Profit Margin - Extolay/Lanth (0101) Date: 309-1107 09:10
The work actually takes a little longer than expected, though only by about ten hours.
Which pleases Jago. They're still well within the usual layover period for most starships. Add to which that the cargo hold has been emptied during those few days, then refilled with a full load for Dinomn - fruit, grain, seeds and vegetables for the most part, being shipped as freight, at a standard fee of Cr1,000 per ton. The only exception being a batch of five cases containing mining machinery, and even that is going at freight rate. Jago has received half the fee (Cr20,000 for the whole 40 tons of cargo) in advance, and the rest will be paid by the recipients at Dinomn.
Shui, after having had breakfast with them at the Crucis Hotel, has escorted the passengers back to the ship just a few minutes ago, and is currently ensuring that they are settling back into their cabins, after several days in the much more spacious accommodation on the orbital city.
Yas and Tylen are both on duty at the moment, having decided to overlap what is probably their last shift here. Jago has already told them to expect two more passengers, travelling together. One of them is a Vilani executive called Bilad Turshegahn, and the other is his administrative assistant, a Bwap (or Newt, to use one of the more polite Human slang terms for the species).
Saskia never left the ship while the port techs were aboard, and has spent the last couple of hours inspecting their work for poor connections, damaged components, inadequate fitting, scuffed paint, dirty fingerprints, and anything else she can find that might allow her to reject it and start it over herself...
