Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

Silvermasque (highly mobile 'borg)
Comartin (Glitterboy pilot)
Signal (Psi-ghost)
Thasha (Greot infantry)
NaWa (Psi-stalker on a dinosaur)
Jack (he's a freakin' dragon)
Local #1 (?)

 ---

Once 'Masque has the small group drawn back a way - not for privacy but just so that they can converse more easily - he settles down on a fallen hunk of structural support that groans under his mass and addresses the small squad "We will be doing patrol work to begin, is fair enough. But if is being trouble we will be needing to move fast and I am not being sure what our vehicle strength is. When we are knowing we can work out marching order."

"We are having, between Comartin and myself good sensors and Na-Wa can sense magic, demons and suchlike so I am not expecting we shall miss much, but do not be thinking sensors can do all work. Is nothing beats eyeball with good brain behind it, youbet, particularly since we may need to spread out. I will be making sure everyone is having map and is knowing how to get back if is split up." he goes on to add, not having been provided with a lot of the necessary information himself yet but wanting to shape things out for the nascent patrol so that any ideas they might have can be voiced when it's still soon enough for them to do some good.

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

She walked stiffly over to Silvermasque, he couldn't be missed, even in the crowd of strange beings such as Pluto Company. Spotting right away that he is a mercenary, her stance shifts to a more relaxed 'I don't have to do shit for you asshole' sort of stance.

"I've been assigned to your command, as I know the area here. Name is Sergeant Matty Settle. I am primarily infantry. I do not know magic or psionic powers, but I have my own natural abilities I was born with. Still, I am infantry. I own a hovercycle if required. I also volunteer for point... makes sense, since I'm supposed to give you the grand tour anyway..."

Matty looked at the others as the squad gathered. They aren't as bad as she was expecting... and she gives a slight nod of approval as she scans the group.

Almost on queue with the radio transmission, The Major's aide jogs over and hesitates for a moment while he decides if he is supposed to salute Silvermasque or not... in the end of the very short moment, he decides to salute, as it can't hurt.

"Silvermasque sir, I have a map of the area for you. It can be downloaded to a PC, or maybe one of your cybernetics...? It includes all known CS routes, as well as any rivers, valleys, ruins, abandoned posts etc. The Major sends his regards. With your permission sir, I have to drop this off for Sergeant Pierce as well."

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

Jack, of course, was a mercenary so he looked as relaxed as Settle but in a different way. Just because he didn't salute didn't mean he didn't follow orders or couldn't respect others. He grinned at the effiminete-looking man with natural powers. He really wanted to say something using the last name as a joke but refrained since Settle had just arrived.

He looked at Silvermasque. "Don't have a ride, but then I don't really need one. I think Na-Wa's baby is too skittish for me to ride on likely, even if he allowed me to. But it you want aerial recon, I can do that, though I'll have to be invisible so as to not be a devastatingly gorgeous and large target." He chuckled a bit at the mock-vanity.

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

Signal follows the group, and while they are talking over logistics he chimes in with, "I'm better than fair with surveillance equipment, but since that is covered I will make a good pair of extra eyes. I have no transport. I... uh... tend to wreck them, so I will need a ride." Signal looks down as he says the last part with a bit of a smirk on his face. He remembers learning to drive as a kid, and getting scared more than a couple of times and dropping right out of the vehicle and watching it crash and then he remembers how viable of a tactic that has been for him when the time for stealth was over.

After reliving a few of his fond memories, he realizes that if he spent more time learning how to drive and keeping a vehicle he would probably me much more useful right now. While the others continue to talk he zones out a bit as he thinks to himself, 'I know signing up was the right thing to do but can I really contribute? So many wounded and I can't heal, under ranged attack and I can't defend another or strike back at that range, even routine patrols I am dependent on someone else. Even the others who have mental or magical powers are able to contribute but mine are so selfishly focused, which has kept me alive so far, but this is what I wanted, out of my element and helping any way I can. I will learn more in a week here than a year doing the same old stuff. Keep your head down and sooner or latter you will be useful.' He shakes his head a bit, to cast the thoughts of self doubt out and looks back up to listen more intently.

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

A certain amount of challenge from a newly assigned subordinate with plenty of experience from their own is entirely to be expected, and 'Masque no more acknowledges it than he does the fact that not everyone is in uniform, instead taking a deep draw on his cigar as he nods back to Settle, "Point will likely be switching out fair bit, but hovercycle could be good. Will add to team's mobility, and I am liking that." he rumbles, accepting the data transfer from Leckie to his little palmtop PC with one hand while he returns the salute gravely with another, "Khorosho. Granted."

Jack now, Jack's lack of a salute doesn't bother 'Masque one whit since out here in the field that sort of thing can get a man shot at, and if the repeated offer for the dragon to go airborne results in a tip of the heat that would suggest eye-rolling on someone who had eyes, it's at least answered with a warm "You are just not wanting to get boots dirty like rest of us. But like I was saying, best keep low unless we are needing eye in sky. Invisibility is not lasting long, or so I was being told..." - which reply 'Masque pauses as he's about to add to before looking at Signal and inquiring curiously, "If you were having sensor box, could you be picking up signals, sweeping for radar, all that? Am thinking we are having good way to put you into air if Jack is willing and you would not mind riding on back of Dragon..?"
, the big 'merc looking between the two soldiers curiously, breaking off only to beam as Thasha rolls over, slapping the hulking Greot lightly on the shoulder and admonishing to "Shush, you will be making my head swell. But is good to be have your firepower, I am hoping is good way to be moving you around quickly carrying it too."

Signal looks to Settle and smirks a bit. Something seems to impress the angry sergeant. Signal looks as if he forgot something and folds his arms across his chest while he thinks. After a moment a flash goes off and he fumbles out a camera and drops it. he looks a bit embarrassed as he picks it back up and asks, "Anyone not want to be in the group pic? It will make it much easier for me to find you if we get separated."

To Signal he said, "Dive off? Hell, you'll be luckily if I don't drop you or toss you."

He appeared to give it some consideration. "I do not normally care too much being a "mount" for someone, but if is something you think will help, Silvermasque, then I can do so."

To Settle he turned and gave an inclination of his head. "You as well, Segeant Settle."

"Just one I am knowing of... You are surely not suggesting we could be handling more than one?" 'Masque answers good-naturedly, indicating Jack with one hand at Settle's question then turning a grin back the Dragons way and explaining, "I am thinking Signal can maybe carry eavesdropping devices. Should be possible to pick up electronic warfare box somewhere, da? It will be letting us put very, very sneaky eavesdropper up high, plus is making good use of his skills."

Signal now, his question just gets a bright-silver grin and a cheerful, "Just be being sure to be getting my good side, da?" as he makes as though to reach for the belt-and-butt-plate of his armour then stops before the gesture is actually completed.

She didn't have to go far for her hovercycle, but she now has it and is ready to lead the way, south east.

"It's mostly flatlands. There is a pretty large mud-field about 3 miles from here. One of the earlier battles was fought there... thousands of missiles, and all sorts of carnage has tossed up the soil for a mile in every direction. Most of the bodies were cleared away, except for some of the demonic, and giants... It is probably better if we go around this patch."

Am also thinking blanket to sit on would be good idea." 'Masque replies to Signals query, before he listens to Settle's explanation, taking it in what looks like a rather uncomfortable fashion but nodding when it's done and stating "So even if is no bad guys, is likely to be unexploded munitions, drop-mines and untriggered magical horrors all over place, plus scavengers, da?", then shrugging and grumbling "Nichevo... And the blanket comment brought his eyes up with anger in them. That was a bit insulting. Next they'd be trying to put a saddle on him too! He looked away and out towards the supposed route, keen eyes drinking in the details as he let his anger calm.

Sniff for magic, look for traps on ground. Comartin, you and I are base of fire, stick in middle. Signal, you and Thasha are right behind us, standard patrol pacing. Jack, you are tail-end charley. Would like to see stupid cocky ambusher try and pick you off from back of patrol, youbet." 'Masque hastily orders, going for a short, roughly square marching group with a point and tail rather than trying to spread out all over the map, simply because it lets him keep more of the new team in his sensory range at once.

Settle and Na-Wa led the way on what would hopefully be an uneventful day where nobody gets killed. The land is flatlands, and small hills for the first 3 miles. The old battle field Settle mentioned before didn't do it justice at all. The ground is thick, brown mud for a mile or two in each direction. There are hills, craters, and unrecognizable structures scattered about, as well as busted up Coalition robots and skelebots.

As Settle mentioned earlier, most of the bodies have been cleared away. It seems the demons, and daemonix as well as larger beings like dragons, and even some cyborgs have been left behind, half-covered in dirt and sludge. A pack of ghouls a few hundred feet away stand up from some corpse they were feasting on, and flee into an old trench.

Said tail flickers from time to time in a sinuous, cybermechanical fashion and it's fairly obvious that there's a slender charged weapon of some sort built into it, very possibly with micro-manipulators of some sort thrown in for good measure because hell, when you're a 'borg, why not?

As far as 'why not? goes however, that motiff continues to hold as the group moves along at a steady clip, 'Masque serving to keep track on those who can and can't hold to a steady ten miles an hour or so over the long distance (which would be unaugmented humans and the like) and making note of who will need vehicles or other forms of transport on their next run out.

The squad moves slowly and cautiosly into the mud-field and former battle field. A few other packs of ghouls are spotted, but they keep their distance. Just as Settle and Na-Wa are passing a destroyed spider-skull walker, Settle inadvertantly activates a vehicle mine.

The explosion is huge, and appears to completely vaporize her and her hovercycle. Na-Wa is blown off his baby T-Rex into the spider skull walker, which topples and covers him in debris. The T-Rex is frightened and jogs a couple hundred feet away, then stops to eat a rotting demon-carcass.

Settle reappears just 10 feet away, unharmed and runs to help lift the debris off of Na-Wa.

Signal falls into his place without much to say after the earlier exchange. He keeps the pace of the group with little effort and gets just a bit too complacent until they reach the mud field.

Once in the mud field his silhouette seems to almost constantly flicker and blur, likes he starts shaking and then stops.

When the explosion goes off he doesn't jump or even dive for cover. He doesn't reach for his weapon or look in the direction of the explosion. Least not at first. Signal's outline once again blurs and he does a quick scan of the area looking for the highest ground in his immediate vicinity. He enters a dead sprint toward the high ground and climbs up. When he reaches the top he stands up right scanning the horizon for any movement.

While looking around at his new vantage point he looks for the first time at the wreckage and sees that some debris had landed on Na-Wa. He flushed a bit as he realized that he hadn't stopped to help but with Settle still alive and helping Na-Wa there was probably little he could do. For once his complete lack of thought for others might have caused him to do the right thing.

For his part, 'Masque's response to the explosion is pure reflex - a cry of "Take cover, Settle see to Na-wa!" and he's moving, dropping into the second nearest piece of good, solid cover from at least one side and tapping Thasha on the shoulder as he goes, indicating the nearest for the Greot to settle down behind, getting into place to lay down fire if there's something other than just an ambush going on, his heavy grenade rifle coming up to sweep the nearby terrain looking for a target.

Na-Wa crawls out of the rubble with the assistance of the Dinosaur Man. "Na-Wa almost got blown up, thank you Dinosaur Man!" It wasn't all that hard for Na-Wa to spot Silonor who was eating. Na-Wa knew that when Silonar was eat he should be left alone. But Na-Wa knew the Big White Metal Cat wanted them to go. Thus Na-Wa carefully snuck up behind Silonar and quickly climbed up his tail and sat down in the saddle. The Silonar tried to toss Na-Wa off but quickly calmed down after being repeatedly punched in the back of the head by Na-Wa.

"Ok Na-Wa ready!"

Glancing down at Signal with the air of someone having a private conversation, 'Masque continues to guide the patrol along and around the expanse of wreckage, visually and mentally tagging particularly promising wrecks and hulks for potential salvage purposes in the days and weeks ahead, and as he walks giving something of an impromptu lecture on basic ambush doctrine "Is being two ways to respond to ambush, but they are exact opposite. If is close, you are charge, lead with grenades. Take your licks from traps and fire but get close, reverse shock with fire and movement while those further back pick targets, supress crew guns. If far, you are take cover, return fire, manoeuvre out to turn tables. We are having teleporters and foxhole charges and all manner of clever tricks. When we are get back from patrol, you can bet ass we shall be drilling this."

The patrol continues unhindered by vehicle mines or other surprise disasters for another hour. The squad is coming up on a creek, which is filled with rich flowing water, and strange pulsating grey rocks. Upon closer inspection the rocks are making moaning sounds, and one of them 'grows' a face to stare at Na-Wa as the psi stalker inspects the life form.

It is mostly open fields on either side of the creek, which runs perpendicular to the travel route. There is a forest ahead about 2 miles away.

"Trees will block thermal sensors just as well as water without getting my boots all wet." replies 'Masque, who doesn't actually wear any and who doesn't actually have to justify his decisions under the circumstances, slinging his launcher as he does so and extending his hands towards Signal and Thasha, indicating for the latter to swing onto his back and wrap arms about his neck, the latter to just get where he can hold him close (awwwwh) before taking off in long, low-to-the-ground leaping strides designed to match or exceed anything Na-Wa's mount can achieve with the intention of getting the hell out of line of sight before a dozen RPA air units flash overhead armed to the teeth.

Oh, and after another pinpoint fix on speed and direction... He shuts his radar down and goes on passive emissions from the incoming flight to keep them locked up.

"Oh for to be crying out... Thasha, hold on!" 'Masque orders unceremoniously, one arm neatly tucking itself around Signal and the other three going out to - unless he makes an effort to evade them, because he's not attacking the Greot, he's trying to pick him up - snag Thasha in a close embrace.

Irregardless of the level of success he achieves he then starts to head for the treeline, soft metallic 'click' sounds marking the opening of tiny, high-pressure jet nodes across various points of his armour as he accelerates, each long, low leap taking him no more than a half-dozen feet off the ground but carrying the burdened tiger ten, then twenty feet and more in steadily greater strides across the countryside, his clawed feet digging in a good foot and more each time they come down to provide the impetus for the next stride.

Within two and a half seconds he's accelerating past sixty miles an hour. Within ten he's up around two hundred and easing off, settling for a 'comfortable' thirty to forty second run to the treeline, allowing for braking at the far end (as opposed to breaking) hopefully with enough time in hand left to seek some sort of reasonable cover.

 ---

They're three minutes out. Assume one round to grab people and accelerate, two to run and one to slow down and drop people off. Cruising speed on a SAM tends to be around a hundred fifty miles an hour, making them around five miles out when 'Masque hits the treeline. Give or take.

As the squad regroups at the treeline, hopefully unseen by the incoming SAMAS patrol, a gorgeous white horse, with a horn on its' forehead is just leaving the forest. The creature nods at Na-Wa, and seems to almost smile, before gracefully trotting by, and out into the open to eat some beautiful green grass.

Naturally, the SAMAS patrol blows it to gory pieces all over the dirt as they pass by overhead.

Dropoff is a fairly robust process, 'Masque decelerating sharply at the edge of the treeline to let Thasha down and then Signal before he ducks into cover, moving a little distance clear of the others before going to ground on the basis that as a large, somewhat warm mass of moving metal he might be detected and engaged... Once down he keeps his radar on passive and monitors the IFF and transponder information available from the SAM suits, doing his best to ID them for future reference, not even grimacing when they break fire discipline to start blasting local wildlife to bloody gobbets.

"Denied Jack. Is being stupid waste, youbet... But is also being bad odds and bad time. Let them fly on, fat and stupid and some day soon we will be wait here with whole lot more firepower, da?" he rumbles softly, concentrating on getting all the information he can about the overflying patrol.

Signal understands Jack's anger. This is how many of his new comrades feel, it is a sentiment he will have to work on developing and more importantly Signal realizes that after they are safe, checking if any pieces of the horn are intact and taking them to sell would be a bad idea.

Signal resolves to not approach the mess unless the others do. He'd rather not have temptation get the better of him. After he makes up his mind he tries to think of something else, and then he gets hungry and can't help but wonder, what does unicorn taste like?

Signal pulls a food bar from his satchel and eats it while he waits in cover for the SAAMS to pass.

There are ones who make demons and devils seem like good company, who will kill without thought, murder without reason. Two things to keep in head though."

"First is that there are many, many of them. Losing temper, listening to anger instead of sense is good way to get self killed. You want to win, hit them on our terms, not theirs. Second is that not all of them are same. Are plenty of jackass murderers on our side, plenty on theirs too. Don't make this war more personal than it has to be, is better to concentrate upon what you are protecting than who you are killing.", a largely philosophical little speech to be sure, but one that he seems to feel is appropriate just now, until the SAMAS patrol is out of line of sight and he fires up his radio.

More or less at Jack, but also at pretty much everyone - 'Masque didn't used to be preachy, but in the few short weeks he's been working with Tolkeen forces he's seen every kind of half-assed, amateur-hour clusterfuck it's possible to imagine perpetrated by beings with the phenominal cosmic power of minor demigods but teeny-tiny mental capacity (and even worse command of the English language than he has). He's overheard demon-torture and executions, witnessed war crimes beyond counting and watched while battle-fatigued men and women turned merely suspicious settlements into hard-line Coalition allies.

He can therefore, perhaps be forgiven for the odd sermon.

"Da. Is point of patrol - see enemy without enemy is seeing you, then report back. All else is being gravy." he remarks, rising cautiously out of cover and turning to look over the group, the corner of his visor keeping track of Na-wa off in the clearing "Is everyone good to move on?"

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

Malefic:
Dressed in a plain grey jumpsuit with a data pad tucked under his arm, Malefic entered the room and quietly sat down in the corner. Bringing up the datapad he glanced up and looked for the members of his new squad. He hadn't seen much action recently and was anxious to get going.

Signal is very nearly un-remarkable in every way. He is not wearing his helmet, which would obscure his face. He walks over to where Malefic is and gives a half smile and a knowing head nod to Malefic. The most remarkable thing about him would be his suit of light armor. It looks nearly untouched, like it's never been hit, and it bristles with a light psionic energy. He carries a satchel over a shoulder that he drops on the ground 2 steps before he gets to where he sits, waiting for the others. On his hip he has a quick draw holster attached to the armor itself. In the holster sits a small pistol.

Signal doesn't say anything, he's had a good night's rest but is still tired. Once he sits down he stretches and yawns, waiting for the others to show up.

Mephisto, can be found on his hover skiff, putting his armor on, while his demon servants feast on some shaved-animal carcasses sent in by Tolkeen for just this purpose.

When Signal approaches he nods, and smiles. When Malefic arrived, it was much more of an introduction. Malefic is treated with respect, and a military salute.

When Malefic is ready, Sgt. Settle approaches. "As I informed Mr. Masque yesterday sir, it's mostly flatlands on the patrol route. There is a pretty large mud-field about 3 miles from here. One of the earlier battles was fought there... thousands of missiles, and all sorts of carnage has tossed up the soil for a mile in every direction... and this rain won't help any. Most of the bodies were cleared away, except for some of the demonic, and giants... It is probably better if we go around this patch. Yesterday we hit a vehicle mine, took out my bike, and nearly me with it."

'Masque squelches slowly over towards the waiting vehicle, his progress slowed somewhat by the tendency of every step he takes to sink about two feet into the deep, sludgy mess that the ground is rapidly turning into under the impact of the rain - and with a bloody great hooded tarpaulin of a poncho draped over his 'battle rattle' in an effort to keep the elements out of all his expensive, robust, field-tested and resilient equipment that in accordance with the laws of universal military procurement, will usually turn out to have been lowest-bid, high maintenance, lab-rated and fragile only an hour into any given patrol.

On the bright side, being Russian, 'Masque is far better adapted to moving around in this sort of weather than most local cyborg frames and compared to the rasputitsa, considers it to be no more than mildly unpleasant, allowing him to cheerfully rumble "We know Coalition is making airborne passes over region too... But I doubt they will achieve much in this weather, so we should be on lookout for skelebot and poor bloody infantry, da." before he squelches over to Disharmony and stands alongside her, sinking an inch or so every minute or two (and moving every five or six to avoid sinking further), offering her a muted "Good morning radost moya."

Upon getting on the skiff Na-Wa tried to make sure he was as far as he could be from the demon taking up most of the space.  When the thing looks at him with a sinister grin Na-Wa responds with hissing and the baring of his teeth. He thinks nothing of the bald headed boss man. Like most boss men before him he would be dead soon. Na-Wa wished he would be with big white cat or the man who wore the big silver armor and sometimes drank too much.

When the patrol gets to the site of the battlefield, Na-Wa starts pointing and various clumps of wreckage and piles of looted bodies. “Bad things there...there...and there. Eating the dead. We kill them yes bald headed bossman?”

'Masque - and this is probably for the best - is on the opposite flank of the patrol from Disharmony and Na-Wa, and so over the falling rain and humming of the grav-platform doesn't seem to be aware of the presence of corpse-eaters just yet. Of all the group, the cyborg dragoness is most likely to know that the usual response of the big Siberian to that sort of thing is a screaming, frothing hail of plasma and particle beams followed by flailing around with the nearest large, blunt object and even if only she's likely to know why, Mephisto at least has seen the resulting carnage more than once now.

Still, he often glances back towards the others, usually while he's waiting for his cyberjet nodes to break the gluey suction of the mud that his landings turn the ground into after every loping stride.

Signal sits lazily in his seat and when the crazy psi-stalker mentioned enemies, Signal reached down into his sack and pulled out a small metal case. The case looks like a toolbox and he lays it across his lap.

Signal continues to sit and just scan the area for any activity. He presses a button on the underside of the handle of his toolbox and a barrel telescopes out from one end and a pistol grip with a trigger drops out the bottom. The back end extends back to form a comfortable looking shoulder rest. Once all the pieces are out the center part collapses down to a much more manageable size.

When signal thinks he sees something, he will occasionally hold up the gun and look through the scope to get a better look, but he never fires or even mentions what he sees.

'Masque has something of a problem with the transit - his flight jets have limited power to shift his massive, two-and-a-half-tonne frame and he needs to land every so often to cycle them down, but he solves this difficulty by making his short, controlled leaps between already-wrecked vehicles, driving their hulls a foot or two down into the mud they cleared with their deaths before landing on the far side with a massive 'squelch' and a short, sharp "Bojmoi!"

"Unidentified supersonic radar contact, bearing oh-one-one, time overhead fifty seconds and counting!" he snaps, instantly looking about for the nearest example of good, solid cover that might take the group.

'Masque on the other hand, has his own solution to the basic problem of where to hide when it's all hitting the fan and as the others head for cover he palms a small packet of something from his battle rattle and leaps short and high, using the momentum to ram the object into the ground.

Backing off he drops to one knee beside Disharmony and holds up a hand to shield himself and two more to extend his poncho's protection to at least part of her before calling "Fire in hole!" and detonating the foxhole charge, wherein a very small amount of Northern Gun composition six goes 'boomph' and it briefly, messily rains mud over the nearby area - completely coating his poncho in the process.

Then it's a simple "In we go!" to the cyborg dragoness, chivying her into the tight quarters of the instant foxhole over which he spreads the ponch quickly, turning it into another muddy patch of dirt that very, very rapidly falls to the same background temperature as everything else.

The engines squeal, and one of them explodes, sending flaming-shrapnel for miles in all directions. One piece ricochets off the skull walker, and another splashes into the mud along with the heavy downpour.

The ground shakes as it is only two or three thousand feet above when it passes over the hiding Tolkeen squad. Na-Wa giggles as he feels it rumble deep in his belly.

It slams into the ground and finally comes to a halt, a mile east of your position. The tremors are enough to feel at this distance. The front end is flattened, and a hundred feet deep into the dirt and mud. The rain quickly douses the flames, and the horizon is quiet again.

Nothing stirs at the crash site...

The squad reaches the crashed vessel in under a minute. There is still no sign of any survivors.

It crashed front-end while flying south east. Your squad will be approaching from the north west, coming up to the rear of the transport.

The transport is still mostly intact. The front end is definitely collapsed, and several feet deep in dirt and mud. The left side, including some of the thrusters near the back have been blown apart by missiles, and some sort of plasma (this is where most of the pieces came from that were flying off the craft as it descended. It's also clear the hull has collapsed, and twisted in several places. There is no way it could fly, but it appears to be a stable structure for now.

*I can move you guys around, just let me know.

The skiff is the only form of cover out here. Until some foxholes are dug...

The shift in directions causes 'Masque to stop moving about forty or fifty feet off the right flank of the main body of the group and go down on one knee, steadying his heavy rifle on-target at the breach in the vessel and checking that it's charged with a magazine of armour-piercing rounds, against the possibility that he might have to suppress turret weapons or pick specific targets out of a group... Once the team starts moving closer, he joins the general advance, remaining out on one flank to prevent the risk of one hit taking out most of the group... And keeping his smoke grenades to hand.

The skin on Disharmony's back split, two engine's rotating out on either side of her midsection. The air filled with the whine of the turbines as air started flowing through the engines. Only a few seconds later Disharmony was rising into the air.

Her vision was filled with the icons of interesting things her sensor array was picking up for the Colaition craft hull. Disharmony thought this was something of a waste of her talent. She was a killer, an assassin, not an airbourne early warning system. "This one sees no sign of activity at the moment."

Signal turns to Malefic, "They're in there. Tolkeen for sure, soldiers I think but might be citizens, or just gear, but definitely  Tolkeen, definitely of value to rescue. I'll head in and check it out, and radio out anything I see." Signal drops his satchel and double checks his pistol is in it's holster. He takes a small toolkit and hops off the skiff, phasing into his spectral form.

Signal, unless told otherwise, heads right for the crashed ship. He doesn't look for an entrance, just right up to the hull. In fact if he sees a door or entrance he stays away from it.

The head of a Coalition Cyborg Shock Trooper peaks around the corner of the hole in the side of the transport, but only for an instant. He tosses three smoke grenades just outside the craft, which stick where they land, thanks to Mephisto's carpets of adhesion. This hole is about 40 feet wide, and 15 feet tall. The interior of this part of the transport appears to be troop quarters.

It is at this time, that Drano and Nuitari report in over the radio with their ETAs.

He reports in over the platoon radio channel, for all to hear "We are going to need that back up quickly Nuitari and Drano. We have a small Coalition squad en route, that should arrive just before you do Nuitari. They have confirmed heavy artillery and are approaching from the East.

We also have confirmed survivors on the transport, at least one so far. We have also discovered they have a prisoner on board, a former spy, named Till Fenson...? We will attempt to locate him. We also found reports of biological weapons on board.

My squad is small. We are attempting to secure the crash site, and engage incoming CS squad. Come with haste."

"We are needing pretty good point defence to weather storm before we can engage, unless mage is having clever trick." he adds, moving by bounds towards whatever cover he can locate while taking full advantage of his wide range of sensory augments.

Squad One can be seen approaching, with the other hover skiff, four hovercycles and Smoke Perkins, their giant cyborg. They slow their approach so as to not spray Squad Two with mud and water.

Lieutenant Nuitari can be seen piloting the skiff, his 3 demons riding along. Lotus is now here on her hovercycle, and they are all accompanied by 4 humanoid Cyber Knights, and some strange creature (possibly another summoned demon of Nuitari's) riding at the back of the skiff).

Nuitari leads them around behind the transport, and circles around so as to not be wide open to incoming fire from the smoking hole in the side of it.

"Leiutenant Malefic, I want you to take Wierzbowski's squad inside the transport. Mephisto and the demons will be joining you as well. Secure any survivors as prisoners if possible. Bob was it? You are staying out here for the fire fight."

Noticing the magic sword Sir Aries draws out... "Sir Aries, I want you with Malefic's team as well."

"Wierzbowski, park your bikes by the smoke bellowing from the side of the ship. Join up with Lieutenant Malefic, you will be going inside the transport."

"Signal, we are sending a team inside the transport. I want you to arrange rescuing that prisoner. You are now on Malefic's squad, coordinate with him and his team."

"Silvermasque, I want you to arrange the others to take out that incoming CS squad. I will be occupied for the next several moments."

Nuitari then instructs his 2 Alu demons to follow Mephisto's orders, as though they were his own. Then his mare is instructed to not take his eyes away from the hole in the transport, and to report any Coalition sightings.

He then begins casting his magic...

I am thinking let them get in closer to crash then enfilade with fire from one flank, then some charge to engage and others pick off flyers..." the big tiger goes on to explain quickly.

'Masque comments while unlimbering his other grenade launcher and going over to fragmentation rounds for both again, adjusting his loadout to suit the situation at hand while Settle and Lotus make the decision of which flank they'll be shooting from for him - and in truth, one is as good as the other.

"Alright people, Bob you are base of fire here along with anyone who is having good counterbattery capacity, everyone else skirmish order along northern flank out to one hundred yards, looking to take Skullboys in flank as they engage Bob. Hold fire until missiles are deployed, first target for heavy units is Hellraiser, light infantry knock out those skycycles as they present. We give them hard volley of fire for fifteen seconds, then close assault and mix it up with them - be warned I will be opening with grenade storm, so no jumping gun, da? when we close, Jack and Disharmony you are to take out air cover." the big tiger orders, setting action to words and bounding northwards to seek cover, confident that the basic shape of the ambush to come - because an ambush it will be if all the Coalition boys are staring at Bob - is about as well-founded as can be hoped for.

'Masque now... 'Masque just grins. Oh sure, Jack's grumbling but if there was a soldier in any army in history who didn't then they kept it a bloody good secret and the fact that he's willing to actually take cover immediately puts the hatchling into the top percentile or so of supernatural creatures the big Russian 'borg has been working with so far.

Hell, even Disharmony has hunkered down when he ordered her to, which wasn't something he was expecting. Hoping for, yes... but not expecting.

And as a bonus, there's Jelme settling into a scrape in the dirt where he, Smoke and anyone else in range can back-and-forth while the Coalition patrol screams in for the 'kill', "In Tolkeen forces, I am so far finding six of one, half a dozen of other. Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

Simultaneously as the first shot zooms between the main squad, and Lotus and Settles position, and slams into the Hellraiser's shoulder, causing it to stumble and knock one of the cycle pilots from his bike -- Sgt. Pierce announces their presence over the radio "We're here".

This is followed by a relentless onslaught of giant rail gun rounds tearing into the Coalition force. The Hellraiser is cut to pieces before the others even begin to retreat. But not before it launches one of its' medium-range missiles toward sqaud two's position, exploding into the hill they are using for cover. The explosion is muffled, and looks like it was just filled with mud, launching into the air and back down all over the squad.

The Chromium Guardsmen do not let up until all of the Terror Troopers are immobile, and laying in a line leading south east. They have gotten skilled at judging the distance necessary to take out certain CS units, and are able to take all five of them out without having to unlock. The hovercycles are too fast however, and with the rain, very difficult to hit...

The pilots are likely still alive in the Hellraiser and both Terror Troopers.

Five minutes pass... Which is just fine by 'Masque, who watches the Coalition force watching them with perfect calm since it's all too easy to get your ass shot off on any given day, making moments in which it's still attached and likely to stay so all the more precious. Then all hell breaks loose of course, Boom Gun slugs slashing downrange to tear massive chunks of armour out of the foe in an entirely gratifying fashion and scatter the enemy before they can recover from the initial shock.

Holding his position for the time being - and with no orders to do otherwise - he continues to cover operations at the transport with his guns levelled until his head perks up and he swings it to look towards Disharmony before speaking up to warn the remainder of the squad "We are having contact. Four minutes and closing from the south-east, Deaths Head class or larger."

The incoming transport is likely filled with SAMs, or the like. It is about to get real messy, real fast.

Malefic, I need you to spare as many from your squad as possible to assist with whatever comes out of the transport."

And then there is the issue of the units climbing out of the hatch, as reported in by Signal...

"Sergeant Pierce, you and Comartin should rejoin your squad as soon as you can."

Second Zero

Silvermasque lands with a thud on top of the transport, and opens fire before anyone else has a chance to react, but misses unfortunately. A small piece of ground near the cyborg is scorched, and smoking from the missed shot.

Disharmony steadied and took careful aim at the cyborgs' head.

Na-Wa is first to charge the juicer once he hopped down from Smoke. He fires a triple-burst at him with his laser pistol while closing the distance to engage with his sword. The juicer spots them coming from behind and springs to his feet, in an attempt to dodge, but is too slow.

Bob circles around the transport, until he can see the cyborg at the back, and fires bolts of lightning from the palm of his hand, but misses.

Mephisto is right behind Bob, now covered in shimmering armor, he continues to cast more of his magic.

Deumos, the Brek Shall demon charges ahead of Mephisto, and passes Bob, on his way to take the cyborg hand to hand.

Smoke Perkins charges forward, pulling out his chainsaw with his left hand, and firing at the juicer with his foerearm rail gun, with his right. Again the juicer is hit, this time knocking him on his back, dropping the missile rifle with the blast of the rail gun.

Second One

~*~

Second Two

Disharmony sends off a particle beam blast for the Cyborgs' face, and just barely makes it. His helmet takes some serious damage, and he staggers back a foot, but he continues fighting on.

The Cyborg steadies and returns fire at Disharmony with his CTT P40 massive laser canon. She narrowly evades the blast, and takes no damage.

A second Cyborg steps out from hiding up against the transport wall, and also fires at Disharmony, with a SAMAS rail gun. He also misses as Disharmony maneuvers the first cyborgs' attempt.

The juicer on top of the transport, now on his feet, draws a pistol and returns fire on the wild psi-stalker, and prepares to engage him hand to hand with his massive vibro claws. Na-Wa attempts to parry with his sword, but is not quite fast enough, and he is hit in the chest, scorching Na-Wa's armor slightly.

A second juicer, reveals himself behind the two cyborgs by the rear of the ship, and opens fire on Disharmony as well, but misses.

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

Second Three

Silvermasque leaps down behind the trio behind the transport, bringing all four of his vibro swords down on top of the first cyborg that revealed himself.

The heavy cybor is caught off guard and collapses under the white tigers' attack. Masque lands his first strike in the absolute perfect spot, destroying the heavy armor in ONE HIT! The damage from the first four simultaneous strikes bleed through, leaving huge gashes in his cyborg body. The blades squeak against metal as they are pulled back out, and Masque prepares to strike again. The 'borg is all but defeated...

Disharmony recovers from the evasive maneuvers, and must ascend, to fly above the battle, to ensure she does not hit her own squad.

Na-Wa slashes and shoots at the same time at the juicer on top of the transport, while making sure to stay out of Smoke Perkins' line of sight. The juicer attempts to dodge, but the wild psi-stalker is too fast.

Na - Wa rolled 15 using 1d20 sword strike +6. = 12
Na - Wa rolled 17 using 1d20 shoot pistol near point blank range +3. = 9
Mike rolled 14 using 1d20+8. juicer dodge (no dodge penalty for projectiles within 10 feet).
Total = 21 MD to Juicer main body

Bob has to move past Deumos to get a clear shot. As he gets closer his multiple image spell, and all active spells suddenly drop. Bob opens fire on the second cyborg, again with lightning from the palm of his hand, leaving a small scorch mark on the cyborgs' armor.

Mephisto raises one hand, clearly to unleash a spell, but there is no effect.

Deumos, the large Brek-Shall demon stomps his foot down on the head of the cyborg Masque' took down. The helmet shatters, after sustaining massive damage from Disharmony earlier. (The cyborgs' un-armored head is still at 100% however)

Smoke swings his chainsaw at the juicers' legs, while continuing to fire with his forearm rail gun - making sure not to hit Na-Wa. The juicer evades the rail gun blast, but the chainsaw slices across his leg, sending sparks flying. The jucier falls to one knee, but holds his balance. His leg-armor is holding up fine.

The juicer on top of the transport back flips, landing inside the hatch and slides down the ladder back inside the transport. Growling and snarling can be heard, along with gunfire as the jucier now has to deal with three demons and Lieutenant Malefic down below.

The psychic soldier walks backward to distance himself from Silvermasque and Deumos, and takes a shot at Bob with his plasma rifle.

Second Four

The cyborg Masque knocked down, Deumos stepped on, appears to have accepted his fate and lays motionless at their feet.

The cyborg still standing is ignoring Disharmony, and opens fire on Silvermasque with his rail gun. 'Masque attempts to sidestep the blast, but is not quite fast enough. Silvermasque is hit in the chest.

Second Five

Silvermasque adjusts after trying to dodge, and taking the impact of the rail gun.

Disharmony flies overtop of the group and fires down on the still-standing cyborg. Striking him in the top of his head with her particle beam cannon, nearly disintigrating it in one shot. The pieces fall to the ground, revealing his human-prosthetic face attached to his bionic skull.

Na-Wa changes his target to the psychic, as the juicer is no longer in sight, and should be taken care of by the rest of the platoon inside the transport. Taking aim, and firing with his pistol, he misses.

Bob blasts lightning at the standing cyborg again from the palm of his hand. The blast leaves another small scorch mark on the cyborgs' heavy body armor.

Deumos stomps on the cyborgs' head again, and he will continue to do so until it is crushed. This second stomp is deflected off the skull of the 'borg and does little to no damage.

Smoke turns around and aims at the standing cyborgs' now-revealed head, firing with his forearm rail gun from the top of the transport still. He misses, and hits the main body instead, knocking the cyborg back a step with the impact. The armor now has a visible dent, but it holds strong.

The psychic soldier takes another shot at Bob with hisplasma rifle.

The remaining juicer walks backward while shooting at Deumos. He looks back and forth between Silvermasque, Bob and Deumos and simply chose the monster the others weren't shooting at yet. The plasma blast lightly scorches the demons' armor, and singes some fur.

Second Six

Disharmony takes the time to aim at the head again before firing.

Mephisto moves out of the psychic's anti-magic range and decides to ignore him. He raises his hand and calls down a bolt of lightning from the sky, striking the cyborg in the shoulder, leaving a black scorch stripe down his back. His armor remains in tact.

The cyborg on the ground rolls to his back in one last attempt to take revenge on Silvermasque for taking him out of the war (in his opinion) prematurely. He has his rifle at the ready and fires from the hip, hoping for a lucky shot, and plants a plasma stream directly into Silvermasque's face.

The standing cyborg fires another shot at Silvermasque as well, landing another rail gun slug into his chest.

The juicer takes another shot at Demos, but the demons' flesh is tough.

Second Seven

Silvermasque rushes the desperate 'borg and finishes him off with another flury of vibro-swords. The cyborgs' body shuts down, but with the head intact, he is still alive.

Disharmony takes her aimed shot at the standing borg completely melting the entire head. The cyborg remains standing, though he is very dead.

Na-Wa fires again at the psychic, as his original target is still inside the transport, and out of sight. The psychic is hit in the chest, bringing his armor down to 40%.

Bob moves in to smash anything he can, and tries to punch the juicer, but the juicer easily dodges.

Smoke Perkins fires at the juicer now that both 'borgs are dead, hitting him in the chest and knocking him on his back.

Deumos stands on the juicers' chest, and begins pounding on his face until he hits dirt.

The psychic drops his rifle and raises his arms to surrender.

Combat is over for now.

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

It was a long few minutes, waiting for the second transport to arrive overhead. Silvermasque's team delivers their prisoner to the main group of prisoners with squad three (disarmed and disarmored of course). Ensuring the entire platoon is aware that this prisoner is a Psi-Nullifier, and was interfering with their magic. Then rejoining Lieutenant Nuitari and the rest of squad two. Corporal Wierzbowski makes the rounds, conjuring camoflauged tarps for everyone in the platoon. With a near-perfect recreation of the surrounding terrain, the tarps look like real ground, from just a few feet away.

The transport remains safely out of the boom-gun range, and slows to a hover above the platoon. The rain continues to pour down, and lightning crackles across the sky. The Death's Head hovers there for several seconds, before the rear ramp slowly opens...

Hundreds of skelebots pour out of the transport like a swarm of hornets, free-falling  for most of the descent to the ground. Once they are just a thousand feet from impact, they activate tiny jet-packs installed on their backs, that couldn't hold much more fuel to last for anything other than a very short controlled drop. There must be four or five hundred of them raining down... The rain and thunder are too loud to hear any of this, but it makes a terrifying image against the backdrop of lightning flashes...

*It has been 4 minutes since the transport was called in over the radio.

He considers the resources he has to work with a moment, then takes up his radio "Take out as many of them as you can before they reach the ground! We must hold this position!  'Masque's melee with the Coalition 'borg is resolved in short moments, the energy dumped into the Triax-made defensive screen shielding his massive body causing it to shimmer as it radiates heat into the atmosphere, the generators that maintain it struggling to shed the overload as he smoothly deactivates and sheaths his blades while shouldering his deactivated foe - not merely the psionic then, but the 'borg as well are delivered to prisoner-dom before he heads back and oversees the squad, digging in as best possible for the next assault...

...which isn't long in coming and is greeted by 'Masque rumbling "This is going to be made of suck, youbet..." and bringing up his paired grenade launchers, chambering both with fragmentation rounds and spending the time until the Coalition 'bots enter firing range calculating firing trajectories and calling out "Is being good idea to take cover... If anyone is having clever tricks to deflect incoming fire or make fortifications, now is being time to use, da!"

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

The Coalition transport is about 6 kilometers from the ground when it releases the skelebots. It will be gaining altitude as the last 'bot is off the ramp. As soon as the skelebots fall within range of the boom guns, Drano and Comartin open fire. The 'bots tuck in and freefall, head first to minimize the time before impact.

The glitter boys have a full 27 seconds of unanswered blasting into the swarm above. Both pilots take advantage of the situation, lock in, and go full offensive (doubling their actions, but hindering their ability to defend). Sgt. Pierce gets off 38 shots, and Comartin 35 before the skelebots fall within the one-mile range and return fire. They have damaged or destroyed 25% of them already...

Anyone else with a 1-mile range weapon may open fire. Any additional defenses can be set up as well.

Nuitari watches the glitter boys save the day yet again and take out a large portion of the descending skelebots. He realizes though that they will nopt take out enough, and there still may be well over a hundred make it within firing range... there may also end up being additional units other than skelebots among them...

He scans the battlefield again and again, and contemplates various options and outcomes for the coming battle.

Remaining in place will ensure nothing but mass casualties, and no guarantee of survival for anyone. Ther eis no telling how far away Tolkeen reinforcements are, or how far more Coalition units are...

He must decide, and quickly. Many lives are at stake.

Confident they are no longer at risk of being carpet-bombed by the transport, he makes hsi choice.

"Third Platoon! Make for the crashed transport immediately! Sergeant Pierce, Comartin, Silvermasque, Disharmony, Bob, Jack, Bullovah, Deumos; You will form a perimeter at the side entrance to the transport, outside on the ground. Smaller sharpshooters take positions behind them. I need a team to either seal the roof hatch at the back, or defend it from entry. Park the skiffs and the hover truck by the side entrance to use as cover - and bring all prisoners inside. Secure them as well as possible. We must dig in and hold out as best we can, and we will be slaughtered if we stay out here waiting for the swarm. For Tolkeen!"

Nuitari immediately begins driving his hover skiff over to the side of the transport again.

"Corporal Zander, we are coming up behind you please ensure we are clear to enter. Will you need support or is your team ok?"

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

The Glitter Boys continue to fire, while Lieutenant Nuitari and his squad can be seen speeding for the transport for cover before the 'bots reach the ground. The descending skelebots hit terminal velocity some time ago, and are just seconds from entering standard weapons range. As they get closer, some of them are visibly not typical skelebots... Some appear to be some new-model of multi-armed demonic robots, while others are heavy cyborgs.

Wierzbowski and Bullovah move off to their new positions as ordered in by Nuitari, while Thasha and Boris remain with Pierce and Comartin to ensure they are protected while they stand out in the open and shoot down as many as they can...

Thasha moves over to stand next to Comartin, while Boris remains hovering slightly off the ground next to Pierce.

The heavy cyborgs are armed with several weapons each, but some have missile rifles and return fire the moment they are within range, focusing entirely on the two chromium guardsmen.

A total of eight mini-missile volleys (of four each) pour down from the sky along with the torrential rain. (4 volleys on each GB). These missiles are fired from 8 separate missile rifles almost simultaneously once they reach the 1 mile distance.

Both Pierce and Comartin remain locked in place firing back up at the aggressors.

Boris is able to shoot one missile prior to hitting its' target, detonating it and another missile in mid-air. Pierce is lucky and is only hit with one volley (Boris detonated two that were already going to miss). It appears that aiming unguided mini-missiles while falling in maximum velocity is quite difficult. Comartin, is unluckily hit with 2 volleys. The others miss their tagets and detonate all around the four soldiers and engulf them in flames, debris and mud. Thasha is hit by at least one of the missed-volleys and is blown off his feet, leaving most of his armor in pieces scattered around him. Boris manages to stay out of most of the blast radius, taking very little damage.

Thirty seconds have now passed since the 'bots fell within range, and the Glitter Boys have managed to fire another 7 times (Pierce 4 times, Comartin 3) into the robot swarm. (It has been just three seconds since they crossed the 1 mile mark).

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

The Glitter Boys show no sign of stopping and continue to fire. Thasha realizes this is far too much for him, and he scrambles to his feet and charges for the safety of the transport, leaving his body armor in pieces in the mud behind him.

The descending swarm starts to activate their mini jet packs to slow their falling speed, while the cyborgs release another spray of missiles at the dangerous GBs. This time, ten volleys of four missiles make up the deadly spray... Upon quick estimation, there are 12-16 Cyborgs, who seem to each have missile rifles. They all drop their missile rifles after this blast, and focus on controlling their landing.

This time, SIX volleys are aimed at Pierce, while FOUR are launched at Comartin. Boris manages to hit another, detonating two in mid air, and again hitting ones that were already going to miss... Pierce is hit with a staggering FOUR VOLLEYS, while two detonate nearby, again sending flames and mud in all directions.

Comartin is likewise unfortunate and takes another three volleys of four, while one falls horribly short into the fields of water and mud.

Pierce manages to fire another 4 shots, while Comartin fires another 3. They have now damaged or destroyed a THIRD of the descending mechanical swarm!

*33 seconds have passed since the bots entered boom gun range. 6 seconds since they crossed the 1 mile mark. They are now just under 2000 feet, in a controlled fall, using their jet packs in bursts to land safely in just a few seconds -- they will land all over the place - two hundred feet in all directions around the crashed transport.

"Na-Wa, head inside, and turn left. Meet up with Corporal Zander and assist his squad."

"Everbody else form up, and prepare to fend off the swarm!"

Nuitari parks the hover skiff in front of the semi-circle of 'heavy hitters' as a form of cover. He then hops down and marches swiftly inside the opening of the transport, turning to face outwards, he prepares to battle the Coalition mechanical army.

"They will hit us relentlessly. Hold your positions. Men will die. Keep our heavy hitters up and protected to the absolute best of your ability."

Disharmony's sensor array lit up as the hordes of skelebots glided towards the band. She had to wonder as to why the Coalition seemed so determined to recover the Death's Head. She radiod her suspicions to the team leader. "This one might ask if one has considered there may be something of high value to our enemies remaining in the wreckage.". disharmony didn't wait for the lockon signal from her missiles, just firing them into the horde, even if they missed, they'd hit other bands of the enemy. Seeing the glitter boys attacked by so many missiles she prioritised her point defence mechanism to cover for the Glitter Boys and hopefully take down some of the incoming missiles.

She was not pleased at the order to hold fast. Her priorities would have been to fade and hit the skelebots later. Priming the particle cannon, she commenced firing once the bots were in range.

Twenty foot minimum between holes, here are being party favours for any who are needing them!", the massive 'borg producing a string of entrenchment charges from his pack which he passes out before triggering the back on one and slamming it against the ground, where it rapidly uses a shaped-charge to excavate a 'Masque-sized fighting position (and create a major dirt shower in).

"Anyone with onboard energy weapons, you're on point-defence... I want missile packs staggered in short volleys to engage inbound fire, protect the Disco balls, da? Mages, you do what you do best, extend our defences first, then do anything you can to mess with the enemy coming in and if anyone is seeing clumped foe, shout out - I am on fire support with fragmentation rounds!" he then calls as he bounces into his tiger-pit and checks that it's deep enough for him to duck in against the risk of flying shrapnel.

Re: Tolkeen : Chapter 12 -- Squad Two

The squad continues to fire as the skelebot's control their fall, and exhaust the last bit of fuel as they finally reach the ground.

From the initial glitter boy attack, followed by the tornado, and the second wave of counterfire from Disharmony, the glitter boys and anyone else with any sort of ranged weapons firing on them, more than half of them have already been eliminated. But there are still a staggering number of them, scattered about, and landing all around the crashed transport. A few will land directly on top of the squad.

(This part was awkward. For anybody firing on them for any part of the last 2000 feet, please subtract the necessary ammunition or PPE for one third of your total actions).

As they begin to land, some a thousand feet away, they begin to converge on the crash site. With two standard skelebots looming overhead about 50 feet from the ground, and another 11 charging in on foot, the battle has truly begun. The 13 skelebots are a mix of the old death's head type and the new, sleeker model of killer robot, and they do not take prisoners.

The Death's Head Transport above, begins to head off back toward Coalition territory.
