So the attackers can only come against him one to three at a time, and he is protected from arrows/bolts on either side. The weave uses a level 2 slot like the last one. OOC: I made a boo boo and inadvertently edited the wrong posting. I'll try to restore #282, but the dialogue with Hadara Sedai is now gone... A voice calls out amongst the riders. "What is a matter with you? Take that coach. Get those guardsmen. We want Lord Draconholt, not them." One of the crossbowmen with Talis in his sights fires, another at on Jennor the arrow bounces off nothingness. one arrow skittered along the surface of that same nothingness. There were varied and mingled expletives from the attackers.. when the first voice called out again "Whatever trickery is this is he must be taken." Several follow the unseen barrier and began to round its edge. Round 5 This message was last edited by the GM at 16:28, Thu 09 June 2011.

No wonder they aren't anxious to obey your commands, you remain safely in the background shouting orders while your men lie broken & bloody on the ground around us. Or perhaps they now realize what we here already know... you're a damn fool and an idiot to boot! You want Lord Draconholt? Well then you're only several MILES away from grabbing him! Just because a coach has a crest on it, only a moron automatically assumes that the lord is riding in that carriage. You could, but WON'T, take this carriage and everyone with it... and you'd still be totally empty handed as far as Lord Draconholt is concerned!" OOC: I assume the barrier prevents us from attacking outwards as well as them attacking inwards?

The riders at the barrier turn away not sure what is holding them back. In doing so they foul up the riders behind them. Those on the flanks move out along the barrier, though some have pulled back not liking what has happened, unsure of what to do. One calls out This is Aes Sedai work. I am not fighting Aes Sedai. "Shut up," a burly sergeant yells "Do what your were ordered to." Those in the coach make listen rolls DC 21 to hear any part of that.

Nerissa observed a few of attackers moving along the two barriers towards the opening between them, probably to try to attack. She smiled a grim smile and cast "Turn the Earth", recently learned from Hadara Sedai, just outside the opening between the barriers. As linked with Thayna, Nerissa cast a weave at about the same level that Hadara had cast when she cleared out the trench (see HS msg#878 in that posting).

Voices were raise up over the f turmoil of men and animals. "This is Aes Sedai work." "No one said nothing about any Aes Sedai in this." "Shut Up, Do what you were paid to." I didn't get paid enough to face Aes Sedai and with that about half the group in ones, twos and threes peeled away and lit out. A couple of horse went down floundering with the upheaval of the ground. riders were thrown and invading troop was rapidly disintegrating. One one who had been yelling the orders turned as well and lit out after that it was an complete withdrawal except for the few thrown or dismounted riders.. one lay at the point of Alecho's sword that was pressed oh so firmly against the downed man's chest.

"Who dares to interfere in Aes Sedai business. Cease and Desist, Lay down your arms and you will live NOW, I say." Some did; others on horses still, bolted as soon as they recovered their senses. This message was last edited by the GM at 22:31, Thu 16 June 2011.

However, just in case Hadara should come under some sort of attack, Nerissa looked out of the window for any suspicious activity. Nerissa din Nelyn rolled 18 using 1d20+7. listen. rolled 27 using 1d20+7. spot. This message was last edited by the player at 18:23, Thu 16 June 2011.

Jennor said in a coolly confident tone, "You will find nothing here but your own deaths... and painful deaths at that. A man may fight for pay... but no amount of coin is ever sufficient payment for throwing your lives away. And all for nothing, for whatever you seek is not to be found in the carriage. Leave now and pester us no further... only the Dark One will profit from your futile deaths, do you truly wish to join the legions of the Lord of the Grave?"

Where were you hired, in which town, how far from here? Also did this Captain Averi wear any identifiable coat-of-arms? If so, what was the sigil?" OOC: Does the name Captain Averi ring any bells?

Nerissa and Thayna you can see to out wounded and any others that may not make it as far as Caemlyn. Once on the road again, it was a odd procession. The coach and it guards who mostly guarded the bound prisoners. Bren finally returned to the group shortly after they started off. His tale was short and to the point==not a man of many words. Those that were lightly wounded were bound and tied to their horses first. Those with greater wounds were healed first, then bound and tied. Hadara Sedai would not find the two would-be Aes Sedai making any errors on the way to the White Tower.

Jennor was disappointed that he was unable to get more information out of the bandits but he figured it would be awhile before they were tempted to take on an unknown opponent in the future. Once his wounds were seen to, Jennor helped to prepare & secure the prisoners for travel. After that was done, Jennor mounted his horse again and prepared to press onwards in escort of the carriage. Jennor felt a slight sense of relief when Bren returned to the group, though he was curious where the older Warder had been during the ambush. But Jennor knew better than to inquire, if Hadara Sedai was satisfied with Bren's brief report then that would have to do for Jennor as well.

"We will be staying at the Queen's Blessing, if you need any more information, today at least and until tomorrow or whenever we catch a ship sailing to Tar Valon. Having given them her name the coach continues to a well set up Inn. The Queen's Blessing was a well maintained inn and seemed fairly busy even in this early afternoon hour. The stablemen responded quickly to the emblazoned coach stopping in the inn's yard. one boy opened the coach door and let down the steps. Hadara Sedai lead the way out. "I will bespeak us accommodations here. I often stay here while I am traveling."
