...oh GOD. Really, Ron? Man. I don't have the system, but I have a feeling I probably wouldn't need it. It feels like one of 'those' games that I can just fly by the seat of my pants with.
It's a pretty cooperative game, generally, so once I get to my books, I can help with anything, too, if Ron doesn't mind. Assuming I get to my books in time. But as I remember - it's an entirely percentile based system, so once you know what your powers ("Edges")
are, it is, indeed, pretty easy to pick up on without needing the books in front of you all the time. But there are lots of choices to be made when you're making your character, so depending on how much Ron plans to do in terms of typing things up, that's the part where the books can be important.
If Ron's going to type out the first quarter of the main book, then it's easy. If he doesn't want to do that, then once you've picked what kind of monster you want to be, it narrows the list down enough that it'd be easier for somebody helpful to write up a quicker list of what you're really picking from, and some details on the ones that aren't obvious just by the name. There
are, I'm pretty sure, a handful of Edges that get more detailed, but in the end, you'd probably only end up needing details on one of those, two tops.
I'll be more than happy to play our Sorceror. As with many systems, you really
do need the Magic book for that. I have it.
It's in a box.
Somewhere in the garage.
But I do have it.
Cyan:
This STINKS! Or something. :(
"Rocks," I think, is the word you're looking for. Also, your parentheses is upside-down. I'd Edit for you, but RPoL won't let me.
sniff Believe me, I've tried.
Cyan and Aaron! Yay!
