Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

After getting into Tolkeen and being released for a few days off, Lotus goes off to stow her Mystic Knight armour at Pluto's barracks and then heads into the city wearing her civilian clothes and riding her regular hovercycle.  She makes her way to an inn where she books a private room for the night.  She heads out to finally buy something she's been meaning to pick up for a while - a music player.  She purchases a decent-sized boom box with a memory disk slot and some choice selections of electronic/industrial music.

After returning to the Inn, Lotus seals herself inside the room, flips on the music to an obnoxious volume and sits on the floor for some much overdue meditation.  For once, Lotus allows herself to relax.

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

When Lieutenant Lynn found Tyirraks quarters, they were stark and the place smelled like fresh blood. Tyirraks armor was neatly laid out, sans a few parts being repaired, plates replaced and so-one. He himself was sitting in a corner, chewing on the raw leg of what appeared to be a freshly slaughtered small farm animal that was now draining blood into the sink.

Tyirraks stood and turned to face the Lieutenenant as saw him. He raised the leg, which was speared by the blade on the end of his tail and leaving his hands free.

"May I help you Lieutenant?"

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

She smiles at Dyvalis' antics, and asks (orders) him to follow her to Lieutenant Tyirrak's quarters.

Upon arrival, she is caught by surprise for a moment at the meal Tyirrak has chosen for himself. She forgot he was a lanotaur briefly, and is now reminded of his inherrant lack of civilization, and the likeness to the demons she controls.

"I would like to go over a few things regarding our new squad, and the unbalanced number of officers within. If necessary, I would like the squad to be able to split into two teams. I would lead one, and Tyirrak would lead the other. I apologize Dyvalis, but one of us had to miss out, and you have the least field experience.

I would take Burd and Severin with me obviously. And Vashti and yourself seem to work very well together, and was thinking the Mystic Knight would work well with the two of you (as well as Mystic Knights can work with others that is...) In the end I saw it something like this :

Portia
Dyvalis
Burd
Severin
Na-Wa
Mah

Tyirrak
Vashti
Daemonis
Thasha
Photios
Lotus

Is this agreeable?

Dyvalis, having not the energy to argue about things, is fairly complacent. Besides there is a whole world of things weighing on his mind presently. "Fine. As long as I get my Lieutenant's pay grade I don't care if you take away the responsibilities thereof and lump me in with your Demonic minions. It makes no difference at this point."

He continues to balance on his staff.

Tyirrak held the leg in one hand as his tail blade whisked past past it, neatly and surgically cut a slice of meat off the haunch, which he caught in the talons of his other hand and quickly swallowed.

Portia had attended the officer's meeting, and has just now returned to the barracks. She immediately calls the squad over the squad's radio channel.

"Sorry folks, we are going back out. The five days off has been cancelled. We leave this evening. Be ready outside the barracks at 1700 hours."

Thasha was upset when he heard the call. He was having the most fun of his life exploring all the amazing things in the City of Tolkeen. He did not want to leave, but he knew the war would not win itself.

His desire to fight for this wonderful Kingdom grew, and he prepared for battle with new found courage.

He will arrive outside the barracks at 1630 hours and wait.

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

Na-Wa, is seven inches deep into a whore when he hears Portia’s order over his suits radio, which has been turned all the way up. Perking his head up the psi-stalker listens to the mean magic ladies voice then goes back to what he was doing. When finished Na-Wa collects his things and makes his way to the corral where his silonar is being kept.

After waiting for the beast to eat several skull faced solders condemned to execution Na-Wa gets on top of his mount and makes his way to Pluto Company’s area. Along the way beast makes several attempts to either bite the head of any pedestrians that venture too close to the beast or throw Na-Wa off its back. With each unsuccessful attempt Na-Wa hits Silonar on top of its head with the flat side of Whon-Ecke, this is accompanied by a verbal scolding from Na-Wa.

By 1630 Na-Wa is in front of Second Squads barracks riding on his Silonar. By this time the beast has calmed down somewhat....but makes an occasional attempt to bite the head off of anyone who ventures too close.

Having found his way to a secluded spot near a ley line, Photios was interrupted by the call back to duty and donned a scowl at the removal of their time off. Having only enough time to restore his energy reserves to full and perhaps get fresh clothing and a shower, it seemed the war was finally starting to pick up on their end.

Arriving at the aforementioned time, Photios wishes he had enough time to get a meal in at one of the nicer local restaurants... but at the very least he wouldn't be teased with good food before having to return to trail rations.

At 1645 hours, Squad Three is already there, standing at attention. Squad One and Four are just arriving along with 2nd.

Captain Viktor is standing in front of a map, waiting for everyone to arrive, and stand at attention.

Everyone's vehicles are parked near-by, and several young Tolkeen children are playing on top of Amy's dropship. One boy is wearing a cut out mask of a skull chasing the others on top of the ship shouting "genocide!" at the others, while they all laugh, and continue to play unsafely.

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

Viktor begins the briefing at 1657 hours, with all four squads giving him their full attention.

"I want to apologise for pullig you all out of your time off. I don't like it any more than you do, but orders are orders. We are heading to Freehold first to join with a small party of dragons, before heading out on our mission first thing tomorrow morning. We will be assaulting a Coalition base just north west of the ruins of Madtown with the dragons. We will attack in four groups from the north west, with Drano and Portia taking their squads inside a Coalition sympathising town, for a surgical strike, while 1st move out with the dragons, looking for a specific flying battle-station that is currently sitting at this base. Squad Four will hang back at a designated area, to cover our retreat when our tasks are complete. Our recon on this area is obsolete for the most part, and as such we will need to decipher the situation better when we arrive.

In addition to this assault, there are a small group of Tolkeen deserters planning on releasing information to the Dead Boys. They are headed to the same outpost, and we are to intercept them before they arrive, and kill or capture every last one of them. The officers are being supplied with a personal coputer with profiles on the groups leaders, and a general information roster on their troops.

Are there any intelligent questions before we head out?"

Lotus arrived just as the Captain walked up to the front of the briefing and she made it to her seat just before he apologized for taking back their time off.  She was obviously rushing from somewhere as she was breathing heavily in her seat for the first minute.  She listens to the mission briefing attentively however.

Lotus ponders asking a question when the captain offers the opportunity, but decides to wait.  Seems like a straightforward operation to me she thinks.

Dyvalis is looking better than when Lt. Lynn found him in his quarters. He seems to have regained his composure, but there's definitely something different about him. His eyes seem to look through everyone. Though he listens attentively, he doesn't show any reaction. When Mah introduces himself, Dyvalis looks at the D-bee but does not make eye contact. When Mah expresses his 'pride' to be serving with Pluto, Dyvalis laughs; not for long, and with no explanation.

The briefing lives up to its name, and within 3 minutes it is wrapped up. "1700hrs. It's time to move."

Daemonis, no longer to depend much on Dyvalis' assistance, finds himself using Tongues to understand more about this world. This would not be the first time he's found himself out of his home dimension. He's seen variations of this realm, but every universe had its unique evolutions. He was beginning to understand that to be here, at this critical juncture in the fate of this planet, was not to be missed by sitting on the sidelines.

After Mah's introduction Daemonis felt compelled to offer an explanation of his own. "I am him," he said pointing at Dyvalis, "in another universe. I'm called Daemonis."

Thasha is bored during the meeting, as he does not understand half of what is being said. His attention turns to Na-Wa who appears to be another child like himself.

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

Na-Wa didn’t know what the word intelligent meant, so he didn’t ask any questions. He really didn’t pay attention to the Captain either. Others would tell Na-Wa what to look for and kill, and Na-Wa would do as he is told.

Thasha:
"Hi Na-Wa... I don't think we met yet... I am Thasha. Do you want to be friends, so we don't have to die alone?"

After the Scaly lizard man speaks Na-Wa looks at him, and wonders how the Scaly lizard man knew his name. “Na-Wa’s last best friend was named Feral, he was stupid like Na-Wa, but and went bye bye before battle came. Will Scaly lizard man run away too before battle? If not yes Na-Wa and Scaly lizard man can be friends, but Na-Wa don’t plan on to die.”

“Just stay away from Silonar’s....” Na-Wa pointed to a baby Tyrannosaurus Rex that was tied up to a nearby building and out of reach of anyone and anything “...mouth, he likes to eat crunchy things, like Skull faced soldiers. Silonar might think Scaly lizard man might be good to eat.”

Re: C10 : Third Platoon : Squad Two

Without any further questions or delays, all eight platoons of Pluto Company head out from Tolkeen, on their short and hopefully uneventful journey to Freehold, City of Dragons. With just under 250 soldiers, the Coalition would likely have to have ten times as many troops in order to stage a legitimate attack... although that doesn't rule it out, and there is always the possibility of running into an unprepared unit, which could still cause a disturbance. However with thousands of reinforcements in the area, Pluto Company is relatively safe.

The road to Freehold, is a busy road. All kinds of soldiers, mercenaries and civilians are constantly moving between the two cities, on a very wide, paved road. There are small bunkers and stationary weapons all along, and hundreds of troops who have yet to even see combat. They are just waiting for the inevitable moment when the Coalition forces will come into sight on the horizon... Many of the Cyber Knights have taken on this duty of "home defense" rather than partaking in the crimes of humanity and the horrors of war that Tolkeen has found itself increasingly comfortable with.

So far... the journey is mostly quiet...

Lotus departs with the rest of her squad and mostly keeps to herself.  She keeps her demonic helmet on, and rides her hovercycle without interacting with others.  The mystic knight seems a little more grumpy than usual, as if something happened during her time off, but she's not about to discuss it with anyone.
