Me, Berd, Lenore. The Dream Team. It's simple. No other choice makes sense. We represent a perfect balance of the three classical elements of Being; Flesh, Spirit, and... um... Chicken Kibble. Now, throw the ball! Throw the darn ball!

As all good regret should be. Regret over the little losses that put the big losses into perspective. "Rubbing his temple (god, how fine it would be to rub them both), Aaron slowly nodded at Cyan's words." --- Aaron, on the loss of his hand. The Nose is plotting a conspiracy with the Archons to cause the downfall of all reality, only the Archons don't know that the Nose is actually a double-agent. They figure it out eventually (Chapter 46) and, well, there you have it. Although technically, if we go by Hitchhiker terms, Chapter 42 should've given us all the answers already, but... whatever. Life, the Universe and Everything seems so, so small in comparison with the damage-absorbing powers of my nose. THAT'S where all my Endurance points go. Aaron OOC, regarding Aaron IC

Aaron. Stormbringer, Page 8. He holds the sketchbook out to her, his face pale, ashen, drained, hopeless. "I said I'd never lie to you. That still stands. More importantly, you know I'd never lie to myself. This is me." The last words were pain. ~done~ A small voice inside him said. ~it'll be alright~ ~it's over~ Dorian. Stormbringer, Page 8. Aaron: "For some reason, I simply find the idea of Dworkin finding some sort of "giant devouring evil cloud of death" completely at random to be more psychologically understandable than, say, a mad, billion-year-old dwarf deliberately creating an anchor of reality to specifically find something that kills everything. Keep in mind, though, that both those ideas are awesome to me, so Dworkin wins points regardless." Luke: "Lovely. And people say I'm a monster." (Aaron and Luke, in a bit of OOC banter regarding Dworkin's sanity - and their own by comparison.) |
