Re: C8 : Graveyard Squad

Branches fall from the canopy as the Iron Juggernauts decend into the forest, clearing a path that Van follows into the fight. "Alright, game plan;" he ordered before they arrived, "Anubis, hit the gargoyle with a long-range spear attack then provide support for Isis as he engages the gargoyle hand to hand. Isis, put up a forcefield via Ball Lightning to maximize damage in the melee. Set, I want you to drop a 10ft Ball of Ice on the brodkil and then hit him with steam. Adjust accordingly, but you have your targets."

As the hole opens in the canopy Van has his rifle ready, steadying himself for a clear shot at Osema. As soon as he has it he fires his payload as quickly as he can, keeping his sights trained on the shoulder of Osema's gun arm. He's not going to kill him fast -- that would be too easy.

CannonFodder deposits his riders onto the ground as gently but as quickly as he can, then flies up to offer aid to those battling the Gargoyle. It seems natural as the Gargoyle is in flight as well as he.

Osema runs out gun blazing and howling like a banshee paying no real attention to his own well being. It is obvious he has given up on escape and intends to try and at least take a few of his tormentors down with him.

Tyirrak simply moves forward with liquid grace as his blades slide out of his armor, intent on dicing his prey. A small frown of annoyance goes unnoticed under his helmet... annoyance that he had not the chance to deal with the Brodkil alone. Hardly a worthy hunt with all these distractions.

Still..

He began to weave as he neared Osema, then lashed out with a bladed instep as he spun, his muscular bladed tail whipping around as he made a full circle.

Vashti streaks out of the forest, moving at an unbelievable clip, and heads straight for the gargoyle defending Osema.  The jeridu barely breaks stride to leap intervening obstacles, moving as if in a dance with each limb placed precisely where it needs to be at a given time.

As he nears the demons, Vashti swords lick out towards the gargoyle but he doesn't slow.  Instead, the jeridu uses the cliff-face behind the demons to redirect his charge back towards the gargoyle.  Vashti's swords flash in and out, striking a sharp staccato rhythm on the demon's stone-like skin.

Feral snarls, or was it a smile... and races towards the gargoyle, there is no reasoning with him now, he as been unleashed. At this point, only Doc and then that is not likely at this point. Once within about 15 feet Feral leaps...

Re: C8 : Graveyard Squad

Seeing that the end is near, what with the freakish mongrel man, the six-armed pretty boy and the Lanotaur all converging near one spot, he leaps up closing the last ten feet or so to land near Matyss. He is not even shooting anymore when he screams out in a mix of pure hatred and glee. "I WILL SEE YOU MOTHERFUCKERS IN HELL!" Instead of reaching for his gun in those final seconds he reaches down to fondle his penis.

Matyss ignores the surrounding members of Pluto Company and focuses on finishing off the techno wizards laying defenseless at his feet. He stomps on Sergeant Wraiths' head three times until the helmet cracks and his skull is crushed. All the while he blasts away at Ghouls' back with his rail gun. The corporals' body is turned to mush in a matter of seconds. Banshee and Dragon are still on the ground, unconcious, and blown several feet away from the grenades. There is no telling if they still live.

Re: C8 : Graveyard Squad

Na – Wa takes cover behind a tree, his shots had little effect on the gargoyles body armour. Four blasts and there were only three small black scorch marks on Matyss’ chestplate… the fourth shot missed completely. He peaks back around to take aim at Osema as he exits the cave and opens fire on the one-armed brodkil.

Matyss’ armour is heavily trashed by the time Osema gets out of the cave from the constant fire of Carver, Archangel, and Black Andy. Soon after McDirth is killed by Osema, he stands to his feet. Missing the top half of his head he charges at Matyss, leaving a faint trail of red mist behind his head as he runs.

Lord Osema leaps to Matyss’ side and masterbates one last time before he is slaughtered. Matyss doesn’t give up quite so easily and opens fire on Na-Wa turning the tree the psi-stalker was using for cover to splinters.

Branches fall from the canopy as the Iron Juggernauts descend into the forest, clearing a path that Van follows into the fight. The massive Cannon Fodder chops through several trees with his forearm blades and slices the barrel of his rail gun off.

Matyss lets out a war cry as he drops the destroyed rail gun and draws two swords just in time before being hit in the face with a 30 foot long spear from Annubis. The 12 foot gargoyle is knocked staggering back into the cliff-face and drops both his swords.

Feral leaps the distance and begins to pummel the gargoyle in the face, tearing strips of flesh off with his bare hands. Matyss’ eye and several teeth are sent flying into the others.

Both the gargoyle and Osema are then blasted with bolts of lightning nearly shattering their armour.

Isis doesn’t slow down and flies into Matyss cracking the entire cliff with the impact and then starts to chop Matyss limb from limb while he screams in pain… the same way he killed Nebress… Feral had jumped away just in time…

The massive Juggernaut knocked Osema to his knees and forced him to hold himself with his remaining arm as his armour crumbles away.

Van opens fire on the crew-less warlord, melting his shoulder and severing the other arm. Just before he is hit with a ball of ice formed from nowhere flattening the arm-less sub demon to the ground on his face.

Tyirrak and Vashti arrive moments later. They stab and slice poor Osema into pieces before the cyber knights could get within sword range.

Tyirrak had the most warning. He had sensed exactly what Osema had done just before he died and managed to save himself by leaping away from the body. Vashti, Feral, Isis, Tecumseh and Togorhul had no chance to dodge the explosion. A fusion block in Lord Osema’s knapsack detonates vaporizing nearly everything in a ten foot radius.

Tecumseh was on the edge of its’ radius and was pulled back by Jelme just a millisecond too late leaving Tecumseh with no face or hands and the rest of his armour is melting to his chest while he half screams and half gurgles in pain and terror. There is no trace of Togorhul, he is gone just like the trees in the radius.

Vashti is left on the ground in his armour after the explosion, otherwise unharmed. Isis is merely scorched by the damage and has already begun to regenerate.

The rest are left staring at a few tree tops crashing to the ground after their trunks were disintegrated. Lord Osema is gone and Matyss is now a stain on the surroundings.

Re: C8 : Graveyard Squad

'Jesus Lord, I should've realized...' The desperation of Osema's last 'fuck you' took the young Techno-Wizard by surprise in the same instant he vows never to underestimate a cornered dog.

He takes cover from debris and any danger to his person. Amid the cracking of wood and the roar of the explosion Van hears Tecumseth's scream of pain. Realizing the Cyber-Knight is either the worst off (or at least the loudest) he snaps up and rushes over to see to him. "Medic!"

Specializing in repair of the inanimate and not so much of tissue (or even the cybernetic armor that protects the knight's vitals) he tries to clear the area to facilitate someone else's expertise.

Radio: "This is Van. Osema and company are down, but we've lost some people and we've got injured."

Jelme's face is washed with terror as he watches Tecumseh scream in pain on the ground. He takes his eyes of the knight just for a moment to speak to Van.

"We didn't bring a medic... they are all back at Madtown..."

Feral lets out a groan from under a bush. His flesh is still baking, crackling and fizzing in the cool night air. Smoke rises up from dozens of holes in his skin, and one or two areas are bubbling... Feral is alive... for now...

The insect like juggernaut speaks emotionlessly to Van "I can carry the wounded back to Madtown, as can my brethren."

One of the vanguard brawlers with McDirth walks over to the blast area looking for any remains of McDirth... but finds nothing. ALl that is left are the pieces of skull blown into the trees when osema shot him.

CannonFodder takes a break from examining the swords the Gargoyle dropped to interject some possibly useful information.

"If I may interject, I have some medical training tho no supplys on me to treat the wounded. Also I'm not used to patients the size of humans, but it might do more harm then good to transport them in this condition. Tho it will take longer, it may be safer to bring the Medics to them."

Re: C8 : Graveyard Squad

Van looks at the giant as he turns away from the loot. His tone is serious "Well you certainly are a mountain of wisdom over there. Nice of you to take a fucking break from your day job appraising merchendise to tend to the dying."

Radio again: "Scratch that Sarah. Relay your position to Isis and have him pick you up. It was a fusion block; so I guess, have whatever shit you need to deal with that."

Seeing that he has one shot left on his e-clip he fires in frustration out into the forest, splitting a large branch off of a tree somewhere. He reloads.

Na-Wa felt two things hit him really hard, before the world went black, then he woke up to Wohn-Ecke mind taking to him.

Walking over to where the others are Na-Wa looks at those that are hurt. After looking up into the air and talking to nobody in particular

"Oh OK"

Na-Wa goes over to the man who just shot his gun into the forest, who seems to be in charge (Van), so Na-Wa told him what Wohn-Ecke just told him.

“Wohn-Ecke, told me that he can fix people inside.”

"This Wohn-Ecke, he mind talks to to Na-Wa. He tell tell Na-Wa he already fix some people." Na-Wa then points to the still smoldering bodies of Feral, and Tecumseh.

"Wohn-Ecke tell Na-Wa that he make it so they can live one more hour, what ever that is."
