Aaaand...that didn't work out well.  :(  Too many injuries, too much to think about.  Apologies, but there we are, a post with some actual questions for our guests!  :D

Re: Informative post - every game needs one.

It has been pointed out to me that allowing an alien species to lay eggs on your ship traditionally results in a single crew member escaping in a life pod, after setting the ship's power plant to explode in a nuclear fireball.

So I'm compiling a short list.  Who here knows about making things explode?

As an Ex-Scout I am sure could make a power plant explode  :)

Re: Informative post - every game needs one.

Sadly, you're male.  So you probably die.  Probably in some kind of last stand with Yasmine, our military person.

Also sadly, I'm the somewhat-passive ship's doctor, so I probably die.

If I had to guess who lives, I'd say Saskia.

...sorry, Jago.  Captains die second.  Right after the pilot.

...sorry Ash.  :(

Yep.  It would certainly be Saskia -  she probably is the only one who could jury rig an escape capsule anyway :)  But it might be fun trying.

And just to heighten the tension, the alien lays eggs (multiple), and it's a self-confessed carnivore.

Mind you, I suspect we could set the environment to 0% humidity for a while  :P

Re: Informative post - every game needs one.

Unfortunately humidity settings in the cabins are individually adjustable.  :D

Saskia could probably do something about that, but she'll be too busy overriding the safety interlocks on the fusion plant, and converting her shower into an escape capsule...

Ooo, NICE.  :)

Does that mean someone gets to hit you with a fire extinguisher?

I hope not; Ash has already been shot up and perforated enough in his previous tours of military service to last a lifetime.  But, since when was life fair?  So, I suspect that someone might get the change to (fire) extinguish Ash...

Re: Informative post - every game needs one.

Okay... Christmas is almost here, and between work and home I have a ton of stuff to do, which is why things have slowed down a little in all of my games.  :(

So I'm declaring a holiday in the game (well, all of them) from now until the New Year, when I will have an actual holiday from work for two weeks, and should be able to catch up on things.
