Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

Portia is able to find Dyvalis in his quarters. The lights are out and the bed is empty. Many of the personal effects around the room, including several clocks and a lamp smashed and laying broken on the floor. Dyvalis is huddled in the corner, in a meditative state, on a pile of clothes, including his officer's uniform and the bedding from off the bed.

When she calls his name he snaps out of his meditation almost violently. He takes a moment to accept that he's back in the real world while mumbling some nonsense, "five clocks...no closer...sorry. No I'm awake. Is it time to fight the fascists again?"

He pulls himself to his feet and stumbles a bit. He uses his Millenium staff for support. "It's temporary. Hasn't been a day yet has it? It feels like it's been a week."

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

After getting into Tolkeen and being released for a few days off, Lotus goes off to stow her Mystic Knight armour at Pluto's barracks and then heads into the city wearing her civilian clothes and riding her regular hovercycle.  She makes her way to an inn where she books a private room for the night.  She heads out to finally buy something she's been meaning to pick up for a while - a music player.  She purchases a decent-sized boom box with a memory disk slot and some choice selections of electronic/industrial music.

After returning to the Inn, Lotus seals herself inside the room, flips on the music to an obnoxious volume and sits on the floor for some much overdue meditation.  For once, Lotus allows herself to relax.

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

When Lieutenant Lynn found Tyirraks quarters, they were stark and the place smelled like fresh blood. Tyirraks armor was neatly laid out, sans a few parts being repaired, plates replaced and so-one. He himself was sitting in a corner, chewing on the raw leg of what appeared to be a freshly slaughtered small farm animal that was now draining blood into the sink.

Tyirraks stood and turned to face the Lieutenenant as saw him. He raised the leg, which was speared by the blade on the end of his tail and leaving his hands free.

"May I help you Lieutenant?"

She smiles at Dyvalis' antics, and asks (orders) him to follow her to Lieutenant Tyirrak's quarters.

Upon arrival, she is caught by surprise for a moment at the meal Tyirrak has chosen for himself. She forgot he was a lanotaur briefly, and is now reminded of his inherrant lack of civilization, and the likeness to the demons she controls.

"I would like to go over a few things regarding our new squad, and the unbalanced number of officers within. If necessary, I would like the squad to be able to split into two teams. I would lead one, and Tyirrak would lead the other. I apologize Dyvalis, but one of us had to miss out, and you have the least field experience.

I would take Burd and Severin with me obviously. And Vashti and yourself seem to work very well together, and was thinking the Mystic Knight would work well with the two of you (as well as Mystic Knights can work with others that is...) In the end I saw it something like this :

Portia
Dyvalis
Burd
Severin
Na-Wa
Mah

Tyirrak
Vashti
Daemonis
Thasha
Photios
Lotus

Is this agreeable?

Dyvalis, having not the energy to argue about things, is fairly complacent. Besides there is a whole world of things weighing on his mind presently. "Fine. As long as I get my Lieutenant's pay grade I don't care if you take away the responsibilities thereof and lump me in with your Demonic minions. It makes no difference at this point."

He continues to balance on his staff.

His desire to fight for this wonderful Kingdom grew, and he prepared for battle with new found courage.

He will arrive outside the barracks at 1630 hours and wait.

Na-Wa, is seven inches deep into a whore when he hears Portia’s order over his suits radio, which has been turned all the way up. Perking his head up the psi-stalker listens to the mean magic ladies voice then goes back to what he was doing. When finished Na-Wa collects his things and makes his way to the corral where his silonar is being kept.

After waiting for the beast to eat several skull faced solders condemned to execution Na-Wa gets on top of his mount and makes his way to Pluto Company’s area. Along the way beast makes several attempts to either bite the head of any pedestrians that venture too close to the beast or throw Na-Wa off its back. With each unsuccessful attempt Na-Wa hits Silonar on top of its head with the flat side of Whon-Ecke, this is accompanied by a verbal scolding from Na-Wa.

By 1630 Na-Wa is in front of Second Squads barracks riding on his Silonar. By this time the beast has calmed down somewhat....but makes an occasional attempt to bite the head off of anyone who ventures too close.

Having found his way to a secluded spot near a ley line, Photios was interrupted by the call back to duty and donned a scowl at the removal of their time off. Having only enough time to restore his energy reserves to full and perhaps get fresh clothing and a shower, it seemed the war was finally starting to pick up on their end.

Arriving at the aforementioned time, Photios wishes he had enough time to get a meal in at one of the nicer local restaurants... but at the very least he wouldn't be teased with good food before having to return to trail rations.

At 1645 hours, Squad Three is already there, standing at attention. Squad One and Four are just arriving along with 2nd.

Captain Viktor is standing in front of a map, waiting for everyone to arrive, and stand at attention.

Everyone's vehicles are parked near-by, and several young Tolkeen children are playing on top of Amy's dropship. One boy is wearing a cut out mask of a skull chasing the others on top of the ship shouting "genocide!" at the others, while they all laugh, and continue to play unsafely.

Viktor begins the briefing at 1657 hours, with all four squads giving him their full attention.

"I want to apologise for pullig you all out of your time off. I don't like it any more than you do, but orders are orders. We are heading to Freehold first to join with a small party of dragons, before heading out on our mission first thing tomorrow morning. We will be assaulting a Coalition base just north west of the ruins of Madtown with the dragons. We will attack in four groups from the north west, with Drano and Portia taking their squads inside a Coalition sympathising town, for a surgical strike, while 1st move out with the dragons, looking for a specific flying battle-station that is currently sitting at this base. Squad Four will hang back at a designated area, to cover our retreat when our tasks are complete. Our recon on this area is obsolete for the most part, and as such we will need to decipher the situation better when we arrive.

In addition to this assault, there are a small group of Tolkeen deserters planning on releasing information to the Dead Boys. They are headed to the same outpost, and we are to intercept them before they arrive, and kill or capture every last one of them. The officers are being supplied with a personal coputer with profiles on the groups leaders, and a general information roster on their troops.

Are there any intelligent questions before we head out?"

Lotus ponders asking a question when the captain offers the opportunity, but decides to wait.  Seems like a straightforward operation to me she thinks.

Dyvalis is looking better than when Lt. Lynn found him in his quarters. He seems to have regained his composure, but there's definitely something different about him. His eyes seem to look through everyone. Though he listens attentively, he doesn't show any reaction. When Mah introduces himself, Dyvalis looks at the D-bee but does not make eye contact. When Mah expresses his 'pride' to be serving with Pluto, Dyvalis laughs; not for long, and with no explanation.

The briefing lives up to its name, and within 3 minutes it is wrapped up. "1700hrs. It's time to move."

Daemonis, no longer to depend much on Dyvalis' assistance, finds himself using Tongues to understand more about this world. This would not be the first time he's found himself out of his home dimension. He's seen variations of this realm, but every universe had its unique evolutions. He was beginning to understand that to be here, at this critical juncture in the fate of this planet, was not to be missed by sitting on the sidelines.

After Mah's introduction Daemonis felt compelled to offer an explanation of his own. "I am him," he said pointing at Dyvalis, "in another universe. I'm called Daemonis."

Na-Wa didn’t know what the word intelligent meant, so he didn’t ask any questions. He really didn’t pay attention to the Captain either. Others would tell Na-Wa what to look for and kill, and Na-Wa would do as he is told.

Thasha:
"Hi Na-Wa... I don't think we met yet... I am Thasha. Do you want to be friends, so we don't have to die alone?"

After the Scaly lizard man speaks Na-Wa looks at him, and wonders how the Scaly lizard man knew his name. “Na-Wa’s last best friend was named Feral, he was stupid like Na-Wa, but and went bye bye before battle came. Will Scaly lizard man run away too before battle? If not yes Na-Wa and Scaly lizard man can be friends, but Na-Wa don’t plan on to die.”

“Just stay away from Silonar’s....” Na-Wa pointed to a baby Tyrannosaurus Rex that was tied up to a nearby building and out of reach of anyone and anything “...mouth, he likes to eat crunchy things, like Skull faced soldiers. Silonar might think Scaly lizard man might be good to eat.”

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

Without any further questions or delays, all eight platoons of Pluto Company head out from Tolkeen, on their short and hopefully uneventful journey to Freehold, City of Dragons. With just under 250 soldiers, the Coalition would likely have to have ten times as many troops in order to stage a legitimate attack... although that doesn't rule it out, and there is always the possibility of running into an unprepared unit, which could still cause a disturbance. However with thousands of reinforcements in the area, Pluto Company is relatively safe.

The road to Freehold, is a busy road. All kinds of soldiers, mercenaries and civilians are constantly moving between the two cities, on a very wide, paved road. There are small bunkers and stationary weapons all along, and hundreds of troops who have yet to even see combat. They are just waiting for the inevitable moment when the Coalition forces will come into sight on the horizon... Many of the Cyber Knights have taken on this duty of "home defense" rather than partaking in the crimes of humanity and the horrors of war that Tolkeen has found itself increasingly comfortable with.

So far... the journey is mostly quiet...

She turns her attention from her demonic minion knowing that obedience, at least in his case, is a foredrawn conclusion. She motions Tyirrak ovre to join her and Severin. The lithe wizardress looks almost comical between the two towering reptillians yet she manages to maintain an air of authority. Astride her mystic hovercycle she reaches into one of the saddlebags and pulls out what looks like a small crystal ball and holds it aloft for everyone in squad two to see.

"Attention everyone this little piece of fluff is apparently some sort of weapon of mass destruction. We shall soon discover the veracity of its potency because our mission is to deliver it. Should I fall in battle Severin will place it in my stead. Should we both perish then Tyirrak here will deliver the goods. If all three of us die than one of you others take it and contact Major Karno for instructions. For this part of the mission we do not expect too much resistance.

She places the crystal back inside her saddlebag and looks back up intently.

"However we do plan to intercept a renegade Tolkeen unit that was about fifty members strong at the time of our last intelligence report. Here is what I know;

They are lead by Captain Theodore Kitt, and his second in command Lieutenant Dragana Kovacevic. They are both shifter-mages and none of them have any trouble killing Tolkeen soldiers. They firmly believe we are the enemy, and will stop at nothing to ensure the Coalition victory.

Their troops consist of :

7-8 other mages (line walkers, warlocks, necromancer etc)
3-4 full conversion cyborgs
Drake - a seasoned mind melter
2 Dragon Fly Juggernauts
6-7 Battle Mages
Renszath - A former politician - Raksasha Demon
10 various rifle men
5 master psychics (bursters, zappers etc)
6 summoned gargoyles
2 Mystic Knights
1 High Magus, and his Colossus Automaton from Dweomer

Photios get your ass in the ATV and get to work making scrolls and amulets. Use anyone in the unit in any manner you see fit to accomplish this goal. I want defense and heavy hitting shit. Save the fancy stuff for impressing your mother and your girlfriends. With a name like Photios I hope they are not one and the same.

Daemonis backs down from the conflict with the demon, feeling at least that he didn't lose face. That part was important when dealing with demons. Still there was no long term security, a fact he would hopefully remedy if a situation presents itself where he can speak to Lt. Lynn discreetly. He'll try first in Elven, hoping she speaks the language. Otherwise English will have to do.

"Lieutenant. I would like to ask if you could order your demons specifically not to harm anyone within the platoon. I know how tricky demons can be, and 'play nice' might not be sufficient to prevent incident. It would put my mind at ease if you could say specifically that, just 'don't harm anyone in Pluto company'." "In all honesty I do not know or care to know anything about your situation with the gunslinger or your fellow knights. I respect loyalty more than almost anything else and I will leave it at that. This war is a win-win situation for me. When Tolkeen prevails then I will rise in the military ranks as long as I can prevent my charges from blundering to noticeably. Should Tolkeen fall then I believe I will fit very nicely into your Federation of Magic. My first instinct is to deny your request but if you care to explain to me how you will accomplish your goals without giving away our platoons position or intent then I am willing to hear you out."

Daemonis nods. "Alright then. Invincible Armor. I don't have the spell, but I can help create the talismans and supply you with force. Would also like to create an Energy Sphere as a reserve of potential force." The use of the word 'force' seems to be a mistranslation of some kind, just because most tend to refer to it as 'energy'. The unfamiliarity with energy is another thing that required some adjustment in this world. He had seen technological worlds, but the stakes were high in this dimension, on this planet, where so many worlds collided.

Mah's comment further underlines the intensity of the warfare he was up against. He had already encountered species he'd never even seen written about using technology he didn't understand. But it was true, they seldom left someone wounded. Either you get out unscathed, or you don't get out at all. He discussed his concerns with the healer. "I am trying to understand the scale of things here. Your armor is designed to withstand the blows of demons, and is not even phased by a bullet fired by some kind of gunpowder based weapon, no matter how advanced. And yet these," holding his CS issue "Hellfire" plasma cannon, "seem to vaporize humans, elves, even an ogre, yet some races have adapted to these weapons, like a Rahu-man, or a Titan, most monster races. I just don't understand how the abundance of ley lines has created changes in certain creatures over others."

<img src="http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/448/riftsfreehold.jpg"align="left"> FREEHOLD, City of Dragons is known to be a city-state ruled by the infamous Dragon Kings, and as such, is a haven for dragons, and other creatures of magic and inhuman character. It is believed that there are over 150 dragons living in Freehold, some say over 500, with 10 ancient dragons in power. Nobody really seems to know how many there are at all. It is really two cities in one. The Outer City where most of the non-dragons live, and the Inner City, or City of Dragons where most of the dragons live. The whole City is roughly 2/3 the size of Tolkeen, with maybe 20% of her population.

Freehold is built on a man-made island. The outer walls are 60 feet tall, the inner walls are over 200 feet tall, and half that thick. And surprisingly enough there are no defenses anywhere to be seen. Not even outside the City walls. It's as though Freehold is pretending there is no war...

The Outer City is surrounded by a castle-like wall, and Inner City is surrounded by even bigger castle walls. There are residential homes, and markets just like Tolkeen between the two walls. There are Dragon statues, paintings, sculptures, and art of all kinds everywhere. Some buildings are constructed to look like giant Dragon Kings, and children everywhere are wearing leather Dragon costumes, and chasing each other, pretending to fly and breathe fire. There are mages, and magic shops of every sort, weapons and armour, repair and demonic hide outs are spread all around the Outer City. (unfortunately you don't get any discounts here...). The majority of the people are human, with a large amount of gargoyles and Brodkil. There is a sizeable Simvan population as well as tens of thousands of other Dimensional Beings.

Pluto Company travels right up to the main gates in the South Wall. The giant gates appear to open on their own, and close again when they are all through.

Dragons can be seen flying around above the Inner City, and some are resting on high towers, with their wings or tails hanging down off the sides.

A short transmission comes in over the radio. Major Karno says "Hold up here".

Some of the other soldiers sit down, or lean against buildings while waiting for the major to come back with orders.

Now that the column has stopped, Na-Wa's T-Rex takes the time to take a shit in the middle of the street. Semi squatting, the creature raises its tail, spreads its legs and relives itself. By the time the T-Rex is finished there is a pile of excrement nearly five feet high that is predominantly greenish in color. Bits and pieces of white bone can be seen among the excrement, including that of a human skull.

Even with the Baalrog kneeling she still has to float up a few feet to be eye level with him.

"Of course you will my pet...offer accepted. Know that if this is some manner of deception you will be back leading shitheel Ghouls and Couril in Hades before you can even think of crossing me. Until we formalize all the details you are forbidden to engage in acts of violence against any member of Tolkeens army or citizens unless you are specifically attacked with enough force that it causes substantial damage to your person and then your attacks must be limited to personal defense and aimed only at the person or persons attacking you. Furthermore any such defensive maneuver must be performed in a manner that will limit collateral damage to individuals and property within Tolkeens borders. Of course all this blather is null and void should I order you otherwise. Beyond that we will all have some good fun together I am sure."

Portia floats back down slowly the balls of her feet touching lightly upon the concrete. Turning back to the rest of her troops her eyes are now completely normal looking. "Squad two we have a new recruit. Portia offers an understanding nod to Dyvalis which would not even be worhty of mention except that iti is the first time she has even really acknowledged him since their falling out. Portia sends Wrex, Burd and Severin over to a corner where three outer walls of a park converge creating a niche currently occupied by war refugees. Upon her instruction said refugees are callously further displaced by the demons making room for her squad. Riding her hovercycle right up near to one man who appears to be on the verge of becoming seriously, perhaps fatally, indignant she calmly states the facts.

"Shit rolls down hill citizen. If you have a problem with it then go and petition the Dragon Kings I am sure they will be sympathetic to your whining. My soldiers are fighting for your right to be a cowardly refugee so get you and all your filthly lot out of my sight before I get angry."

Portia parks her hovercycle near one of the walls and then reclines back on it. Her petite form can completely stretch out on it allowing for at least a decent palce to catch a nap.

"All of you fall out and get whatever sleep you can except Photios and those helping him. I want you to take adavatage of the Nexus and make as many scrolls and amulets as you can. I expect to see your progress when we leave. You can sleep en route in the ATV.

Dyvalis continues the reciprocal nodding, sending one back at the 1st Lieutenant as she takes care of the over-crowding issue. Fuck the people of this city. This was a horrible place that he never wanted to come back to. The Tolkeen urban planning was vastly superior to Freehold in terms of being able to accommodate militia and mercenary crews within their military barracks. These dragons seemed to shut themselves up in their Inner City and not let in the riff-raff that Tolkeen had sent to fight to maintain their land as well. They turned a blind eye to the desperate tactics that Tolkeen employed. Like the demons who now cleared their camp site.

Dyvalis goes over to Photios and Daemonis. In some ways it gives Dyvalis a small comfort to see his Id Self. After all, the copy seemed to be holding together a lot better than original was these days. The three mages, and anyone else who cares to join will be put to work churning out talismans and scrolls all night (save for 2 hours for rest which will be in shifts and will be taken in the form of meditation -- 1 hour if you can perform psychic meditation, which rests you twice as fast). Those who do not have Sustain, will be Sustained at level 6 (or higher if anyone has it at a higher level) will be cast on you.

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

The night passes uneventfully within the Outer City walls. Freehold is a quiet place at night, leaving only the soothing almost hypnotic sound of dragons flying about inside the Inner City.

Morning comes quickly, but everyone who slept feels very good when they wake. A feeling of rejuvenation, as though they just slept a week on a bed of clouds, and woke up 10 years younger. But it is back to business right away. After breakfast, Pluto Company gathers outside the City gates and waits to set out.

Captain Viktor and Major Karno are standing next to 5 massive, frightening and beautiful dragons. They seem to be discussing something, likely the plans for traveling.

Their leader is Aurelor The Avenger, a Great Ice Dragon standing over 30 feet tall, and over 60 feet long. He doesn't look at the two human officers while they are talking, but rather stares off to the East as though he is looking right at some poor Coalition soldier and trying to kill him with his glare.

Standing next to him, and almost as great and almost as tall are his daughters, Ember and Amaya. They are feminine in their appearance, and are only about 20 feet tall, and 40-45 feet long. They are busy staring at the members of Pluto Company. Amaya, the one on Aurelor's right seems very interested in Lieutenant Portia...

Also standing among them are a gigantic 6-headed Hydra named Corrigal, and an adult Kumo Mi Dragon. Both (or all 7, depending on how you look at Hydras...) are listening intently to Major Karno and Captain Viktor.

The soldiers of Pluto Company are forced to stand and wait once again...

Squad two and three will then fall back to a safe point where squad four will cover their escape.

The dragons and squad one will be attacking a specific airship also at this location.

Whichever objective is completed first, will free up those troops to assist the others.

I am sure by now, your officers have brought up the renegade group from Tolkeen. Before we complete our mission, we have to silence this group by any means necessary. This means we ask them to surrender once, then we blow their fucking heads off like the traitorous dogs that they are.

He then pulls out his pee-pee and holds onto it, just as Captain Viktor had said. At this point he is puzzled and not quite sure what to do since all those who also have a cock are not doing the same.

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

Lotus had returned to her platoon in the early hours of the morning.  If it weren't for her armour, she might not have been recognized.  She has cut her hair short and died it black.  She is still riding the same hovercycle, the demon helmet planted securely across the handlebars.  She grabs breakfast, eating alone as usual and prepares her gear for travel.
Overnight, she had a holster for her compound bow affixed to the hovercycle, and a new sheathe on the back of her armour for her sword.  In general, Lotus appears refreshed, well-rested.  At least she isn't cursing the people around her.

As the dragons appear, she can't help but stare.  She has seen hatchlings up close before, but not adults.  Lotus lowers the helmet over her face, granting her some anonymity while staring while the mission is explained.  It is nice to know which way to run and when to pull the trigger, but Lotus could really care less about the details of the mission.  After all this time, they are starting to blur together.

Lotus revs the engine of her hovercycle, raising a dozen feet into the air and powers forward when the call to move is given.

Portia does her best to meet the gaze of the dragon that is eyeballing her and while she does better than most she still ends up looking down as her head retreats back further into the deep cowl of her cloak. When the improptu briefing is over she whirls a finger over her head in a lasso like manner and yells. "Squad two move out!" She hops onto her hovercycle and zips off after Lotus. Once everyone is travelling she clicks on her radio and calls out over the squad channel. "Photios I need you to report. I want a full inventory of the scrolls, amulets and talismans you are carrying as well as any others that were created last night that may have already been distributed out."

Though she thought she would never be in the position where she would do so Lt. Lynn steps over to stand resolutely beside Dyvalis. Given what they are both facing it may have been quite possibly the stupidest time to do so as well. Shrugging off her hood the fiery young sorceress raises her chin to face the fearsome dragongaze of both father and daughter. "Your help will be readily accepted as was that of yon Baalrog demon. As with him you will be treated like any other soldier in my unit. Unlike many units in Tolkeens service I will brook no dissension nor will I tolerate any disobedience. I welcome all comments and criticisms when we are not on an active mission or in combat. In those situations my orders are law and are to be followed implicitly. Failure to comply in the former will earn a soldier a dismissal or court-martial. Noncompliance in the latter will result in an immediate execution."

Portia sweeps her gaze to encompass the entirety of her squad after her last statement. After all some of the soldiers present are new to her command. She wants to make sure everyone knows that dragon or no dragon she is not fucking around.

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

The path to this Coalition outpost is the identical route used on the way to Madtown just under two weeks ago. All four squads of Pluto Company, led by Squad One (with the dragons in human form among them) walk the same steps that more than double their numbers walked when they were here last. Pluto Company had been formed not even a month ago and has already been reduced to just 75% of it's original force.

They set out again after some more Coalition scum, but the prospect of hunting down the renegade party is weighing much heavier on the minds of most of those present. They won't be fighting SAMAS armors and skelebots... they are going up against other mages, fellow citizens of Tolkeen...

Their names : Theodore Kitt, Dragana Kovacevic and Renszath.

An hour into the journey, south east, towards this outpost, is the small 'town' of Desire. Before the war it was a sleezy town to buy and sell all kinds of magic and black market weapons. However it was also filled with gangsters, whores, drugs, and violent crime. Naturally all of these things have gotten worse in the past months, but it was still as good as any spot to begin looking for any sings of the traitors...

The town is built on an old city intersection. It has been restored to some of it's original design, complete with streets, road signs, and traffic lights. There are a dozen bars and taverns, among weapon shops, a vehicle repair garage and a fairly large Inn. The whores (human and D-Bee) don't bother with a place of busines and just walk up and down the intersection, some of them completely naked, offering themselves for a small amount of credits. There aren't many people out in the street, but the repair garage is full of vehicles. As soon as Pluto Company enter the town the girls are all over the soldiers dancing and rubbing themselves against everyone.

Everyone knew it was coming, some were happy some were not when the Major came in over the radio...

"Everyone stop, we're going to take a clsoer look."

Lotus stops as ordered over the radio.  She idles her hovercycle, hovering just high enough to place a boot on the asphalt.  She takes off her helmet, takes a drink of water from her canteen, and allows a particularly attractive (and clothed, even if scantily) prostitute to approach.  Lotus samples the wares with a kiss and whispers something in her ear and the woman whispers something back.  The woman walks off and Lotus replaces her helmet, awaiting orders with everyone else.

Lotus isn't sure if "we're going to take a close look" means everyone is supposed to start knocking down doors here, but she waits for further instructions.

You will now cease your solicitation and disperse this crowd or you will be forcibly removed. Should we bivouac here for the evening rest assured those soldiers fond of sexually trasmitted diseases will no doubt come and visit you."

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

Some of the prostitutes are simply not moving as quickly as Lieutenant Lynn would like. The last thing she wants is to see any civilian blood senslessly spilled. The brass typically frowns upon such things for some reason. Either way it is time to make an example of someone so that the others get the idea that it is not playtime.

"TEN! Seconds!" Portia yells as her Pain Whip unfurls at her side. The vicious barbed tip almost touches the ground as her hovercycle slowly moves up just a little more to give her the space she needs. "MOVE BITCHES!" She yells in a growl that almost makes her demonic minions proud. With a look back over her left shoulder she flicks her wrist and with practiced ease sends the bullwhip racing back and up over T-Rex shoulder blades to strike the hooker servicing Na-Wah in the back of the head. The mystical equivalent of a "Donkey-Punch" not only rips out a bloody hunk of flesh but inflicts the Agony spell on the poor woman.

Portia doesn't bother watching the aftermath of her callousness. She figures the last ten seconds are up so she barks out some orders pointing at a small group of prostitutes still in the area. "Burd round up those stragglers and take them to the south edge of town." She then points to a much more high class looking lady who was smart enough never to approach the group yet still stood back near the entrance to one of the bars and watched the proceedings. "Severin I want her for questioning take her into custody now. Wrex fly up above the town. If you spot anyone leaving in a hurry then stop them from doing so. Try to keep them alive if you can. The rest of you split into pairs and randomly sweep this shithole. The rules of engagement are an eye for an eye... or a head for an eye. Use your own discretion."

Dyvalis nods, but very discreetly. He turns toward Daemonis and speaks in Dragonese. "Go on, lead the way." He walks with Daemonis and casually leads the rest of the squad to Sgt. Forge's location. He doesn't not walk ahead of the group, but does give a "Let's go," from within the crowd.

The residents of Desire have almost completely vanished from sight, back into their homes, or the various establishments. The only resident Amaya can feast on is the naked one Severin carried away. People watch through windows as the squad moves into the main intersection, then turn north to meet up with Forge and Shimrod at the bar.

While Portia and Burd make their way elsewhere in town, Dyvalis squad arrives to the bar to find Sergeant Forge and Shimrod on their way out. There are several of these armored soldiers aiming weapons out of the windows, and a couple have taken positions on the roof. None of them have opened fire, they are just watching.

Portia flies over close to Burd and gives the captive a vicious punch in the mouth.

"You are one lucky little cunt. You better make sure you lock your doors at night bitch. Let her go she can walk back."

She says to the Thornhead Demon with a shrug of her shoulders. Turning her hovercycle back around she zips off back towards the town.

While Portia makes her way back to the center of town, there is a series of explosions to the south, followed by the sound of a glitter boy's boom gun, and then full blown gunfire exchange. This bar is no different and Dyvalis' crew is fired upon by anyone who can geta clear shot of them, along with Forge and Shimrod. Na-Wa finds himself the target of several roof top gunmen...

Portia increases the speed of her silently moving hovercycle while simultaneously increasing altitude so she will be a good hundred feet or so higher than the highest building in the town. She flips off the cap of her scroll tube as she and pulls out a few scrolls as she gets closer. Looking for and not immediately seeing the Baalrog demon flying around she calls him on the radio, Squad Two frequency. "Wrex! Attack! Find whoever is initiating hostile actions against Pluto Company and give me a goddamn impressive body count." Zipping over the town she spots a bunch of black armored soldiers scuttling across the rooftop of a three story building. "Looks enough like Coalition to me." Unfurling the scroll she gears down slowing slightly as she approaches the target reading the mystic words scrawled on the paper. The spell triggers and a large meteor streaks from the sky and hurtles towards the doomed structured. Lt. Lynn throttles back up to speed and heads off in search of another target of opportunity.

Na Wa takes one blast in the back of his left shoulder, and the 'rex is hit two or three times before leaving the open roof. With no apparent reason the shooting from the bar stops and they do nothing to prevent the mystically summoned meteor from the sky that crashes through the roof and levels the entire structure, likely killing all 30 soldiers inside...

Meanwhile Portia, on her way to the main intersection likewise summonsa meteor into a nearby hotel with troops visible on the roof. The entire building collapses and ignites... Portia moves closer to the main source of action...

At the main intersection, there are still a couple dozen resident soldiers gathered on the nearby rooftops, and a few scattered here and there around town, but no other focus point. All unarmed civilians have long since taken hiding in their homes.

Dyvalis hears the call on the radio about the incoming demon. "Lt. Lynn, I believe demon's are your specialty. I'll see what I can do about the rooftops."

The Elven Temporal Mage begins to sheath his wooden staff in his satchel despite how impossible it may seem. There in the mystic envelope of his satchel he keeps his left hand, while drawing (again impossibly from his shallow satchel) a light red metal sword, covered in runes. A spell is cast and he is surrounded by blades that seem to whiz around him like electrons around a nucleus. Then he side-steps and disappears.

Now atop one of 3 buildings where the militia had been gathering forces, Dyvalis watches as one man jumps to his death and 2 others surrender without a fight. Dyvalis is visibly pissed off. Through his field of invincible armor, his face can be seen contorting as the elf almost loses it, having to decide between the tactical advantage of a prisoner and the gratification of the hell he was about to unleash on these stupid sons of bitches. Luckily there were 2 of them.

He swiftly decapitates the first one to surrender. Then he turns to the other one with a sadistic glare. "Off the roof, NOW! I suggest you use your friend here to break your fall." He then looks at his watch and proceeds to count down, "4! 3! 2..." as he advances on the militia man, tightening his grip on the rune sword.

(This is on a roof top that Dyvalis had teleported to. Na-Wa likely would not know Dyvalis was up here, but may have seen the first guy to jump off the roof).

The first 'jumper' stops falling just before he hits the ground, then lands safely on his feet and makes a run for an alley on the other side of the street.

The surviving man, backs up right off the roof and lands on the sidewalk below. He is either dead or unconscious...

As Lt. Lynn flies by the rooftop where Dyvalis is apparently making men "walk the plank" she giggles and gives her Second a curt salute. Hearing Wrex on the radio she wrinkles her brow in frustration for a moment then gives him a more simple set of orders. "Convince it to join us under my complete authority or destroy it utterly. Either way you will please me Wrex."
