The joys of responsive. No funky colors. (Also, thank goodness I remembered it was April Fool's before reading your title, or I'd have been scared for two seconds!)

I hate this kind of joke. Its not funny.

The humor lies not in any of the April Fool’s statements themselves, but rather the (over)reaction they tend to get from folks.

Harrumphing and declaring the joke to be unfunny sort of has the opposite effect.

Because now it’s funny. :)

You know, I kind of miss the special themes.  Since I have a custom one, I never see them and I'm too lazy to risk losing my custom settings.

I kinda wish that Nature would say that the last few months have been one giant, unfunny April's Fools ... so thanks for the smile.

There's these meme that's circulating in the Polish side of FB:

For a certain sort of person, yes. And there is joy in beating the crap out of someone smaller and younger...for a certain sort of person.

I didn't even think about April Fool jokes this year.  Didn't see too many, with everyone being so serious about the happenings in the world.  But then I saw a YouTube video that said MtG is shutting down paper Magic and going to a strictly online format.  It was a minute into the video before I realized what was going on and skipped to the end. *facepalm*

One I wish wasn't a joke was that the Lakers would be awarded the trophy due to an obscure bylaw.  Was kinda hoping that one was real... :-D

Seconded. The "humour" is basically "ha ha, you cared about this person or thing, look at this loser who cares about something".

Good pranks are ones that just confuse the heck out of the pranked party without doing any harm, like those folk who plonked a portakabin with a full mockup business meeting in front of a portaloo whilst some builder was inside.

For the future, if it ever comes to the point that RPoL shuts down, it will be announced by jase, or in the unlikely event that jase was completely unavailable, it would come from a Mod.

It would also be in the announcement section.
