can wonder why not." The lieutenant waa please with his discourse. "Is Lord Draconholt with the carriage.  I would speak to him if her is. Perhaps he could bring up a few points for the lord to think about.

Re: 5.2 White Tower
Jennor looked a bit embarrassed as he said in a respectful tone, "My apologies Sir, I should have been clearer earlier... regretfully His Lordship is not traveling with us at the moment.  He has sent this carriage on with a portion of his servants to act as escort.  However His Lordship himself has remained behind in town to oversee some business, in particular I believe he was finalizing some issues regarding provisioning shipments from town to his estate... though I could be mistaken about the exact nature of His Lordship's business in town.

Though certainly Sir, I would be only too happy to pass on your name and your stated desire to speak with His Lordship when next I see him.

As for Her Majesty's decision regarding the restrictions on the ability of the Children of the Light to patrol the roads... well Sir, I do not know what to say or think.  Indeed it is not my place to do either for such high circles of power are way above the station of a humble servant.  I can only say that I share your concern about those who do not walk in the Light and I am grateful for any protection from those who serve the Dark One.

Speaking of such dangers, have you seen or heard of any such dangerous people threatening honest travelers upon this road?  Though no doubt should such evil catch sight of you and your fellow Children of the Light, they would certainly flee in fear."

Re: 5.2 White Tower
"Not while I...we are on guard, doing the business of the Whitecloak commanders. Now, I must continue to patrol.  Their is much I must do."  That should indicate to the lowly guard that he had much to so and that he was command by higher ranking officers to do this personally.  This opportunity might stand him is good stead when he finally did speak to Lord Draconholt, himself.
