D&D (5e, mainly) Alignment Concept
I'm personally not much for alignment meaning morality. I mean it does, but then murder and misapprehension of wealth, and social injustice, religious zelotry and such make me really doubt good is "good". So I see it as propensity to good. Paladins can murder goblins, it they feel the necessity, even if more charitable and effective means are there.
I don't think my gaming system should dictate morality, Ithink my story, my players and I make that decision, and it's still very difficult. Being Lawful Good might as well be min STR 13, for me. It's so I know holy avenger works, and an holy smite won't hurt them (if that exists in 5e, dunno TBH).
That's me. And I'd hope most people aren't fighting with their friends or fellow players over what is the question we still haven't answered in 10,000+ RL years.
