Owen E Oulton:
Because of the current CoViD 19 pandemic, my nursing home is on lockdown. Tis means that my face-to-face gaming group is not able to meet until the crisis is over. Therefore, my gaming group which normally meets about once a month, has decided to use RPoL to carry on. I really want to thank the staff and the whole community for making this a place where we can get together and game rather than going through game withdrawal.
Thanks, guys 'n' gals.
It's great that RPOL can help out, and I completely agree with your thanks to all the people that help RPOL run, but have you considered using something like Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds to meet up online via webcams?
My weekly face to face group is shifting to Roll20 and an occasional gaming group I'm part of is talking about meeting up on Fantasy Grounds weekly to do something new to alleviate the boredom of being stuck inside for the next few months (I'm UK based and it looks like we might need to self isolate/practice social distancing for about 3 months).
RPOL is great but if you can set up a way of seeing friends' faces as well then I think that it will really help people get through all of this.
