Mission 4 - A Roundhouse Kick

Travelling the next day with Cabo was a bit less unsettling then one might think.  Assassins weren't known for anything less then sneaky behavior, but Cabo seemed to be quite talkative, though he doted, apparently, on Michaela.  Dog he avoided for the most part, and the priests he tested on faith.

The day's travel was refreshing.  It was a bit breezy, but the sun was out and there were no clouds to be seen.  You ate some of your rations, but it was a freshly killed snake that Dog clubbed in the head with a rock that was the main course.  Over dinner, Cabo once again discussed the situation.

(OOC - Guys & Girl, I'm not going to have you thrust right into a tomb without giving you a chance to learn more about it.  If you want to proceed onwards right away, just drop me a pm at the end of your next post.)

"I do think there's more you should know about what you're facing.  I'm not going to lie to you.  Any one of you could die." Cabo pulled a piece of meat from a spit and took a bite.

Re: Mission 4 - A Roundhouse Kick

Dog said, "Yep, probably.  Death Knight is not a title to be taken lightly.  So what does one do?  Do they dislike being hit multiple times by large metal objects?"  That seems to be his way of handling things, but then again, there's often a place for that.  "We gonna hit a town before then or just go straight in?"

[private to you:  Just wondering if the ring was magical and what it did.  He didn't want to ask any of these people right now.]

Re: Mission 4 - A Roundhouse Kick

"More importantly than your shopping needs, do they burn, and what else is down there? Not just the Knight, right?" Michaela was somewhat unsettled by Cabo's apparent fixation. It was the first time anyone had concentrated that much on her since her original training with the Guild.

Re: Mission 4 - A Roundhouse Kick

Xavier traveled with the group and was looking for an opportunity to bend these people to the will of the great god and make the msee his way but it was to soon for him yet to enforce tyrany on these people. He had prayed at every midnight to his god asking his wisdom and guidance in the comming matter. Sitting at the fire he also enjoyed the roasted snake and chipped in on the conversation.

"It is indeed curious why one of your trade has trouble with only one enemy."

Dog watches the elf waiting for answers to all their questions.

Cyrus put up a hand after Xavier's comment.  If anything, he was the Banite's biggest threat for the moment.  Priests of different faiths were often at odds, but priests of evil faiths were often downright hostile towards each other.

"It's a Death Knight, lad.  That ogre was easy.  It was more then you could handle.  This is not going to be easy.  This is going to be hard. Very Hard."

Dog chuckles, "Yes, maybe you could invite him to one of your services."  The bore him to death was implied but not said.  "So tell us, Cyrus, why is this going to be very hard?"

Re: Mission 4 - A Roundhouse Kick

When Cyrus points at Cabo, the elf tilts his head to the side and takes a slight bow before continuing.  "For starters, it's an undead.  Besides the normal advantages that provides, the Death Knight is magic resistant."  The elf paused.  "I haven't seen it yet, but they're also rumored to cast a few spells themselves."

He looked at the group with a raised eyebrow.

Re: Mission 4 - A Roundhouse Kick

Dog ticks off the points, "Okay, undead, fine.  Nothing special there, it just means they haven't figured out if they are dead or not yet.  Magic resistance?  Not my ball of yarn so I don't care about that.  He tosses spells?  Again, that's up to the others to make sure we don't blow up.  Now I ask, can he be hurt my weapons?"

Re: Mission 4 - A Roundhouse Kick

"Undead. That means he's loads tougher than a normal person, you can't trick or bluff him, you're basically limited to hacking away until you smash something off." Michaela shrugged. "If only it were a mummy. I heard they burn real well." She grinned. "You clerics are pretty much the only magic support we've got, you think you can lock his magic down?"

Re: Mission 4 - A Roundhouse Kick

Dog grins, "Well, good, they don't like getting hit."  He looks at the cleric types wondering who the other one was besides Xavier.  It's not like he knew much about these people.
