He already cleans my clock in warfare!  Does he have to take posting as well?  :(

[wails despairingly]  I'm no good!  I'm useless!

Re: New OOC Thread.

So... how was everybody's Christmas?

My own was quiet and quite enjoyable.
Unlike my brother's... but then anybody who buys a six year old child a karaoke machine for Christmas is just asking to have his day ruined.  ;)

Re: New OOC Thread.

Well, no family members tried to kill each other this year, and the 'he said, she said, they did' thing was kept to a bare minimum. I guess I can't ask for much more then that. :)

My Christmas was decidedly uneventful, but it was enjoyable. I find my in-laws to be... amusing around the holidays. >P

Someone had to do what?  :)  If you're referring to your post, I think you need to reread my one to Aaron - I, personally, don't read any self-pity in there at all, just a bit of acceptance that things have been difficult.  It wasn't meant to have any, either.  :)

But hey, if everyone thinks I'm wallowing, please let me know...

Re: New OOC Thread.

Perhaps because the post was directed at me, I think that I got it exactly as it was intended, Cyan. :)

I'll pose this question though: is anyone else cursed with the "scan-reading" disease? You just scan through the post, get a vague gist of it, and then respond? :P

Trust me, I've really done my best to stop doing that. The more info I have, the more coherent my posts.

Re: New OOC Thread.

Oh!  :)  I was worried that I was being overly whiny.  :)

[uncertainly] Head patting's acceptable...I think.

^_^

Aaron - it HAS happened - fortunately other players have pointed out my errors, and I've been able to go back and figure out a way around it.  :)  Or change it outright.

These days, I try to make certain everything has been READ.  :)

Re: New OOC Thread.

Aaron I used to do that ALOT and then realized that no one was calling me on my errors so I just sounded like an ass.... then again I still sound like an ass sometimes, but then hopefully it's just when my true personality rears its ugly head ;)

Cyan, it doens't matter if you are getting excessively whiney. All is fair play in in character playing. As long as it's in character for Cyan you have nothing to worry about as far as our scorn goes, right guys?

Re: New OOC Thread.

Well...it's not actually IN character.  Cyan has a flair for melodrama, but that's all (and it shouldn't be whiney, weepy melodrama).  I'll have to keep an eye on that. :)

Re: New OOC Thread.

Hey Y’all I’m back!

Nice little road trip, but I keep forgetting I despise the truly large cities. :p

The Gulf was nice as is warm temps this time of year, In some ways road trips are good, in others I hate drive time. :p

Still, the ocean, sea food, warn nights, good Corona’s and good compadres made it all worth while.

Good to see you all kept busy without me. ;-)

Now back to remodeling projects.

Time Out Called.

Due to the possibly sporadic nature of my internet access over the next 10-12 days, and since everybody is in a nice safe place where nothing bad will happen unless they do it to themselves (Jack, Aaron... play nice), I am calling a Time Out at this point in the game, while I run off to the balmy tropical shores of Sweden for a well-deserved holiday, consisting of (I'm told) sun, sea, and sand.
I've been promised sun-drenched golden sands, palm trees waving in the gentle breeze, and swimming with fish that are living gems of the ocean.  I've packed my shorts, sandals, and sun cream, and I expect to be sporting a healthy tan upon my return.

Just kind of hang around the hospital until about the 13th, when I'll be back and fit for posting.  You'll find the coffee machine just down there, and a cafeteria a bit further along.  Try to stay out of trouble.

You too Berd... I don't want a repeat of the last incident, or Cyan will be short half a drake.  Clear?
