Adult Access : Blocked and Denied

I know why: I made up a birth-date when registering so my response at the prompt was different. There is of course a very easy way to get around it (make up a new account and just record the 'birthday').

Blocked though. No way to appeal it. Should I just make a new anonymous account?

When sending an rMail (link at the top right of the screen), there are two check boxes:

To/cc Administrator
To/cc Moderators

Just check the second one.

just throwing this out there?... people get banned for faking  their age? If you like RP, don't get thrown out , just because you want in games you cannot access yet?

 check the  'lost souls ; thread..many Bodies  there from those who  thought they would  'beat the system,' of people who just want to screw things up for others.

In the past I have lost players only to find thier nicks in the Lost Souls, cause they went stupid and don't understand that the moderators can see your URL and other information needed to see if you have more than one account.

yeah , I lost one. He was a good player, and even ran his own game..turns out  he did something  with  accounts?.. his game was shut  down, and I had to remove him..damn shame...but?.. there is a reason for rules...

 I have  2 names on my Ban list, if they could switch  accounts anytime they want..they would be harrassing my players  and  i'd have to ban them until one of us got tired of  doing stupid  stuff!

People do not get banned for lying about their age - the system will automatically suspend their Adult access discrepancies in submitted birth dates, and alert the Mods.  So no ban, just a (possibly temporary) restriction on what they can access.

Duplicate accounts do get banned, and the owner is asked to contact us regarding the site's Multiple Account policy.  If they don't contact us within a week or so, then their original account will also be banned until such time as they do get in touch.

We had a spectacular one in a game once, where we lost a player to what we thought was inactivity, and then recruited for a replacement, got a replacement and then he disappeared too.

Turned out the first player got tossed for falsifying adult access, and the "replacement" was the first guy's second account that then got tossed for being a second account. The GM and I still laugh about that one.

I check, every now  and then, the names that are banned, or had  trouble. I use that when people RTJ and I 'interview ' them before letting them in?

 I can't believe some of the things whack jobs  do?... why?  the site is  for game players, why screw around? its like , poor man's  hackers?.. or flat out jerks?

I made the same mistake many years ago. I'm close to 50 years old and I can not play adult games here on RPOL because I felt that my information my not be safe. I too forgot the info used when i opened the account and I am currently unable to play adult games. I have missed out a some good prospects.

I thought about some of what has been discussed here and the trouble is just not worth the effort so I never made another account and figured the material posted in an adult game it not really what I'm into.

The only really sad part is many very good GMs use the adult setting to control the maturity and even in some causes they feel the quality of a player. This really stinks because I know I'm a good player for the type of games I enjoy & play but loss out.

Hope some of these GMs see this and realize there are many that did the same, and both ends are missing out.

 Cal, I have a friend that has trouble  gettign and keeping players because her games are so slow...she uses  'adult' to try to keep  kids out. her game has had no  Adult  scenes in the  years I have been there.

 I use 'Mature' for the same reason, there are 'kids' who are  decent players, but people  get blow up  eaten ect ect in space. so  this keeps  serious  gamers in and goofy players out.

 I think of my game as a decent Vidor game, were  people, creatures  ecte ct get blow up..killed.. drama, hummer  excitement ect ect… I also hope  when I get older players  they are  'in for the long haul'
