Premier League Football: Who You Got?

Surely I can't be the only Crystal Palace supporter. OR CAN I?

Well, I started to say 'good job for Palace this morning', Doc, but then I realized the Wolves scored at the last minute. Still, better than my boys have been doing lately!

Ah. I'll root for Chelsea, which rhymes with Elsie, my mother's middle name.

Being an American, all I really know much about is Manchester United - they've a rowdy bunch of fans from what I see, and that's a good sign of a team well-loved.

I hope all teams in the League play at their best every time they take the field.

And who are your boys, SunRuanEr? Also, yeah, heartbreaking draw against Wolves. Better than a loss, but should've been 3 points. Still, took down Norwich, and we're currently above Man U, so that's fun.

I can't think of Coventry City without thinking of Monty Python's Flying Circus. Also, I used to be Arsenal, but am now Palace, much to the anger and dismay of some, and the good-hearted laughter and concern about my mental health of others. :D

Reckon they can climb out of the relegation zone before it's too late?

"Coventry City last won the FA Cup in what year?  No?  Well I'm not surprised you didn't get that.  It was in fact a trick question.  Coventry City have never won the FA Cup."

Everton.

Who in their moments of brilliance, are wonderful, but as of late have been letting me down mightily. Or, should I say, Silva has. I don't blame the players on the field, I blame him for choosing to put those players on the field.

Edit: No hard feelings for keeping us from getting Zaha! :)

Yes, if we get rid of Bruce, gain an owner who is not Ashley and witness snow fallimg in hell. And that's if we manage to keep all 11 players on the pitch...

So normal season for us then.

Still, could be worse - we could be supporting Sunderland. *grin*

Splash the cash and he's yours in January! He wants to go, and we're apparently willing to sell him. In the meantime though I hope he racks up some goals for us. :)

I'm not sure we can afford another expensive benchwarmer, since that's all Silva seems to want to do with the new guys. You can keep him, and I'll just pull for Palace, too - how about that? :)

...although geeze it's been a terrible day so far for every team I even halfway like to root for (and poor Lloris, gah), so maybe I should not pull for Palace. You'll do better.

Re: Premier League Football: Who You Got?

Well, Palace weren't expected to beat City, so no surprises there. Our next four games promise to be nearly as challenging: Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool. Good win for Everton against the Hammers!

Also read a rumor today that we're going to make a bid for Olivier Giroud from Chelsea. That would be VERY interesting.

Re: Premier League Football: Who You Got?

City, Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea, and Liverpool in a row? Top-five in five sounds painful, but I have faith in Palace for a good showing at the very least! Everton definitely needed that win against West Ham (credit Silva for finally switching things up), and I'd like to say our next set of fixtures look promising, but we seem to have more trouble against teams we should handle well than against the giants.

...at least we can probably beat the Spurs, the way they've been playing? <.<

Happy hunting for Giroud!

Re: Premier League Football: Who You Got?

I'd just like to point out that Crystal Palace are sitting in 10th place despite having played Man City, Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea, & Liverpool since October 19, and are only 3 points out of 5th. Fingers crossed we do well in the January transfer window and are able to compensate for the likely loss of Zaha.

I'm just glad Everton finally sacked Silva. The season has to go up from here.
